Gov. Rick Perry sounded some familiar themes in a speech today at the National Council of La Raza conference in San Antonio. Some of the governor's remarks were aimed at appealing to nearly 2,000 audience members who sat waiting to hear about his positions on immigration reform, Arizona's controversial law and raising the quality of life for Latinos. After hitting his typical points by touting job creation and the state's economic standing, Perry briefly touched on the new Arizona law that has been criticized by some who say it encourages racial profiling and discrimination. He said the law "may be...

Many Mexican immigrants, legal or otherwise, see themselves as part of a process of retaking the United States that once was a part of Mexico. Recent Mexican law permits dual citizenship which tacitly supports this notion. This objective is aptly described by Jose Ramos, anchorman since 1986 on Noticieros, a Miami news program on Univision cable network, also seen in Mexico and 13 other Latin-American countries.

http://www.kdvr.com/news/kdvr-theives-free-victim-arrested-txt,0,231586.story To any attorneys out there: What is the citizens’ responsibility/authority to respond to a foreign invasion like 1776 or 1812, or a Red Dawn scenario? Does the govt just want us to sit in our houses and hide, or do we get to actively defend our country, state, city, neighborhood, house, family, selves? The govt (of, by, for us) refuses to do what they are charged with doing by us. We cannot charge someone to do for us that which we don’t have the authority to do for ourselves. Ipso facto, we should be able to retake that authority...

In cooperation with Mexico, Homeland Security has recently resumed a program to ship apprehended illegal Mexican aliens back to Mexico. The program called the Mexican Interior Repatriation Program (MIRP) was started by the Bush administration in 2004. The MIRP was started as a response to the growing flow of illegal Mexican aliens pouring over the southern border. Of course we are paying for these “repatriations” ($71 million) but so far we have kicked out about 92,000 illegals and shipped them back to Mexico City. Reconquista? Since the 1970s LaRaza, an international Marxist group, whose name means “the race” in Spanish,...

My my... more evidence bubbles to the surface that the US-Mexican border wars is about more than the civil rights of illegal immigrants... or the anticipated built in voter bloc for desperate Dems. Today brings good news that the Mexican police are actively working to thwart Hezbollah's attempt to gain a foothold there. A survelliance operation focused on Hezbollah leader, Jameel Nasr, resulted in his arrest at his Tijuana home. Nasr employed Mexican nationals with family ties to Lebanon for his Hezbollah/Mexico network. According to the report, Mexican police mounted a surveillance operation on the group's leader, Jameel Nasr, who...

Phoenix, Arizona, May 29, 2010. A peaceful protest against Arizona’s new immigration law, SB 1070. Here’s what the MSM told you the rally was about, as reported by the Arizona Republic: Hoping to turn their frustration and anger into action, tens of thousands of protesters against Arizona’s new immigration law marched on the state Capitol Saturday and urged the nation’s leaders to hear their pleas. “We must stand together for justice, opportunity and peace,” said U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor, D-Ariz., at the mid-afternoon culmination of what was a peaceful demonstration on the Capitol grounds. “What we need in the United...

a Dakota County jury found De Jesus Melisio-Camacho, 30, guilty of murdering 3-year-old Evelyn Verdugo Paniagua in her family's South Sioux City home. The jury recommended the illegal alien be executed for his crime. A three judge panel will decide whether or not the state will accept the recommendation. Through their consulate office in Omaha, the Mexican government filed a petition to delay the trial indefinitely. However, Judge William Binkard rejected the request and the trial began on Monday. The toddler’s parents were present throughout the week’s proceedings, but left the courtroom in tears, several times, when the details of...

The southern border of the USA is no longer something that we can ignore or use as a political tool. Successive presidents have failed to control this border for one reason or another, but the escalation of drug cartel violence on the southern side of the border is making the issue of illegal immigration almost an afterthought. It seems that if something doesn't change, we could be looking at an all-out war with Mexican drug cartels. Police Chief Jeff Kirkham of the border town Nogales, Arizona, told Tucson Channel 9 (ABC) news that he has received threats that the Mexican...

El Paso, TX -- El Paso Police officials say stray gunfire from a deadly attack in Juarez may have been the cause of the City Hall building in Downtown El Paso being hit by seven gunshots at about 5 p.m. Tuesday. One of those gunshots pierced through a ninth floor window of the office of Assistant City Manager Pat Adauto. The north and south stucco walls of City Hall were struck by an additional six rounds at varying heights on the walls. No one was injured by any of the bullets. Police said El Paso City Hall does not appear...

Arizona Governor Jan Brewer... who is up for election this November.... filmed her new spot 80 miles from the AZ border in front of new signs erected by the Federal government this month warning visitors that traveling in the desert is not safe because it is a “active drug and human smuggling area” and that visitors may encounter armed vehicles. Says Brewer:"Two weeks ago I met with President Obama, he promised that we would get word from his administration on what he would do to secure the border, well, we finally got the message…these signs…These signs warning people of danger...

Rage Against the Machine frontman Zack de la Rocha is stepping up his campaign to compel the state of Arizona to repeal its controversial immigration law. In addition to adding Ry Cooder, Nine Inch Nails, and comedian Chris Rock to the growing list of artists who are refusing to perform there as part of The Sound Strike boycott effort, de la Rocha tells Billboard.com that plans are in the works for a series of protest concerts in July. Boasting a population that is 97% Hispanic, more than half foreign born, and 40% illegal, the Los Angeles County, Calif., incorporated city of Maywood has achieved the Reconquista goal. It is now as lawless and chaotic as any place in Mexico. Maywood is a warning to every city and town in America. The Maywood City Council announced this week that after years of radical policies, corruption and scandal, the city was broke and all city employees would be laid off and essential city services contracted out to neighboring cities or to L.A. County government. How did this happen? Until recently,...

The debate about how to make our porous southern border safe and how to deal with millions of illegal aliens in our midst has been dragged into the sunlight by Arizona’s new laws. The vast majority of Arizona voters applauds those laws, yet the Obama administration ignores them as well as the rising tide of American public opinion. Why is that? Could it be the politicians who now rule us need millions of new Democrat voters? No wonder Secretary of State Hillary Clinton threatens to sue Arizona. No wonder Attorney General Eric Holder says not “if” but “when.” Democrat officials...

Mexico sent a lawyer to an Arizona federal court and asked that the state's illegal immigrant law be declared unconstitutional. In the meantime, the Arizona law may find it's way to a Human Rights court. This is unbelievable: "Mexico says its interest in having consistent relations with the United States shouldn't be frustrated by one state. Also unbelievable is word coming out of the U.S. Senate that Obama may be planning an Executive Order to bring mass amnesty to the country. See the letter of 8 Senators to Obama here. Verum Serum says there is also a plan underway to...
