I have some questions for those are are employers or those who are involved in the hiring process. 1. What is your experience with hiring and employing Millennials vs. previous generations? 2. What is your experience with hiring and employing liberals vs. conservatives?

For Protestantism to make much sense, the Church must have, at some point, abandoned the truth and become apostate. Otherwise, Protestantism has no license to exist. But when was this "Great Apostasy"? Protestants offer varying opinions, but none of them hold up to scrutiny. Was it right after the deaths of the Apostles?A view most supported by Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses is that, after the Apostles, the Church quickly fell into apostasy. This would be a massive blow at both God's promise to guard His Church (Joshua 1:5; Matthew 16:18) and all of the doctrine mentioned hereafter. But if this...

Churches being forced to preform gay marriage. Many Gay advocate groups try to assure that Churches will not be forced to preform gay marriages. But while they are saying this, law suits spring up in States that already have gay marriage. Once gay marriage is legal many will use the equal protect laws to force there will and Bible believing Christians on your church. I have always believed that gay marriage is being pushed to try to make them seem normal. To make homosexuality main stream and total accepted but most gay people see the Bible Christianity and many churches...

Eric Bolling of The Five said the other day that we should go on and support Olympians by buying clothing. I was curious what they had as offerings, and stopped by and was almost knocked over at the prices. $55 for a t-shirt????? How can they justify this? I am sure not too many people will be buying them at that price. Would love to see what their sales numbers are with prices that ludicrous.

By now, this story is old news to those involved in the on-going battle to preserve the Second Amendment. For those who are not, here's the story: A national newspaper chain with nearly 100 publications and 1.6 million readers is considering building “state-by-state databases” on concealed weapons permit holders, according to an internal e-mail. The plan, laid out in an email from a top editor at North Carolina-based Civitas Media, could be similar to a controversial project a New York state newspaper carried out in 2012 which included an online map that identified gun owners in two counties by name...

Please help me come up with some anticipated phrases/words/gestures this evil muslim is going to spew at a Amerika next Tuesday. My buddy and I are at work today already betting on what they are going to be. We're both positive "income inequality" will be abused like a red headed stepchild in Walmart. I say the bonus phrase will be "polar vortex". Got any others? It'll be fun (even if watching the lying king is deplorable)!

Will ABC have a story with "50 Ways to Celebrate John Browning's Birthday like they did for Michelle Obama?

I'm sure MLK jr was a great guy and all that, but does anyone else think it's gets a little nauseous to see an endless series of Facebook friends, LinkedIn connections, politicians, and celebrities trying to show how deep and respectful of the man by posting some quote of his all day?

Anyone see this on Fox just now? Oh good lord Pirro just absolutely obliterated the Queen bitch from hell, my TV is still smoking! She just went down the line, point by point and absolutely eviscerated the Beast. Anyone see this, know where I can get a video copy of this so I can post it every place possible? My God that was epic!!

NEWPORT BEACH, CALIF. - For some, the celebration following Monday’s NCAA championship game at the historic Rose Bowl stadium will feel like a wake. For others, death to the Bowl Championship Series will be cause for a celebration. Love it or loathe it, the most unique forum for declaring a champion in major North American sport will be put to rest in the shadow of the San Gabriel mountains following the clash between No. 1 Florida State and No. 2 Auburn. After 16 years of bringing a semblance of structure to determining the champions of big-time college football, a true...

I have over 300 GB of high quality (256 and 320 MP3, and FLAC) digital audio in a hard drive on my home server.About forty feet away is my living room stereo, an old but quite decent sounding Technics receiver (which far predates the networking era) and floor-standing JBL speakers. What I would like to figure out is a way to get the latter to pull tunes from the former, via my wireless router. Is there a device that will read the server contents and feed them to my existing receiver's audio inputs?? What is it?? Or do I need to get...

A forum on an everyday, non-political topic I visit nevertheless has a folder dedicated to politics as a repository for any discussions that start out or veer into political territory. It also gives the mods a method of policing the forums without deleting posts outright. Since I have the lovely FR and its denizens I rarely view the folder but in a moment of ennui I clicked through to it yesterday where a discussion of the minimum wage was, er, waged. It will not shock you to learn that there are all manner of armchair saints out there who believe...

I just noticed that I have originated 1500 posts and replied 37,621 times in 15 years of FRee Republic membership. I've enjoyed my time here, and I hope it continues for many years to come. This is the best forum on the web. I especially cherish the many FReepers whom I count as friends, even though I've never seen your faces. And for those whom I've met in person -- count yourselves as extra special. I am a "monthly" member, and it is worth every penny. I encourage everyone to make a monthly pledge to FRee Republic. There is a...

"We know that being gay is not a choice someone makes, and that to suggest otherwise can be incredibly harmful." Is HRC saying being gay is a birth defect?

First of all, my father won't be here to give it to her this year. He passed away a few weeks ago. My father had cancer. He wasn't able to walk the last few months of his life so he was pretty much forced to stay in bed. He had picked out some jewelry he wanted to give my mother for Christmas and asked my sister to get it for him. Way too much was going on for all of us because of my father's condition but he was persistent and continued to ask her to go get the gift....

State: Kentucky Plan: Platinum Premium: $239.63 Max Out of Pocket: $1,500 Deductible: $500 Why: She's pregnant and the total bill (Hospital+Midwife) will be around $8,000 presuming no complications. This is based on what the hospitals have told us. My sister-in-law just had a baby and they ended up paying over $9,000. Total cost to us: 239.63*12+1500 = $4,375.56 Savings: $3624.44 (Or more.) ---------------------------------------------- I am aware we need to watch out for the things that insurance doesn't cover however, having this insurance makes me feel monetarily less responsible. There have been several things that we have opted against because we...

This is a followup thread to another one that was posted yesterday on the same subject, particularly this one: http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3103587/posts To get straight to the point, I'd like someone to give me a straight answer about what a viable option would be for us to accomplish the following: Continued internet access for our home. Continued access to desirable TV programming - local channels, desirable cable programming such as sports events, both local and national, and [take my pick] of other stuff, also Fox News and CSPAN if it still exists. Cost decreased significantly from what we're paying [ourlocalcableprovider]. (I don't...

Cable is to TV what the dial up is to online access. We no longer need Cable to see what we want and when we want to. Streaming TV allows us to dump cable. Get a Roku or a Smart TV. Get Netflix for $8.00 and Hulu Plus for $12. And stations such as METV even stream on local sub channels that you can access for free!

They killed off Brody, and now it looks like Saul will have less of a role to play. Two of the best characters have for all intents and purposes, been taken out at once. I was expecting a cliffhanger, not Carrie walking out making a star on the wall. Curious what others thought?
