Poll: Romney the frontrunner in 2016?
CNN's Political Ticker ^ | June 19, 2014 | Paul Steinhauser, political editor

He's said over and over that he won't run for the White House a third time, but a new poll indicates that if Mitt Romney changed his mind and made another bid for president, he'd be the frontrunner among Republicans in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.

According to the Suffolk University/Boston Herald survey, which was released Thursday, 24% of Granite State Republicans and independents who lean towards the GOP say that Romney would be their first choice for their party's presidential nomination.

Among the potential 2016 GOP contenders, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie was a distant second, at 9%, with Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 8%, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 7%.

While the survey may make headlines, it's important to remember that Romney's very well known in New Hampshire. He owns a vacation home in the state, has often appeared at GOP events in New Hampshire, and was governor of neighboring Massachusetts. Romney easily won the 2012 Republican primary, but lost the state by six percentage points to President Barack Obama in the general election....

If you were a real godly person you would have discerned me by the Holy Spirit and have known what I meant.

Since mindreading is REALLY looked down upon here; it's so much easier if you'd typed what you meant; instead of hoping that others are going to be able to discern your thoughts on the subject.

Something about refusal to donate to FR based on its reaction to Romney, while hoping others do it for you.

You may have a hard time finding it if the person was banned.

A LOT of Mittbot's were foaming at the mouth that their chosen heresy was getting so much negative press on FR.

I can remember quite a few that threatened Jim in this manner of finances.

To paraphrase something I've read somewhere:

Romans 11:4
And what was God's answer to him?
"I left to Myself seven thousand men, who did not bow a knee to Baal."

Why didn’t you know you were duped in 2008?

A LOT of folks were duped in the 1830's...

...and it's still going on today.

...and THEREBY reduce the mandate of whichever leftist collectivist wins...

Like we were gonna hold Mitt's feet to the fire if HE won?

Come on; Everyone knows that all you gotta do is WIN!

77% vs 23% ain't no better than 50.7% vs 49.3%

This only works if typed.

Actually saying it falls WAY short of it’s intent.

"I will not vote for Hillary Clinton under any circumstance."

Unless she switched parties. You'll vote Socialist so long as it carries the "R" label.

One point for me in the Presidency is that this person is going to be the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces...I believe it should be a requirement that they have served in the Military, at least as a Reservist

There is some credence to that thought, but keep in mind that while it worked out well with Truman, Eisenhower; Nixon, Ford, Reagan and both Bushes, not so much for JFK, LBJ, and Jimmah Cawttare.

Overall, an understanding of the military really helps a President weigh his decisions with more facts at hand, it’s not a successful solution to all decisions though. Many Governors can learn from overseeing the Guard units in their state, however to make those critical world decisions, it would be better if that leader had the experience and training of our military.

You have this amazing ability to put my thoughts into a coherent logical format saying exactly what I am thinking. Thank-you. If I am ever in the position that I need a ghost writer for my autobiography the job is yours if you want it.

Won’t it ALWAYS be ‘the lesser of the two’?

It hasn't always been in the past and it can be electing the best candidate again. It wasn't between Ronaldus and Carter or Mondale. It was between Obastard and McLame, and Mittens, but it does not have to be.

We need to find a candidate with solid conservative principles and the ability to articulate those to the American public.

I agree but there have been some very notable exceptions as I pointed out.

RE:”Good job! You’re staying in the good graces of the Romney/Bush haters”

Man you incessantly whine about nothing, its OK to love RINOs like Romney if you want. Others though ....?

RE :”Remember, Dick Cheney knew......it’s a shame you didn’t.”

You mean his support for gay marriage?
No I cant agree with that even if Cheney is on on your side on that issue.

I found it.

Times are hard. There are surely folks who can't spare even a bit to donate to FR. But to announce your refusal to do so because your poor little feelings got hurt? That's taking whining to a new level. Then to encourage others to donate for you so you can keep using the site...that makes you a deliberate freeloader. That's the polar opposite of how conservatives behave, and I find it disgusting.
