I don’t understand either trend. Give me good, old fashioned brewed coffee anyday.

These pod things are an incredibly expensive and wasteful way to make a friggin’ cup of coffee. Even my favorite coffee, Chock full o’Nuts, has succumbed to this ridiculous craze.

So what? Who cares what the rest of the world thinks, does, etc.? They'd probably like to emulate us, but instant coffee is much cheaper than k-cups.
Now that this is settled, the press should concentrate on Benghazi, Fast and Furious, our Marine rotting in a mexican hellhole, etc.
I've used the Melitta 1-cup drip cone for the office with the heated bottled water dispenser.
I was given some k-cups. I used them, um, the contents that is, in my French Press
I don’t think so. Most, if not all, instant coffee labels have “100% Pure Coffee” printed on the label. If sugar was added, the company would have to declare it on the label.
As a matter of interest, I believe that practically all instant coffee is made from Robusta beans, not Arabica beans.
What does instant coffee have to do with anything???
Nestle is taking on Keurig with their “Nespresso” machines.
Similar concept, although the cartridges are a different size and only fit Nespresso machines.
Not cheap - but its really high quality and they will give Keurig a run for their money.
Fresh ground beans and a twelve cup brewer every morning for me.

Try the Costco branded k-cups ... San Francisco roast.
Keurig is brewed coffee. It is just brewed in single serve and prepackaged. You don’t open a can of coffee and let it grow stale.
Overpriced for my home, but I love it at the office.
The coffee in my K cups is not instant, it is fine-ground coffee. For coffee, it isn’t any different from any of the one cup brewers we’ve used in the past. Saves a lot of coffee too. Used to brew by the pot and always threw away at least half of the last pot, and after a pot cooks on the warmer for a while the good coffee taste turns to crap. Haven’t used a regular brewer for at least 8 years.
The cups can be found in various varieties on sale at prices that come down to 50 cents a cup for even premium coffees.
My personal favorites are Jet Fuel, Emeril’s and Revv.
For that one quick cup before church on Sunday, I like:
Basically ground coffee in a tea bag, each bag in a sealed pouch.
Never heard of ‘Keurig’ and I live in a coffee city.

That’s served on the Disney properties in Orlando. A tough swill if normally spoiled with regular brew.
