BLACK AUTHOR SAYS: "BILL COSBY IS RIGHT!"
Los Angeles- Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, author of SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America, is speaking out in support of comedian Bill Cosby, who stunned NAACP leaders with his remarks at a Constitution Hall event in Washington on Monday commemorating the 50th anniversary of Brown vs. Board of Education.
According to news reports, Cosby said: ".The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They're buying things for their kids--$500 sneakers for what? And won't spend $200 for 'Hooked on Phonics.'"
He added: "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is'. And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. .Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. .You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"
Rev. Peterson responded: "Bill Cosby is right! It's about time that high profile blacks openly spoke the truth about the problems in the black community. This is what most blacks say in the privacy of their homes, barbershops and amongst other blacks. I'm surprised that he [Cosby] made these comments in front of NAACP leaders."
The report stated that Cosby's remarks were met with "astonishment, laughter and applause from the audience, while NAACP head Kweisi Mfume, and other black leaders looked "stone-faced." Rev. Peterson said, "The establishment black leaders don't want blacks to take responsibility for their mistakes. They want blacks to continue blaming the "white man." This type of honest dialogue is long overdue-It's the only way to help black Americans. "

I don't fully trust Cosby, if I'm not mistaken he's a solid RAT, but on this issue I agree. Good for him for bringing the issue front and center.

I've watched countless reruns and have never heard a word uttered Ebonics except when it was done for a punchline joke.
It only makes sense that to be successful in the country you live in...whatever country that is, you need to speak the language. It's not bigotry to expect every citizen of a political entity to be fluent in the common tongue.
Well, I guess you can be outraged over racism AND realize that black families need to take responsibility for their own success or failure.
If I was a Black dude, I'd be scratching my head right now, asking myself what did we Black folks get for all those years of support for the Democrat Party. Blacks are now the second largest minority group in the USA. Hispanics are now number one! Millions of Black children can neither read or write! Blacks have been and will stay at the bottom of the economic totem pole. Hispanics and Asians, that's where the politcal power is. Worse than all this is the fact that Arab Muslim terrorists are having a field day slaughtering Blacks in Africa. When Black beloved John Kerry turns over the USA to the United Nations, the slaughters of American Jews, Christians and Blacks will begin right here in the good ole USA! Man, if I were a Black dude, I wouldn't be voting for John Kerry! Not unless I wish to be riding the bus to heaven. And....in the back of the bus...too!

Jesse Lee Peterson is NO FOOL. He is capitalizing on a watershed event in modern black America, a high profile black actually breaking silence in front of the poverty pimps of the NAALCP, and telling it like Rev. Peterson has been saying FOR YEARS!

He changed somewhat after his son was murdered. He appreciated the police and their investigation/prosecution.
The irony is that at some point in the furure, the young black will be denied a job because he can't speak Spanish.
Well, it made the news big time this time...good for him!
