From Sept. 24, 2008, at 6:41 p.m. McCain Suspends Campaign, Shocks Republicans He did what? The sound of jaws hitting the floor reverberated in Washington this afternoon when Republican presidential nominee John McCain announced that he would suspend his campaign and asked that Friday's debate be postponed. Why? Because of the "historic crisis in our financial system," said McCain, who intends to return to Washington tomorrow to participate in Wall Street bailout negotiations on the Hill. In explaining his decision, McCain also referred to 9/11, patriotism, and partisan divisions that have "prevented us from addressing our national challenges." What he...

The number one question not answered by the Nunes memo is whether the FBI and DOJ informed the court that the requested warrant was part of a broader investigation of the Trump campaign. If I were a FISA judge, I would certainly want to know if the reason the FBI wanted the warrant was to spy on the opposition party's Presidential campaign. It is difficult to see how that information could have been concealed from the court, given that the FISA application cited liberally from the GPS dossier and the GPS dossier was about Trump. However, it's apparent that they...

The word Republic has all but disappeared from our political lexicon. It has erroneously been replaced by Democracy. The Founders must be turning over in their graves. They had nothing but contempt for democracy. They sought to, and did, create a constitutional republic, but not before doing their homework. Unlike today's politicians, talking heads, and academics, the Founders had an acute, in-depth, and nuanced understanding of history and political systems. Prior to the 1787 constitutional convention, James Madison undertook a comprehensive study of every known republic in recorded history to ensure that the Founders didn't repeat their mistakes. The Founders...

I have a couple of questions about what isn't in the Memo: 1) The FISA warrant was approved/renewed FOUR different times. Was the same "evidence" brought up in the renewals that was in the original approval or was other info added as time went on? Rep Rafliffe(sp?) was on Fox this morning saying he saw the applications for all four and loosely implied the dossier was the key for all Four. If the Dossier was the main factor in all FOUR then why didn't Memo make that clear. The media is spinning "there was to be more" since it was...

Questions the memo raises or leaves unanswered. We need answers now. 1. Why did the DOJ and FBI want to wiretap Carter Page? 2. The Memo says it obtained one initial warrant targeting Page and three renewals. Presumably those were each for 90 days (but I could be wrong and they could have been shorter). That's a full year of snooping. What was the probable cause for the initial warrant and for each subsequent warrant. 3. For the FBI, Comey signed 3 applications, McCabe signed one. For the DOJ Yates, Boente, and Rosenstein each signed one or more. Why were...

Has anyone heard Dan Bongino tonight who is filling in for Mark Levin? His breakdown of the spying scandal is phenomenal!! He breaks it onto chapters over the entire show. Absolute best explanation I have heard yet. Please do yourself a favor and listen to the whole thing. You won't regret it. He's a former secret service agent. Click here for the podcast replay

I could probably count on one hand the number of times I'd heard of Weinstein before you know what.ff

I don't post here much any more, but there seems to be a gap in the discussions on twitter about this subject from "Last Refuge," "Tom Paine," and "Jim Hoft." Freepers seem to be more clued into some of what I'm about to say. While everyone is focused on the Memo, the Inspector General Report, and Fusion GPS (and general FBI corruption), I think a powerful connecting link to much, perhaps all, rests in two locations: the House vault where they keep the payouts on the sex harassment funds, and the computer files of the Awans. Consider that when news...

Apologies if someone within another thread made note of this but I scoured and did not see anyone mention what I observed after SOTU. As President Trump is shaking hands (Fox feed) he absolutely SLIGHTS Mitch McConell. In fact Mitch tries to interject himself enthusiastically but President Trump glances then looks right over the top of him. Mitch then gets his attention and Oresident Trump refuses to shake his hand. In fact he doesn’t look happy at all during the exchange. I’ve rewatched the Fox SOTU multiple times and I do not think I have this wrong. I’m literally laughing...

I was just listening to Rush Limbaugh, and he just announced that the president Trump intends to release the memo immediately after his State of the Union speech. I guess the Democrats response will might get a little overshadowed.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano is being kept off the air indefinitely amid the controversy over his unverified claims that British intelligence wiretapped Trump Tower at the behest of former President Obama. Fox News did not respond to inquiries about Napolitano’s status Monday. Napolitano was conspicuously missing from the network’s coverage of the confirmation hearings on Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch — an event in which he typically would have played a significant role. He has not been on the air since Thursday.

Obstruction of Justice if true. Could be known within days! One of things the IG was looking into. Which witness interviews did he possibly asked be changed? A FD-302 form is used by FBI agents to "report or summarize the interviews that they conduct" and contains information from the notes taken during the interview by the non-primary agent. It consists of information taken from the subject, rather than details about the subject themselves.

I'm not going to get into specifics but will tell you I'm a season ticket holder for an NFL team in the northeast and just received my renewal for the 2018 season. I have two tickets. The price of my tickets for the upcoming season went down by $500!! Not only did it go down by $500- should i choose to buy the 2018 tickets and go on automatic payment they are guaranteeing the same price for the 2019 season!! The TV ratings has put huge fear into the NFL and they are trying to coax the season ticket holders...

I wonder if these liberals would have their panties in a wad if the immigrants in question were Irish, or German, or Italian. Not bloody likely.--A/D

Done right, home schooling is a very low-cost, personalized educational option, conducted in a safe, non-violent environment. Statistics consistently indicate that home-schooled students excel in higher education and go on to lead functional, productive lives. There are, of course, a number of life’s little inconveniences and impediments that operate against successful home-schooling. First, the parent-child chemistry has to be there. Many parents have told me that it simply would not work for their Matthew or Emily. Home-schooling my own son would have been the ultimate test of my patience. Both parties have to be committed and emotionally in-sync with the...

Don’t look now, but the President and Congressional Republicans are making progress on their promise to repeal and replace Obamacare with a more affordable, flexible, and dynamic health system. This news will likely come as a surprise. As far as the news media is concerned, the failure to pass the American Health Care Act in the Senate means that health care has been a zone of failure for the President. What they have missed is an administration-wide health reform effort, enhanced by congressional action, that will lower costs, increase access, and improve health outcomes. Because this new strategy doesn’t fit...

Remember a month or two ago, when the Democrat party leaders all woke up one morning and started in with that fake news chorus, something to the effect of “Trump is about to fire Mueller, and boy oh boy, if he does, well, then that’s obstruction, we’ll impeach him!”? They were all saying the same thing as if they had received their fake news marching orders from the DNC. This just sounds like a rehashing of that same fake news meme - but a month late. The original strategy was, if they couldn’t actually get Trump on collusion, the next...
