An Ohio policeman is recovering from an attack and injuries inflicted by a motorist and his brother. The attack was captured on the police car’s dash camera. Sgt. Former state Rep. Jeffrey Perry has been hired to become a Barnstable County "special sheriff" after his failed bid to capture the congressional seat for Cape Cod, the Herald has learned. T. PETERSBURG - Three law enforcement officers were shot this morning – a U.S. Marshal and two St. Petersburg police officers – in the 3700 block of 28th Avenue South, police said. A suspected gunman is barricaded in a home at 3726 28th St. S., and police are trying to negotiate with his family members. He is still shooting at police, officers said. One of the injured officers had been in the home as well, but an armored vehicle knocked down the door and the officer was evacuated. That officer has been taken to Bayfront Medical Center.

TAMPA - The man shot by deputies after he fired on them and held his wife at gunpoint died at St. Joseph's Hospital this morning. Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies shot Osmar Sebasco, 39, after he fired several rounds at them late Saturday night, according to the sheriff's office. He died at 10 a.m. at the hospital. Sebasco's wife, Michele, and the three deputies weren't hurt, nor was the couple's 2-year-old daughter, who was asleep in a bedroom through the incident.

Two Florida police officers died following a shootout with a murder suspect Thursday in Miami, authorities said.

Police were responding to a report that a Los Angeles Unified School District police officer was wounded at a shooting near El Camino Real High School in Woodland Hills. The shooting occurred around 11:45 a.m. on the campus at Valley Circle and Burbank boulevards.
