<p>Santa Claus has been “suspended” at one New Jersey school, after some parents complained it was religious discrimination.  Picture day with Santa is a long-standing tradition at Calabro Elementary School.  But this year, one parent, who is Jewish, pointed out other traditions weren’t being represented, reports CBS 2’s Kathryn Brown.</p>

The Republican Jewish Coalition will host a candidate forum on Wednesday. N.J. Gov. Chris Christie will give the keynote speech and all of the major contenders are reportedly confirmed to attend, but one: Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas. “Ron would be happy to speak to their group, but he was not invited,” spokesman Jesse Benton told Capital Hill, via email. “We called to ask if he could speak, and they said he was not welcome.”

On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Republican Jewish Coalition will host a presidential-candidates forum featuring Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. British MP Mike Freer was threatened by 'peaceful' Muslims on Friday as he tried to meet constituents in a North Finchley mosque. Mr Freer said about 12 people forced their way inside, with one of them calling him a "Jewish homosexual pig". The trouble began after messages on the Muslims Against Crusades website urged supporters to target him, he said. Spain’s Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez presented a new policy for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict on Saturday, declaring Israel as the homeland of the Jews for the first time and saying that the issue of Palestinian refugees should be solved in such a way that it does not compromise Israel’s current demographic makeup of a Jewish majority.
