It's down right insulting.
The life of a fine young woman is lost with a criminally corrupt investigation and it is reduced to being simply blown out of proportion.
Well, that ought to win some friends for Aruba. :/

"They still don't get it. Do they really think this is just going to go away?"
I am sure that is what they want but it won't happen! We can all watch "America's Most Wanted" tonight to help keep Natalee in the news. I also hope there is an appearance by Kelly to learn more about when the ruling will come out on his case in New York! It's been 17 days now, and guess it is a good sign the judge is looking over all the info that Kelly presented. Just keep praying for a win!
the longer the decision, the more likely a trial
Great! Than I can certainly wait a good long time!! :)
Meanwhile.
Holland: Frog found in Burger King salad
03/06/2006 - 12:52:27
A woman eating a salad at a Burger King restaurant in the Netherlands found a live frog in her salad, the company confirmed today.
Whats happened is that one of our guests Thursday evening found a frog in her salad. She went to the manager and showed him the frog. He saw it was there and thats a fact, said spokeswoman Christine Frey.
Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad quoted the customer, identified as 23-year-old Astrid Roek, as saying it was a big black thing, a frog or a toad.
She said she found the amphibian while halfway through her meal at the Burger King restaurant at The Hagues central train station.I stood up and screamed the place upside-down, she told the paper. Roek has submitted a complaint to the Dutch Food and Wares Authority, .... but is not expected to sue for emotional damages or punitive damages in the matter: large compensation suits are virtually unknown in the Netherlands.
We know that everybody sues everybody in the United States, but Holland is not like that, its not how it works here, Frey said.

Now we get a lecture:
Poor diet as bad as smoking for health: Dutch report
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Insufficient consumption of fish, fruit and vegetables is as bad for human health as smoking, a Dutch report said on Monday. The study, which the European Food Safety Authority says it will use when analyzing food and diet risks, concludes that most cases of serious illness and death in the Netherlands is caused by poor diet.
"Taking into account not just deaths but also years spent living with serious disability, unhealthy dietary habits cause as much health loss as does smoking,"
By comparison, foodborne infections cause between 20 and 200 deaths each year.

Insufficient consumption of fish, fruit and vegetables
Next they will add toads to the list. LOL!
One toad salad coming up!
Lucy, lecture is right! How about serious illness and death by sexually transmitted disease in their 'sanctioned' brothels and death by 'sanctioned' drugs (overdose) and deaths by 'sanctioned' suicide. The Dutch don't score high when it comes to self esteem - prostitution/drugs/suicide.
In Holland - eat your veggies/fruit and all is well. Morals be damned. Yeah, Holland really gives a rats A@@ about who lives or who dies. But we know that already.
Not much to say about the AMW presentation other than I was very disappointed in it, both time allotted and content..
Yes, it was short on info. It showed the heartbreak Dave suffers. We did get further verification from Natalee's friend that Natalee did not meet Joran before that Sunday evening. She was certain of that.
I've noticed the Netherlands seems obsessed with comparing itself to the United States. The Netherlands and Aruba could write a bestseller on how not to win friends.
That is encouraging to hear. Hope you are right, Nun.
With no decision, hope remains.
well, the logic is that a ruling wouldn't take long to research if the trial were being thrown out; to take this long means research is for a ruling allowing the trial...this judge would like to see justice served as much as we do, but, in the end, there are no guarantees until the gavel hits the wood for a finalization of the decree
"Not much to say about the AMW presentation other than I was very disappointed in it, both time allotted and content.."
I was also very disappointed!
NATALEE LIVES ............ Aruba Dies.
I know your point about keeping Natalee in the news is true, even if the case gets just a little air time. I am really counting on a win for Kelly in New York so there will be lots of coverage with a trial!
Sorry...I should have posted a link for that. I saw it on Greta way back in the summer. Van Der Straaten wormed his way around the question.

oops. here ya go.

Getting information out of the police commissioner is a bit like "pulling teeth," but when I confronted him about the report in the Aruban paper (that Joran allegedly said in an interrogation that he buried Natalee), he said, "I don't recognize it." I replied, "Does that mean it did not happen?" He responded, "I don't recognize it." Thinking he had not heard me, I tried again and he again said, "I don't recognize it." I then said, "Would you know if it had happened that way? Would you know if Joran said in an interrogation that he buried Natalee?" He then responded, "Yes." Our conversation ended there.
