1) the Keyan BC was needed for the divorce.
2) Stanley Ann’s lawyer advised a BC was needed to enroll young Barry into school
I think there would be threats of civil violence from the usual race baiters if Obama was removed from office. Too f’ing bad. If he is not eligible, he’s gotta go, no matter what race, etc.
If Obama Sr. understood the citizenship issue on his own, he may have wanted an American son to have Kenyan citizenship. It certainly would help out the family.

This might explain why they got his birth announcement into the Hawaiian press listing an address for his parents at which they had never lived - but was the address of a pair of left-wing professors who were friends of Stanley Ann’s parents.

According to Wikipedia, Kenya was made a Crown Colony of Great Britain in 1920 and remained in this status until its independence on December 12, 1963. Before 1920, Kenya was within the British East Africa Protectorate. It states that the republic was established a year after the 1963 independence and I infer from this that the Republic of Kenya formally dates from 1964.
