I have lost THREE real life friends now in trying to defend Sarah Palin. On one hand I tend to think the people who call her stupid are not the kind of people I even want as friends anyhow. However, I wonder if im being too harsh and going too far.
I know our country was divided on President Bush. But the division and the hatred for Sarah Palin has been able to top anything. Before Palin, I had a much more positive outlook on people (especially women, mothers, ect) and life in general. Now I find myself seeing people through a totally different lens.
I understand why I am so outraged as a husband and father of two girls. But what is wrong with WOMEN in this country ? they have really let Sarah Palin and her family down by not standing up enough and drawing a line in the sand.
As I said earlier : “ The building up of any living human being into almost a supernatural being is going to create an irresistible temptation to tear them down by others. “.
It's natural. And watch the MSM. They love to build up heroes just to later take them down: Obama, Bush, even Clinton in the early 1990s. It's their game.
You didn’t have much of a friend to begin with.
She is smart and has morals.
Anyone refusing to see that isn’t really worth troubling yourself over the loss...(st?)
The RINO party in Maryland loved McCain and now is promoting Romney.
I hope his health plan wounds him big time, or he's really the front runner.
It just amazes me to come to this forum and see folks say, “She probably couldn’t do any worse than Obama, and would probably be better than Bush.”
Now there’s a resounding endorsement. Holly cow!
And then there’s the real debate ender, “So who do you want damn it? I want to know right now you jerk!” “Ah ha, I knew you had nobody. You’re just a Romney/Paul supporter aren’t you!”
It’s mid 2010, and the Primaries don’t start for eighteen months. We’re at least 15 months from the traditional period when presidential candidates make their announcement intending to run. None the less, the Palin worshipers think demanding to know who people want, if they don’t want Palin, is a reasoned thing to demand.
Isn’t that elimination for cause, those that make such childish ploys to win debates?

LMFREAKINAO!!
HEILEMANN: Her foreign policy tutors are literally taking her through, this is World War I, this is World War II, this is the Korean War, this is the how the Cold War worked, this is the new war on terror. Theyre trying to teach her everything, because Steve Schmidt had gone to them and said, she knows nothing. A week later, after the convention was over, she still didnt really understand why there was a North Korea and a South Korea. She was still regularly saying that Saddam Hussein had been behind 9/11. And, literally, the next day, her son was about to ship off to Iraq. And when they asked her who her son was going to fight, she couldnt explain that.
So to answer my question, the direct source that you are using to formulate your opinion is either Steve Schmidt or unnamed.
Think about it.
Good grief. Folks, sit down and take a big dose of reality.
There are plenty of people who have actually served their terms in office (the full term), who have a good grasp on Conservatism.
My hope is that a few of them will declare in late 2011, and we’ll have a great selection process.
Palin is not going to shame a single one of these types of people. She may get an education on foreign affairs and who it is proper to throw your support behind though.
...and stupefyingly ignorant.
Acyuallt you didn’t. They were not friends anyway. And youwill be better off without them.
There is more than a little similarity, the adoration of people on the left by their supporters, and the adoration of people on the right by their supporters. Frankly, I’ve seen Hillary’s mindless supporters, just unwitting to what it is she truly is. And I find it damned scary to realize we have people on our side who get instantly furious if you try to explain mistakes our candidates make.
Blind, ignorant, refusing to take any look at reality, support is blind, ignorant, refusing to take any look at reality support, no matter which party the candidate belongs to.
These blind mindless head-strong supporters from both parties a danger to our nation.
Debates:
Palin VS Paul Ryan
Palin VS DeMint
LOL!
How can you be so damn mean as to laugh at these die-hard “Conservatives” expense?
Bwa ha ha ha ha...
Like voting for Chuck Baldwin.
sorry, i like sarah palin, but i do not vote based on gender. i find it ridiculous that you think WOMEN need to support her because she’s a woman. that is such a liberal way of thinking.
i like her, i wish her luck, i think she can do great things for our country. i don’t think she is equipped, at this juncture, to be president. i say that not as a woman, but as citizen of the voting public.
“That is a very unemotional, flavorless, colorless, insipid, boring and bland way to see things.”
Nope, it’s just mature and logical.
“Like voting for Chuck Baldwin.”
Sooooooooooooooooo....anyone who believes Palin is not the right candidate voted for Baldwin?
LOL!!!!!!!!
It was in response to her statement about being stupefylingly ignorant.
Ryan could asked Palin about her 2008 Univision amnesty remarks, and Sarah could ask Ryan about his numerous votes for and sponsorships of, amnesty.
Like even thinking I might vote for Chuck Baldwin. Lakeshark, the first rule of being in over your head, is to quit digging. The absurdity you folks will stoop to, to try to denigrate others who are only asking you to take a step back and look at what is going on, is self-destructive.
Going from one absurd comment to another, to another, to another, just isn’t playing well.
If you would admit that backing RINOs wasn’t a good idea, it would stop most of this bickering. There are too many people who know what McCain is, to try to snooker them with the idea it’s okay to back the man against a good Conservative. As a result folks in denial just look silly.
