Mark Levin aka "The Great One" has always been a great constitutional conservative and great friend of Free Republic. Doesn't post much anymore but has had an account here (holdonnow) from nearly the beginning. He stood up for FR when his good friend Hannity was running us down. Also when O'Reilly accused us of not moderating our forum good enough against racism.
I hate to see our good friend getting trashed on FR. I understand why people are upset with him over his position against Trump, but best advice I can give is if you can't stand him, don't listen. I had to quit listening to Beck several years ago after he went nuts, and now rarely tune in Limbaugh. I click on the Mark Levin Show, maybe once per week, just to see if our old trusted ally is back. Sadly, he's still missing in action.
I pray that Rush and Mark come to their senses pretty soon and realize that the primaries are over and the great constitutional conservative Ted Cruz lost. Badly.
We can't go back and we cannot replace our candidate. It's Trump or Hillary. We have to do all we possibly can to make sure Hillary is defeated! And that starts with not bad-mouthing OUR candidate.
There are no do overs and no crying in politics.
Notice that I said "OUR" candidate. This is not like when the GOPe with their big donor bucks installed one of their own sure-losers as the Republican candidate (McCain, Romney, et al) and then told us to suck it up. Which most of us did, even Levin and Limbaugh, because we knew the damage that Obama would do to our country. And he did. And Hillary's damage will be even more severe because she'll be building on Obama's slide into godless socialism and she'll have an immediate shot at packing the courts with godless liberal activists. These judges will be with us for a lifetime. And their rulings for generations. She'll also grant amnesty and voting rights to millions of illegals and throw open our borders to millions more. And then fling the borders wide open for the Muslims. Yup. Sharia law would be coming to a country near you. And the failing Obamacare? No problem. HillaryCare's single payer system will straighten that right out. And she'll save our planet from "climate change" by killing off all our capitalist industries.
Trump was voted in by we the rebellious grassroots voters who are sick and tired and fed up and said NO MAS to the political ruling class and their open borders donors.
This is a voter rebellion and Trump is OUR champion.
We fully intend to crush Hillary and the uniparty in November and reclaim America for AMERICANS!!
Why did we choose Trump to be our champion:
Secure the borders. Build the wall. Enforce the law. End sanctuary cities. Do whatever is humanly possible in deporting as many illegals as we possibly can and or dry up their prospects by enforcing the law and many of them will leave on their own volition.
Slap a temporary moratorium on Muslim immigration until we can find out what in the hell is going on! Meanwhile, bomb the shit out of ISIS. And take their oil. And find out what's going on in the mosques.
Rebuild the military!
Throw out Obama's illegal/unconstitutional executive orders and executive agreements. Repeal Obamacare!
Get a handle on trade deals and make sure Americans come first!
Cut the taxes, cut the spending, cut the regulations, cut the government; return the powers and functions reserved to the states back to the states per the constitution and the 10th amendment.
And it's not just about the constitution and national security:
End the ridiculous war on coal, gas & oil, bring back manufacturing. Drill, baby, drill; mine, baby, mine; build, baby, build, farm, baby, farm, produce, baby, produce. The Business of America is business.
Strengthen our economy and create a business friendly environment!
Jobs, baby, jobs!!
Set our people free and let them produce and prosper!!
This is the voter rebellion we've all been longing for. Even bigger than the tea party. Pray Levin and Rush join us. We need their full-throated support to ensure the defeat of the corrupt, America-hating, capitalism-hating, God-hating Hillary and the election of OUR candidate. Donald Trump!!

Trump loses, we all lose. This country is over. You are either with America and Trump or you are with Hillary and the Commies. There is no wiggle room, no quarter, no excuses. You are a traitor if you do not support Trump and therefore, Mark Levin will never be someone I listen to again. I briefly heard his show last night because I was in the car and was totally disgusted. As he often says, “GET OFF the AIR You DUMB JERK!!”

Same here. I enjoyed listening to him for years but since Trump won the primary Mark has been, well a sore loser and comes off as a cry sack still stuck on Cruz. I was a Cruz supporter from the start but when he lost, it’s over. Move on and support Trump or Hillary and that is not a hard choice. Trump has his flaws and may turn out to be a disaster, MAY BE A DISASTER. Hillary will for sure be a train wreck for the country.
I’ve just turned Mark off at this point and have went from listening to Rush daily to maybe a couple of times a week. Neither behaved this way toward the Republican candidates were McCain or Romney and they were a far worse choice than Trump, McStain on humanity being a traitorous SOB at all levels of his life.
Levin just needs to stop already with this beating a dead horse, we get it you hate Trump, loved Cruz and think anyone who votes for Trump is a leftist. But who here is actively working to get a true leftist elected? Look in the mirror Levin!
I don’t mean any disrespect, Jim, but if any one of us said on this Board the things that Levin says on the air about Trump or those who support Trump, you wouldn’t allow us to be members of the Board any longer. Isn’t the goal to keep Hillary out of the White House? You’d never know it to listen to Levin — it’s almost as though he’s rooting for the dems. And, he has not only attacked Trump with a great deal of disdain and scorn, sometimes I think even hatred, but those of us who support him, as well. We’ve been called names, just as Trump has been called names.
I don’t listen to Levin or Beck anymore either.

Like him, I supported Ted Cruz. Unlike him, I was able to eventually get over the fact that Cruz lost.
Is Trump a perfect conservative? Heck no, but he's a million times better than Hillary Clinton, and the Cruz brand of conservatism simply isn't selling at this time. Levin should understand that you can't make the perfect the enemy of the good!

Jim, I think Rush is pretty much on board the Trump train now. Maybe reluctantly, but he has definitely stated he much prefers El Trumpbo over the hag.
Levin, though he may vote Trump, still spends much time and effort to tear him down. His previously friendly attitude towards Trump ended the day that Trump and Cruz went (inevitably) to war during the primary. His online publication, the Conservative Review, is as anti-Trump as the NY Times. As talkers go, Beck (whom I’ve always thought was an idiot and lightweight), Medved and Levin are un-listenable these days. So are the two morons who do the overnight radio talk show called Red Eye.
On the positive side. Laura Ingraham, Lars Larsen, Howie Carr, Savage, Mike Gallagher, Larry Elder, and many others have supported Trump from the beginning. And folks like Hewitt, Bill Bennett, and all my local talkers in Seattle have come around to the obvious need to elect Trump. Even a couple of the National Review NEVERTRUMPERS have backed off that pledge.
This country is on the verge of becoming a Euro-Socialist sh*thole, and Obama is hitting the gas pedal hard while the GOPe-led congress can’t even locate the emergency brake.
So to Mr. Levin, I say this: Electing Trump is the most important vote at least since 1980, maybe ever, in your lifetime. Trump treated Rick Perry and Rand Paul and Marco just as rough as he treated Lyin Ted, yet they have all endorsed him. Time to man-up, and wipe the dust off your britches.
Trump has the most conservative platform policies of any president since Calvin Coolidge and Hillary is Obama on Steroids. It is that simple.

Hillary cannot be POTUS. The only alternative is Trump. Sure, voters can choose “none of the above,” but that isn’t an option for the Electoral College. They have to make a choice. Period. It’s Hillary or Trump. Those are the facts.
I’m not a fan of Trump, but I am an enemy of Hillary. So I will partner with Russia to defeat Germany ... every day of the week and twice on Sunday.
I think Mark will get there too. It’s just taking him longer than most because he has invested more than most in the cause of conservatism. I think he’s a bit shell-shocked this election season. I know I am.
He has an analytical mind. He’ll weigh the evidence and conclude that Hillary must be stopped. Levin can influence a Trump presidency by doing what he has faithfully done all of his career ... holding people accountable and telling the truth.

Mark Levin has been very nasty and demeaning for months to anyone who does not support his position on Trump. As recently as only a couple days ago. I can only stand his show for about 5 minutes at a time since he went off the rails in January with his slavish support of Ted Cruz.
Regardless of issues he owes all his Trump supporting listeners an apology for the insults directed at THEM and not just Trump. THAT is a disgrace. Far more than any post on FR. Of course “The Great One” will NEVER acknowledge his personal faults here.
