  • Rush: "77% of Missourians forgive Akin; only trails by one (1) Point" (Vanity)

    Rush Limbaugh Radio: 8-31-12 | September 1, 2012 | pistolpackinpapa
Those of you who listened to Rush yesterday already know this, but: Just as he was coming upon a commercial break, at one point in the broadcast, he closed out with this statement: "Latest poll shows 77 percent of Missourians forgive Todd Akin. He trails McCaskill by only one point. Hmmmmmmm.........."
  • Missourians recanting; Todd Akin just might win. (Vanity)

One of my Missouri friends called me back last evening and he has recanted. He is still pissed at Akin but, he's going to vote for him because he can't stand McCaskill. The surprising part was this: He said that everybody he has talked to, about this, within the past couple of days, feels just like he does. Akin may be semi-brain dead, but they cannot and will NOT vote for McCaskill. There are 73 days before Election Day (counting today). I have a feeling than when a lot of people, who are angry at Akin now, walk into that...
  • Did we dodge a bullet in Presidential Race? Santorum/Akin Ilk (Vanity)

There was a time, this year, when I was rooting for Rick Santorum during the GOP Primary season. Then, he began to make statements that made me nervous. (Most of them, I worked hard at forgetting.) Since this "Todd Aikin thing", I've begun to wonder if we didn't doge a bullet by not nominating Santorum, who for all practical purposes, came in Second Place. I feared that if he got the nomination he would have a "Macaca/Legitimate rape" moment. To me, he and Aikin seem to be of the same ilk. Dunno.....just thinking out loud. Wonder if we didn't dodge...
  • No Ron Paul Revolution at Convention

    Politico ^ | August 23, 2012 | James Hohmann
The Republican establishment has quelled the Ron Paul Revolution, at least for 2012. To dissuade Paul supporters from disrupting this week’s pomp and circumstance, the establishment made significant concessions on the platform to the Paul folks even before the group convened. The 77-year-old, who retires from Congress at the end of this year, will speak Sunday at a rally being organized by his campaign at the University of South Florida Sun Dome. A big part of it will be to celebrate how much they’ve accomplished this cycle, even if they lost the nomination fight. Then the Texan will stick around...
  • MO Senate Race: Why Not a Write-in Candidate? It worked in Alaska

    August 23, 2012 | pistolpackinpapa
Well, this is a "Hail Mary" pass, but does anyone think it would be possible to pit a write-in candidate against McCaskill in the MO Senate race? It worked for Lisa Murkowski in Alaska 2 years ago. I'm thinking that with all the publicity the Todd Akin statement has brought to this race, it might work. Maybe Sarah Steel with strong support from Sarah Palin? I dunno. I don't really care who it is as long as they are Conservative. I know some folks on here think Sarah Steel in not Conservative "enough". But, at least she's not McCaskill. Anyhow,...
  • Trump Fires Back at Obama Campaign Smear

Donald Trump blasted President Barack Obama’s senior adviser Robert Gibbs Sunday as “vicious and hateful” after the former press secretary called Trump a “right-wing nut job” on Fox News. Trump told Newsmax. “I built a net worth in excess of $8 billion, built a tremendous company, and have employed tens of thousands of people. I hardly see where I qualify under his definition.” He recently declined an offer to deliver a prime-time speech at the Republican National Convention, but he has been promising to deliver a big “surprise” at the convention in Tampa, Fla., which begins on Aug. 27. “The...
  • Missouri GOP Senate Candidate should withdraw from Race Now (Vanity)

Congressman Todd Aikin, the GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate from Missouri should withdraw from the Missouri Senate Race immediately over his stupid statement he made today re: "legitimate rape". To not do so, will assure six more years for Claire McKaskill in the U.S. Senate. What he said, in essence, when asked about abortion, was that a "legitimate rape" rarely causes pregnancy. Now, that comment is going viral over the internet. I witnessed, first-hand, in 1990 how a "rape gaffe" by GOP candidate for Governor of Texas, Clayton Williams, who had a wide lead in the polls at the...
  • Time for "Democrats for Romney"

    New York Post ^ | August 17, 2012 | JERRY DELLA FEMINA
Almost all of my friends are Democrats; all of them voted for Barack Obama in 2008. Ask them these days, as I have, if they plan to vote for Obama this November, and they’ll give you an “Oh shucks” sad smile, look down, look back up with guilty eyes and say “I’m disappointed.” I’m talking about a good number of intelligent, caring, middle-class Democrats who are a soft nudge away from casting their vote for Romney. All they need to know is that they’re not alone. In 1980, Carter treated Reagan as a ridiculous figure who, among other things, was...
  • Can stuff like this cut into Obama's Latino Vote? (Vanity)

    NBC News ^ | August 15, 2012 | pistolpackinpapa
It's common knowledge that there is much distrust and dislike between the Latino and Black communities; for whatever reasons. (For one thing, some Blacks feel like Latinos come here and cut into their Entitlements.) Now, I read an article today that says 7 Latino Elementary School students, in Camden, New Jersey, won a $500,000 lawsuit against a School District and a Black school vice principal. There is already "discord" among Blacks and Latinos in Camden (per the article). The reason for the lawsuit: A Latino child spilled water, and for punishment, 15 Latino kids had to eat off of tray...
  • Does Romney Camp Have an October Surprise? (Vanity)

The Obama campaign has spent millions of dollars on ads trying to destroy Mitt Romney; the latest being the "Romney Killed My Wife" ad. The "Tax Return thing" with Harry Reid, even using the Senate floor and his office for political purposes, is another of the latest. Through all of this, the Romney camp has been somewhat impotent in responding. The Chicago Thug Campaign Brigade is winning right now. Negativity does work. Which begs to question.... Could the Romney camp have an October Surprise, or even an earlier "surpise", that will be extremely damaging to Obama's reelection chances? Romney proved...
  • Offensive Billboard Compares Obama to Aurora Shooter

An electronic billboard in Idaho comparing President Barack Obama to alleged mass murderer James Holmes is causing a firestorm of controversy. The billboard links the President’s policies to the results of a rampage that the 24-year-old Holmes is accused of engaging in last week in which he killed 12 people and injured scores more. The billboard shows images of both Holmes and Obama. Under Holmes’ picture, the billboard notes, ‘Kills 12 in movie theater with assault rifle – everyone freaks out.” Under Obama’s image, the billboard reads, “kills thousands with his foreign policy – wins Nobel Peace Prize.” The billboard...

The Democrats have a Jewish problem, and his name is Barack Obama. Reluctantly, many Jews, loyal Democrats by birth and tradition, have concluded that he’s not The One they thought he was. With even greater reluctance, the White House has concluded that their Jewish problem is real, growing, and they better do something about it. Mitt Romney’s dramatic declaration Sunday in Jerusalem that preventing Iran from building a nuclear weapon is America’s “highest national security priority” and military force should not be excluded, and that he regards Jerusalem as the true capital of Israel, puts in stark relief the difference...
  • Rasmussen: Romney has same lead, same day that Obama had in '08

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama led his Republican rival John McCain by 49 percent to 44 in a Rasmussen Reports daily tracking poll released on July 27, 2008. Fast forward four years and the GOP's Mitt Romney is holding the exact same lead on the exact same day in the exact same poll, Business Insider points out. Romney’s five-point lead is the largest by either candidate in just over a month and the numbers closely mirror the 49 to 43 percent advantage Romney has on who voters trust more to handle the economy. Just 31 percent of likely voters think...
  • Polling FReepers: Will Virgil Goode Cost Romney the Election? (Vanity)

Anyone who visits this website, with any amount of frequency, has seen Posts and comments re: the candidacy of Virgil Goode for President on the Constitution Party ticket. I agree that the Constitution Party is AWESOME!!!! I wish they were a Major Party. After 2012, I'd love to see a movement, by Conservatives, to make that their "Party of choice". But, I don't see that happening before November 6, 2012. Now, my poll question for ALL FReepers is this: Do you think that Virgil Goode will pull enough votes from Romney in the Battleground States such as FL, VA, OH,...

President Obama went to Colorado to comfort the families of the victims in the Theater massacre near Aurora, CO. That's fine. I'm sure the fact that Colorado is a vital swing State this year had nothing to do with his decision. It's also been reported that Prez dude, reached out and comforted the Paterno family yesterday. Really? Could it be because Papa Joe's son, Jay Paterno is a BIG Obama supporter? Did he reach out to the victims of child-rape by Coach Sandusky that was covered up by the University? Oh, and by-the-way, when will he be arriving in Texas...
  • Romney Team Must Exploit Obama's "Real" Felony (Vanity)

OK, the loud mouth, female, Obama supporter Stephanie Cutter, who has the IQ of a can of Spam, dared to insinuate that Mitt Romney committed a "felony" with his "Leave of Absence" from Bain Capital. You've all heard the story. It's caused quite a stir. Now, it's time for the Romney camp to act and act quickly. Romney, via ads in every battleground state, needs to say: "Mr President, by your own admission, in one of your books that you wrote, you confessed that you used Cocaine in the past. Cocaine use is a felony Mr. President. Selling Cocaine is...

Mitt Romney showed guts today when he spoke to the NAACP and, as Roger Simon noted at Politico, neither groveled nor pandered to a hostile African-American audience. He may show even more nerve soon naming his running mate well in advance of the Republican National Convention. That’s the way Reuters is interpreting a comment made yesterday at an appearance in Colorado when the GOP candidate was asked whether he would name the person who will fill out his ticket before such announcements are normally made. Rather than shoot down the suggestion or not answer, Romney simply said he hadn’t decided....
  • Obama loses ground to Romney in key measures of poll

    The Washington Times ^ | July 9, 2012 | Stephen Dinan
Mitt Romney continues to hold a whisker-thin 1-percentage-point lead over President Obama in a head-to-head election match-up, but the former Massachusetts governor is eating into the president’s air of inevitability, according to the latest The Washington Times poll. The poll found Mr. Romney leading 43 percent to 42 percent — about the same margin as the poll in May, but Mr. Obama slipped on several key measures, including fewer voters who say they expect him to win, and fewer who say they are voting for him because he’s the best candidate. “The health care issue, at least at the moment,...

HUNTSVILLE, Utah — A parade entry portraying President Barack Obama and using the term “Obamanation” has made some angry, and others upset at the negative attention. It happened in the city’s annual Fourth of July parade. The float showed a person dressed as President Obama with one sign that read “Huntsville Welcomes Obama’s Farewell Tour?” On the back, another sign said, “Ask about our assault gun plan. Call Eric Holder.” On one side of the issue, people are saying the float was disrespectful and had no place in a patriotic parade. The other side says it was all in good...
  • Dem Congressman: People who don't want to pay ObamaCare Tax are "Freeloaders" (Vanity)

Democrat Congressman Xavier Becerra, of California, was on "FOX News Sunday" today. He said, three (3) times, that people who did not want to pay the ObamaCare Tax are "Freeloaders". The Romney Campaign needs to make campaign ads of this: "If you don't like ObamaCare, Democrats think you're a freeloader". Then show the clip from today's program.
