In the states, a record of a birth would be recorded at the hospital, the county courthouse, and at the state health department. I wonder if Kenya had something local such as the equivalent to a courthouse or as you say a district.

Citizen at birth does not mean natural born citizen. I read your whole statement and it does not state natural born citizen - only citizen. The only place where it states natural born in your statement is where you placed it concerning John McCain. He was considered natural born of two US Citizens.

Confederate Yankee and HA have declared it a horrible forgery because of the “Republic of Kenya” text...whereas I’ve seen people argue here that this is actually a sign that it’s either legitimate or a really well done forgery because of the specific political climate in Kenya and that region in 1963.
I’m still extremely agnostic regarding this whole thing but it irritates me to see people rush to call it a fake, just as much as it bugs me to see people rush to call it genuine.
WND said they have similar documents and that there are no obvious signs of a forgery. One would think given all the research they’ve done that they’d be aware of when Kenya became a republic or not...so this suggests to me the possibility that comparison documents look the same and contain the same features as this one.
Is this a forgery? I don’t know. Yes it contains oddities but that in and of itself proves nothing.
FWIW, I say, let’s see contemporaneous forms so we can see if they are indeed identical. Let a forensic document expert sample the paper and the ink used. Check into the veracity of the names used and check into the book that’s referenced at the bottom.
If any of those things fall through, then it’s a forgery. But then...one has to imagine who benefits from this kind of thing. Certainly not “birthers” who would no doubt be smeared for even considering the document could be legitimate.
At any rate...IMHO...let’s wait and see what comes from the authentication process. If it’s real, we’ll deal with the fallout then. If it’s not, that doesn’t change the fact that Obummer is a lying liar who lies and has hidden big chunks of his life from we the people. Regardless of how this specific event turns out, I truly believe we have a duty to find out what he’s trying to keep a secret.

The current law, and the law as of 1961 has been posted many times.
His father being a British citizen has NO bearing on his NBC status. It’s his mother’s age that prevents her from conferring NBC status on him if he was born in Kenya. If he was actually born in Hawaii, he is a natural born citizen, period, end of story.
The 7 with a line thru it is pretty old practice in Europe, where they write “1” with a very long front stroke, making it look almost like an inverted “V”, and therefore easily confused with “7”. The line through the “7” distinguishes it from a long front stroke “1”

A Natural Born US Citizen is by definition a Citizen of the United States.
A person can be a US Citizen, and NOT BE a Natural Born US Citizen!
You know, I can see on another link where it says mother is US citizen and unmarried, but I think it was never a question of married or unmarried because by having a divorce, it legally makes an assumption there was a marraige. And he divorce decree gives a marraige date as well.
I don’t know whether or not Obama was born in the U.S., but the pictured birth certificate is clearly a forgery. I don’t know why WND didn’t check it out further.
You gotta watch out. Even if Obama was born in Kenya, a helluva strategy would be to produce a fake birth certificate (or a number of them) via third party sources to further discredit those who are seeking the truth. The birthers latch on to the forgery, and are then further discredited and marginalized.
Be on guard.

Why do you say its “clearly” a forgery? Forget the Republic reference.
Kenya was commonly called a Republic after the declaration of Independence.

I thought Obama was born 04 August 1961? In which case, what relevance does a 1964 birth certificate have?
