conservativetreehouse ^ | 1/30/2016 | sundance

Posted on 01/29/2016 10:28:45 PM PST by 20yearsofinternet

The personalized letters target individual Iowa voters and identifies them as having failed to vote in prior elections. They are admonished and then encouraged to vote this year. In addition the letters identify the neighbors of the voter, and provides their voting history.

The text reads:

"You are receiving this election notice because of low expected voter turnout in your area. Your individual voting history as well as your neighbors' are public record. Their scores are published below, and many of them will see your score as well. CAUCUS ON MONDAY TO IMPROVE YOUR SCORE and please encourage your neighbors to caucus as well. A follow-up notice may be issued following Monday's caucuses".

In an effort to shame the recipient, the notice also informs the targeted voter their neighbors have also been notified of the recipients poor voting record.

Do you have any idea how you would be posting if Trump pulled some $hit like this?

Look at you trying to defend this crap.

What a “conservative” both you and your candidate are!

If Cruz is willing to pry into Republican’s voting records for his campaign and use public shaming, why on earth would anyone trust this immature politically tone deaf man with the power of the Presidency?

You aren’t helping Cruz here. Like, at all.

Here's a pic of the beautiful letter I received from Donald J. Trump today. Meticulously timed, and includes not only my individual caucus location, but also a Voter Registration Form for all his new voters out there!

Ground Game ... With Class!

Ted the Hall Monitor and Snitch.

Like I said many times before, Ted Cruz got pantsed in the main hallway of High School and didn’t get laid until he was 27.

It may be legal but it is politically stupid. I can’t imagine anyone thinking this was a good idea.

I know you keep trying to put a good face on this ... and I like Cruz ... But this is HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE "marketing." There really is no excuse for it. None. The idea that your neighbors for Godsake are presented with your lousy voting record is right out of Stalinist Russia.

Shark has been jumped.

That’s terrible. Who approved that?

Shame you into voting for...? Another candidate.

It almost seems like a hit piece effort. Dirty trick.

In my state (where no dirty trick hasn’t been tried) one dirty trick was setting a robo dial for 1-4 a.m. using a competitor’s name - making it look like it came from that candidate.

Donald Trump will not miss this opportunity to put the CREEP label on Ted Cruz tomorrow and Monday.

Before he became a Senator only a few people knew he was a creep.

By Monday the entire would will know him as a creep for all of human existence.

They'll do entire chapters in history books about it.

If Cruz is willing to pry into Republican's voting records for his campaign

Have you ever worked on a campaign? A campaign without a huge database of voting records is not a campaign.

Oh my, what were they thinking? Ted accused Carson and Trump of having bad judgment - looks like the judgment he rendered has come back to haunt him.

Matthew 7:2:

For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

I’ve got a ‘No Solicitors’ sign on my door. If a salesman, campaign worker, whomever, goes ahead and rings my bell, our town ordinance says I can press charges for trespassing. But you have to have a sign, thanks to the ICLU lawyers.
This scolding letter isn’t illegal.
It’s just impolitic, nanny-ish, stupid ... just retarded.

Anyone with an ounce of common sense would understand that this kind of nonsense will piss people off in the most visceral way. Terrible optics....if Trump grabs this it’s going to cost Cruz.

This is like the old days when a collection agency would call you about your neighbor and ask you to walk over to his house and shame him into paying his debt.

Trump was right when he called Cruz a “maniac” referring to how he relates to others.

Like I said many times before, Ted Cruz got pantsed in the main hallway of High School and didn’t get laid until he was 27.

So the Trumpkins are going to take the moral high ground here, while they constantly engage in juvenile bullying, insults and ridicule like the above? Yeah, right.

"See my tagline"

Yep, Mark Twain would write this story, a truth so bizarre you think it's fiction.
