A Ruger 22/45 Mk III Target model followed me home from the gunshow last weekend and with all the posts about firearms lately, I thought a range report was in order. I picked this up last month and added the Lyman sight. It's a post '64 .30 - 30, but old enough that it was drilled for the sight. I'm going to sight it in today, although I still have to tap out the buckhorn and get a wedge to fill the dovetail. I was supposed to go bowhunting for hogs this fall, but job related stuff put the kibosh on that. It looks like I'll have to wait until this spring for my bacon fix. Who's going hunting? A friend sent me a link to this site and I liked what I saw. The site is dedicated primarily to female shooters, but the articles are well written and worthy of anyone's time. Kathy Jackson deals primarily with new shooters and people new to the idea that they might one day have to use deadly force to protect themself or their family. Although I've been around this stuff for a long time, I read many of the articles and even found a couple of things I didn't know on some of the n00b pages. It's definitely worth your time....
