I commented on that in post #560. No takers. It does feel like Graham played us. He looked positively jubilant after Flake announced he was holding his vote hostage. What happened to that warning he gave to repubs not to fall for the sham? I don’t get it.
Wow, what a story. It gave me chills. Such a terrible experience for you, just awful. I’m glad you somehow kept your wits about you and escaped from whatever hell that monster had planned for you.
If I was young and out and about again, I would drink only bottled beer and wine coolers, and I wouldn’t let it out of my sight.
Thanks for taking the time to share your nightmare. God bless.
And wth is up with Lindsey acting like he just hit the lottery after Flake’s announcement? He went a from a no-nonsense roaring lion of a man yesterday to a bumbling, naive fool today.
I hate CVS sometimes. Last year, I had a large order ($120) of misc items in my cart. I spend hours planning a trip there, matching coupons with sales. I sure miss the BOGOs. The BOGO 1/2 off just don't have the same level of excitement.
I loaded all my items on the counter. One of my coupons had expired just the week before. It was one of those Extra Bucks. It was for $7. I had earned that for all my shopping in their beauty department. It's a quarterly thing. The more you spend, the more you earn.
The cashier was going to let it go, but she was new and couldn't figure out how to bypass the system and put the coupon into the system. At the next register, an overzealous manager (probably 21 years old), overheard what was going on. He told me that the coupon had expired.
I politely explained to him that it was only a week, I've been shopping there for over 40 years, I had earned it, I had earned it, on and on. This idiot wouldn't budge.
I hated to do this to the poor cashier, but I told them to cancel the order. The amount of money I spend in that store, not to even mention all of my family's prescriptions, is quite substantial.
I told myself that I wasn't going back, but I'd only be spiting myself, and truth be told, the coupon had expired. That guy (kid) was a jerk. He treats me like a queen now, lol. I do the majority of my shopping now at Amazon. Sorry so long; thanks for reading.
Listening to these “kids” demand, threaten (with their votes), is really hard to take. They sure make it hard to feel sympathy for these brats. Most of them come right out and say they don’t want our prayers and good thoughts. Ugh.
