Rising optimism on the economy among racial minorities is boosting President Donald Trump’s chances in 2018, says a poll by Zogby Analytics. “Even though President Trump receives little support from these groups, things might be going just good enough economically that he can scrape enough support from these groups so that Republicans can retain control of Congress and Trump gets re-elected in 2020,” said the June 27 report by Zogby Analytics.
The racial groups are vital to the Democratic Party’s elite-led raucous coalition of minorities, and any decline in their 2018 turnout could cripple Democrats’ hope of regaining power in the House. For example, African-Americans comprise roughly one-quarter of the Democratic Party’s turnout in presidential elections.
In 2016, Trump won partly because African-American turnout fell, but also because he nudged up GOP support among Latinos and African-Americans, especially among men. In November 2016, Trump got 13 percent support among black men and 4 percent support among black women, according to the 2016 exit polls.

A 3% to 5% percent shift toward the GOP by African American and Hispanic voters would make a big difference.
Trump did not do this by pandering or playing identity politics.
He did it by giving a voice to the ordinary citizen who feels forgotten by the political class.

He has already and hopefully, those numbers are growing.
Cue the Democrats doing all they can to undermine the economy and pump up their racist rhetoric regarding President Trump, his administration, and Trump supporters to try to bring back the subconscious dog whistle many minorities were brain washed with since birth raised with.
They’re babies are being aborted as fast or faster than white babies. Their families haven’t kept a father figure and their kids are in gangs killing each other instead of having a job family and a life. As DJT said “What the hell have you got to lose”.

I think the Democrat Party will splinter after the 2020 election. It was on the verge of collapse in 1992, by H. Ross Perot, with the help of George HW Bush rescued them.
Trump pointed out the devastation of the black community and asked them what do you have to lose?
There’s a chance it splinters after the 2018 mid-term elections. If they don’t make significant gains in the House, and end up losing 6 Senate seats, they will likely start splintering big-time.
All the NeverTrump fools who refused to support him ought to show some character and publicly apologize for their lack of judgment. Don’t hold your breath waiting for men of character from that group.
I don’t want to see the President pander to minorities.
What I would like him to do is point out the road out of poverty begins with them wanting to get out. Many (whites as well as blacks) remain in poverty because of the decisions they have made and because the “safety net” is more comfortable then the efforts it will take to improve their life.
1. Stay in school. If you had to drop out, go to adult school.
2. Get married before having children. Uncle Sam makes a bad father.
3. Don’t do drugs. I would include cigarettes with all other drugs. They are expensive, and they will destroy your health. Don’t begin using alcohol until you are of age and only in moderation. I am not against alcohol per se, what I am against is immature individuals using alcohol and becoming more “stupid” they they already are. Being young and stupid and drunk is a dangerous combination.
4. Don’t commit crimes. A criminal record does go on your PERMANENT RECORD.
5. Get a job, any job. Even minimum wage will be a start. Show up everyday, work hard, learn how to be more valuable to your employee.
Is it easy? No. But you will have a better chance in life by following these rules then by ignoring them.
Believe me when I say this:
The men in the Black community WANT the dignity of honest work with decent wages.
Black women also want a man who can provide love and support for her and the family.
And they need to live in safe, clean neighborhoods.
President Donald J. Trump knows how to get this done; he knows how to talk to the hardhats and the average Joe/Jane.

More jobs, more money in peoples’ pockets, less government, less regulation. Good for most people everywhere.
I think many minorities like the direction the country is going and the feeling of progress that it creates. Their aspirations are suddenly more achievable. Therefore, a boost in black and hispanic support for Trump is entirely possible.
