Should the grand jury have been transparent or secretive --- concerning the evidence presented by the district attorney, etcetera? Once again, we have a Travis County grand jury indicting yet another high-profile Republican. One was Tom Delay (then House Majority Leader from 2003 to 2005) and now presidential aspirant Rick Perry, governor of Texas. The evidence that is presented is under the discretion of the district/prosecuting attorney. This attorney has strong control over the process and the room itself, and there is no one present to provide counter argument(s), and, finally, there is no judge present. If you are a...

Secondly, should a special prosecutor be appointed by the governor of Missouri to look into the shooting of Michael Brown?: If the Missouri prosecutor (who might be the head of the investigation probing the shooting of Michael Brown) has a mother, father, brother, uncle and cousin who all worked for the St. Louis police department (Ferguson, Missouri is a suburb of St. Louis, Mo.) - his father was reported to have been killed and the suspect was a black individual - should he be replaced by a special prosecutor appointed by the governor of Missouri (Jay Nixon)? Third, where is...

Republicans on K street are helping members of their party shift their stance on gay rights issues. Kathryn Lehman, a top GOP lobbyist and partner at Holland and Knight carries a list of 40 to 50 Republican offices in the House and Senate she visits on behalf of Freedom to Marry, a group that backs same-sex marriage. "The issue is losing its toxicity from a Republican perspective," she said, mentioning that the list was a fraction of that size when she first took on Freedom to Marry as a client in 2011. Lehman... helped to write the Defense of Marriage...

...One of the mysteries of Election 2016 is whether the Democratic nominee can keep the "Obama coalition" of liberals, young adults, and minorities together. After all, its a fact of political life that the Republican nominee will crush the Democrat among white voters. Or is it? ...

Pew Research poll also shows Israel as staunchly pro-U.S. and most supportive of drones and surveillance in the fight against terrorists. The fact that Isrealis are one of the most staunchly pro-American people in thw world is not new. But that their confidence in Barack Obama's ability to handle world affairs climbed dramatically to reach an all-time high? ...

We know this is a planned invasion... But Boehner (Boner) has beat the drum of 'Obama does not uphold or enforce the law." Hint hint: Obama really, truly doesn't... But... The William Wilberforce Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act Of 2008 will either be "upheld" and "enforced" by Obama - or it won't. Under it, certain children under this Act are placed under the care of the Dept of Health and Human Services, are given the least restrictive environment, are given an attorney and can plead their case before a judge to stay in the U.S. And GWB signed this into...

Longer question, as space here now permits: But before that... The SCOTUS ruling was not based upon a/any contraceptive(s) either killing a fertilized egg or stopping its fertilization, but rather was based upon a closely held company being able to deny some benefits under religious objections. Question: If the owners of a closely held company have a religious objection to infertility treatments (some or all), as they may say that unwanted embryos are destroyed in infertility treatments, and thus they will deny this benefit, would the denial of this benefit hold up under the Hobby Lobby ruling? What about vasectomies?...

  • Tuam babies: how a small field in Ireland held big secret

Tucked away between houses on an estate in the Republic of Ireland is a small field that many believe, until recently, had a big secret. Beneath a grotto of the Virgin Mary, lie flowers and teddy bears by well-wishers in memory of the children of unmarried mothers, described at the time as "fallen women." It is believed nearly 800 children are buried in the grounds of what was once a mother and baby home run by nuns in Tuam, County Galway. A child died nearly every two weeks between the mid 1920's and 60's. After world-wide publicity, the Irish government...

Move over Newspeak: now here is Newlogic: A.) The 796 children of the St Mary's (Bon Secours) Mother and Baby Home in Tuam, Co, Galway, Ireland being-buried-in-a-septic-tank-story has been "debunked." Therefore, that means that the 796 missing children are (as a result) no longer missing! Problem is... B.) One proves the other? C.) They have been found? D.) If so, where are they? . A supposed positive for the former (A) is not tantamount to a positive for the latter three (C-D). They are still missing. Ah, but lets make others prove that they aren't missing, that they weren't baptized,...

The names, ages, and causes of death of all 796 children who died at St. Mary's Home ... in Tuam, Co. Galway from 1925 to 1960 have been published in full, below. The list is long, and reading it is a horrifying heartbreaking experience - though nowhere near as horrifying as the short lives of the children who died, or as heartbreaking as the sheer number of lost little lives. When she began her research, Catherine Corless ... the local historian who set out to uncover the truth about the bones buried at the site of the former Mother and...

1.) Fight for the rights of the unborn. 2.) Think no less of a baby/infant/child brought to you without any parent, without any Godparents, as you do not know the future. Which to you is better: baptizing a baby brought to you by good RC parents, that God knows will grow up to deny your faith and be a hell-raiser, or one that asas no one there with him/her or born out ofof wedlock to lapsed parents that God knows will turn out to be righteous?. Who cares about then and there? God told Samuel that He can see what no...

1.) An infant is baptized, is raised by believing parents and later when older turns from the faith. 2.) An infant is baptized, has no believing parents to be raised by, and when older doesn't turn from the faith. Given that the antithesis exists for 1 & 2, wouldn't it be prudent for the priest to baptize the fortunate infant as well as the unfortunate, as either could remain faithful when older, show perseverance against high odds, and no priest knows the future - only God Almighty? Given that only God knows the future, perhaps withholding baptism isn't an option...

1.) First it was the IRS and their computer crashing and erasing ALL of Lois Lerner's emails. Wow! Who would have thought that something like that could happen. ALL, not ONE was left. Amazing.... 2.) And this info is dumped to the MSM on a Friday, too. What are the odds of that? And now she falls, hits her head and can't remember a thing. /Sarcasm. Oh, and BTW, Lois Lerner found out about the IRS computer crash on television too. /More Sarcasm.

Bowe Bergdahl: a Prisoner of WAR, a deserter taken hostage by the Taliban or an enemy combatant? If it isn't the first of the three rather the second, why then are all cable news outlets describing this as a prisoner swap? Why aren't they calling this an enemy combatant ( Taliban 5)/deserter or a EC/deserter swap? If Bowe Bergdahl deserted, then would he have then as well forsake the military, and thus his uniform? Would Bowe Bergdahl then be an enemy combatant?

... what will the new narrative from the MSM be? Before the first GOP primaries this year, we heard from the MSM the long-held narrative: A.) "There is a huge war within the GOP. The GOP needs to do something with these "extremists" (Tea Party)!" Then when Boehner and some others won their primaries, the MSM narrative quickly shifted (as in goal-posts): B.) "The GOP has absorbed the Tea Party!" Now with Eric Cantor losing to David Brat (and that was a huge loss), the MSM won't go back on their narrative, even though they logically would have to admit...

I believe that the show "19 Kids and Counting" is a very wholesome show, and more than worthy of watching. This said, after the book, "Growing Up Duggar" came out, and after perusing it, I do believe that parts that talk abut hair lengths, clothing choices, etc, do perhaps need some discussion, given that there are some scriptural references stated within the book. And in reply: 1.) 1 Peter 3: 3-13 says: "Whose adorning let it no be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold or of putting on of apparel. But let it be...

Susan Rice, United States National Security Advisor under the Obama administration, said that Bowe Bergdahl 'served the United States with honor and distinction.' Sounds like praise to me. But Chuck Hagel, who said very recently that Americans should not pre-judge Bowe Bergdahl, seems to take one line with - I guess "regular" Americans - and another with Susan Rice. Hmmm... Should Hagel and Rice both say that Bowe Bergdahl should be neither judged nor praised until all the facts are in? Funny how some WH aides can accuse Bergdahl's fellow soldiers of 'swift boating,' but won't tell people to not...
