As a Catholic, I have thought for a long time, that the reason the church opposed birth control was that 2000 years ago, Catholicism was very much a minority. The leaders wanted their fellows to increase and multiply, to increase the overall number of Catholics and make it more difficult for political regimes to oppress the faithful.
Also, more people to provide support for the clergy.
My wife and I were in Europe earlier this summer. Almost anyone can go to the doctor, complain about stress or any other symptom and explain that a wee at the spa would do wonders for them. The doctor writes the prescription, the worker goes to the spa and the government pays.
I’m surprised they didn’t find 100% with mental problems. The other 58% aren’t paying attention or are getting their weeks at the spa for non-mental health related issues.
Hate to be picky about the math, but you need to add the total abortions, 324k and the non-abortion services, 11.8k and then divide the non-abortion services by the total services provided: 11.8k divided by 335.8k. Results are slightly worse than reported in the story.
Think of all the jobs businesses could create if they didn’t have to pay any federal taxes. I’m all for this, although I sold my GE stock when they were doing business with Iran.
He’s my elected rep, although he has never represented me. I sent him a nice note calling him a coward. It won’t do any good though. Another poster boy for term limits.
Dems argue that there is no voter fraud, but the rules (when they exist at all) make it virtually impossible to discover fraud. Same day registration, friend/acquaintance/union thug affirming you are who you say you are, etc. lend themselves to fraudulent voting.
Voter id, absentee ballots must be notarized, cleaning up the voter rolls, etc. are common sense requirements to insure a fair vote. The reason the Dems don't want a fair vote, is they know they will lose every time.
Barak should just talk to his buddies, Ayers and Dohrn, I’m sure they’d be willing to get back into the bombing business, especially if the target’s right.

Al Gore has been lying all these years about global warming, why wouldn’t he lie about this. I don’t trust him as far as I could throw him...which given his corpulence, wouldn’t be very far.
