Henges: Stonehenge, Woodhenge, Avebury & Stanton Drew
Vimeo ^ | 9 years ago | Rupert Soskin, produced by Michael Bott

This is a clip from my film, 'Standing with Stones'.

Produced and directed by myself (Michael Bott) and presented by my old friend naturalist and explorer Rupert Soskin, it is a first-hand account from Rupert of a journey through the British Isles and Ireland, starting at the tip of Cornwall and ending on the Scottish Isles, visiting over 100 Neolithic and Bronze age monuments en route...

Standing with Stones is a documentary film that takes the viewer on a journey of discovery revealing the wealth and extent of our Neolithic and Bronze Age heritage.

If you ever wondered what it would be like to travel through England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, visiting the most intriguing and enigmatic monuments that our ancestors left us, then this film is for you.

Described by one magazine reviewer as "A stunning study of standing stones. A work of art." (Fortean Times), this is no amateur travelogue. Written and presented by writer and explorer Rupert Soskin and shot and edited by broadcast producer Michael Bott, this film is a stunningly beautiful and absorbing two and a quarter hour tour of our ancient heritage in the company of an engaging and knowledgable host - the journey of a lifetime.

I am enjoying this! Seeing and hearing about Stanton Drew for (if memory serves) the first time really got my attention (see the illustration above).

I'd love to spend some months just wandering around the countryside of the British Isles.

You missed a rock formation.

Democrat henge... made of of rock heads such as Schumer, Pelosi, Biden, Schiff, Nadler, Waters, Clinton, Ocasio-Cortez. . . and a host of pebbles, and a lot of sand in the gears.

"I'd love to spend some months just wandering around the countryside of the British Isles."

My wife is from Nottingham, and I can never get enough of touring the sites. If you're not familiar with the series, Tony Robinson's, Walking Through History is available on Amazon Prime. If nothing else, it will give you lots of ideas of things to see and places to go should you get the opportunity.
