Hinds County only had 861 absentee ballots -- so maybe that is a good sign...
Forrest County had 529 votes (part of Hattiesburg)
Lamar County had 449 votes (other part of Hattiesburg).
However, Lauderdale County (Meridian) had over 1000 votes.
Also, Rankin County (Jackson) had the most absentee ballots at over 1200 votes.
Rankin County and Hind County split Jackson, MS in two just as Forrest County and Lamar County split Hattiesburg in two...
Maybe some of these counties should be watched for the votes coming in...
All of Jackson is in Hinds county. Rankin county is Brandon and other suburban commuter communities.
the ‘Jackson’ you may see in Rankin county on a map is in fact the muni airport and its grounds.
If you read the kingfish (jackson jambalaya) thread on the election returns, one of the comments indicates that the ballot boxes that were involved in the Johnnie Dupree fraud are several times more full this go around than they were for the primary on june 3. Make of that what you will...
Desoto County - Memphis (suburbs, that is)
Jackson County - Pascagoula
Harrison County - Gulfport/Biloxi/Pass Christian/Bay St Louis
Additionally:
Madison County is on the North side of Jackson, MS
And:
Lee County has Tupelo, MS
These counties had reasonable numbers of absentee ballots...
The Lousisiana Code regarding Death/removal from voter roles. I don’t see
why this approach can’t be used nationwide as it seems simple enough.

FWIW, these were the initial primary results for those counties:
Hinds County: Cochran 66%-33%
Forrest County: McDaniel 55%-43%
Lamar County: McDaniel 58%-39%
Lauderdale County: Cochran 56%-44%
Rankin County: Cochran 50%-49%
Rankin county will be particularly interesting since it was split almost 50-50. Maybe it’ll swing for somebody decisively this time.

There are ‘anomalies’ with boxes from the Rowan precinct in Hattiesburg. Lots more votes in that precinct this go around. Way lots more. That’s one of the problem boxes in the mayoral fraud case as well.

No watchers here? I thought both the SOS of Mississippi and McDaniel's camp were going to keep an eye on things.

No, this is the ballot boxes themselves.
I’m not sure there are poll watchers everywhere. That particular precinct went ~92% for Dupree in that first mayoral contest.
Not sure what poll watchers could really accomplish someplace like that.
Do a search on the kingfish site for ‘dupree’ and read the entry from June of last year. Tells you what we’re up against this go around.
I read that, too. I think TEA Party Patriots might be sending watchers, not sure.
The lefty sites are all in a dither about it, though.
Thank you for those numbers. I have been looking online for some figures and haven’t found any. Not that I’m from MS, but I’d sure like to see Cochran and his dirty tricks thrown out.

Here’s a snippet from what deport posted previously, taken from the MS SoS site. Based on the 3rd bullet below, anyone who was registered to vote in the primary can vote in the runoff, but no crossover voting. So, if I’m reading this correctly, if a Dim was not registered to vote in the primary and/or voted for a Dim in the primary, they cannot vote today (barring voter fraud, of course).
If there is a Primary Runoff Election:
• The 2014 Primary Runoff Election will be held on June 24, 2014 (Miss. Code Ann §23-15-305)
• Polls are open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
• Citizens must have been registered for the June 3, 2014 Primary Election to be eligible to vote in the June 24, 2014 Primary Runoff Election.
• If an eligible voter did not participate in the June 3rd Primary Election, the voter may vote in either the Democratic or Republican Primary Runoff.
• The State of Mississippi does not allow “crossover” voting. Meaning, if a voter cast a ballot in the Democratic Primary, he/she must cast a ballot in the Democratic Primary Runoff. If a voter cast a ballot in the Republican Primary, he/she must cast a ballot in the Republican Primary Runoff. (Miss. Code Ann §23-15-575)
• Uniformed and Overseas ballots have been transmitted in accordance with State and Federal law.

If you voted in the Democratic Primary (June 3), you cannot vote in this election (Republican Runoff of June 24)
Otherwise, if you voted in the Republican Primary (June 3), or you did not vote on June 3, then you can vote in this primary.
If someone ILLEGALLY votes in this election (someone who voted in the Democratic Primary), there are records of that.
The question would be how to discount those votes... If it were challenged.
