Blogger admits Hawaii birth certificate forgery, subverting Obama claims (Uh-oh)
Israel Insider ^ | 3 July 2008 | Reuven Koret

Posted on 07/03/2008 4:35:19 PM PDT by SE Mom

Jay McKinnon, a self-described Department of Homeland Security-trained document specialist, has implicated himself in the production of fraudulent Hawaii birth certificate images similar to the one endorsed as genuine by the Barack Obama campaign, and appearing on the same blog entry where the supposedly authentic document appears.

The evidence of forgery and manipulation of images of official documents, triggered by Israel Insider's revelation of the collection of Hawaii birth certificate images on the Photobucket site and the detective work of independent investigative journalists and imaging professionals in the three weeks since the publication of the images, implicate the Daily Kos, an extreme left blog site, and the Obama campaign, in misleading the public with official-looking but manipulated document images of doubtful provenance.

The perceived unreliability of the image has provoked petitions and widespread demands for Obama to submit for objective inspection the paper versions of the "birth certificate" he claimed in his book Dreams from My Father was in his possession, as well as the paper version of the Certificate of Live Birth for which the image on the Daily Kos and the Obama "Fight the Smears" website was supposedly generated.

Without a valid birth certificate, Obama cannot prove he fulfills the "natural born citizen" requirement of the Constitution, throwing into doubt his eligibility to run for President.

McKinnon, who says he is 25-30 years old, operates a website called OpenDNA.com and uses the OpenDNA screen name on various web sites and blogs, including his comments and diary on The Daily Kos. In recent years he has divided his time between Long Beach, California and Vancouver, British Columbia. He is a Democratic political activist, frequent contributor to the left wing Daily Kos blog, and a fervent Barack Obama supporter.

Actually, I've seen enough versions of that law quoted that I'm totally confused about what it really means.

That's in part because Congress keeps changing it.

Other sources say she was using "Ann Sutoro", when she died. Strange, given her second husband's name was Soetoro.

Well, spelling foreign names and such, especially if the foreign country doesn't use the Latin alphabet, is pretty hit or miss. Many a German and Scandinavian got their last names scrambled at Ellis Island or Galveston, and they did use the Latin alphabet, although many of the individuals could not read or write even in their native language.

As the BOAC route map shows, commercial flight legs in 1960 were not as long as we have today.

According the Boeing web site, the first commercial 707 type jets were the 707-120 series of 1958 which had a range that was barely sufficient for the Atlantic Ocean. The 707-320 series in 1959 achieved a range of 4000 miles with 141 seats.

Whatever his status GW and the guys made doggone sure someone like him would never be able to become President - check out the 14 years a resident ~ I think that neatly excised renegade UK lords - not that he was alive at the time but he was the fellow who commanded the Maryland 400 and had his own following.

“That makes NOT A LICK OF SENSE.”
“You expect the actions of a wild child pre hippy to make sense?”

I am talking about wild-a**ed theories of Freepers. I expect them to make more sense than your average hippie, yes.
Currently, the “Obama wasn’t born in Hawaii” crowd are in Lulu land. Please dont tell me you’ve drunk the spiked koolaid too.
Someone must have put LSD in it. Lots of hallucinating going on.

I walk along his namesake street a few times a week. Since Lord Stirling was born in New York, perhaps a better example would be General St. Clair, who was born in Scotland. But St. Clair was never a Lordship, his dad was a merchant.

However Lord Stirling, the New Yorker, traveled to London in the 1750s and claimed the title "Earl of Stirling" by birthright as senior male descendant and voted at least once with the Scottish peerage. The British House of Lords refused to recognize him. More power to us.

“Just because he may have submitted a BC when he applied for a passport does not mean he was a citizen eligible for the presidency. He could have been born in another country for all that. Just because he has a passport doesn’t mean a thing UNLESS someone has seen his passport they don’t know where he was born or not.”

It means a heck of a lot. We know Obama has a passport, because he travelled to many places, like Kenya and before that Pakistan and as a child Indonesia. It means the US considered him a citizen. They could do so only if he was a natural born US citizen, since he is not a naturalized citizen.
1. His passport says his place of birth.
2. It is inconcievable that his passport says anything *other* than Honolulu Hawaii. Nobody like Obama would run for President and have his place of birth in his bio be different than what his passport says. For one, there was a breach of passport security, and it would be bizarre indeed for that to take place and the intruders not know something was seriously amiss and it become news item of the year.
3. That leaves only the possibility that his passport is wrong in listing Honolulu Hawaii and only deliberate fraud by him or his mother (even lying to Barack about his place of birth) took place. You have to believe (a) they wanted to commit fraud and (b) they somehow succeeded. Neither is at all plausible.

It actually means ‘case closed’ on this nutty theory since you have a thick and deep conspiracy theory just to successfully change a place of birth.
I would be interested in Obama releasing an old passport with photo etc. just to show.

Scanderhoovians mostly got their names scrambled by their fellow Scanderhoovians when they landed at Elkton in the Colony of Maryland in the 1600s.

Illiteracy was widespread in the good old days.

Yeah. It's inconceivable that someone would want American citizenship for their baby badly enough to lie on a government form.

“At this point, there’s no good reason”

Obama has EVERY REASON TO KEEP THIS NON-ISSUE ALIVE: It’s a bogus issue that will completely discredit his opponents and critics and prove them to be retards for doubting his bio place of birth. Someone mentioned “rope-a-dope” and that is what this is. At the end of the day, all reasonable people will conclude that yes indeed Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii and it was just a bunch of jerks trying to prove otherwise.

“with the affirmations of his campaign spokesman that the Fight the Smears birth certificate image is “real”.”
No he’s not. The claim that the Fight the Smear Birth cert. is not real is itself dubious. The claim that a blogger admitted forging it? False. Read carefully the McKinnon interview. Read the strata-sphere blog deconstruction. Israel Insider and Tx darlin’ got ahead of themselves.

Your chain is being yanked.

because Congress keeps changing it

A hyperactive legislature it is. Since the dawn of the air conditioner. Before then, all had to abandon the sweltering mosquito swamp for almost half the year. A real circuit breaker. Washington DC was considered a southern backwater paced city.

“Yeah. It’s inconceivable that someone would want American citizenship for their baby badly enough to lie on a government form. “

It’s inconceivable that someone would want American citizenship for their baby badly enough that they would leave the Honolulu Hawaii where they grew up and were going to school and had married their husband and jaunt off to the 3rd world just to have a baby, then turn around fly back and do everything you can to hide this event that you spent thousands of dollars (as a poor college student no less!!) to put into effect, and smuggle the child back into USA while evading/fooling passport office. Beyond bizarre, its practically an impossibility.

once again, where’s the plane ticket for Stanley Ann Dunham? Where’s the evidence of travel for here away from Honolulu? There is none. JUst your fantasy conspiracy theory.

Maybe you lie on a government form with regularity, but it is a slander against Stanley Ann Dunham to suggest she committed fraud when you have no evidence at all to back up your claims.

“McCain isn’t clearly. He was born on foreign soil.”

McCain *is* clearly. He was born of US citizens. That’s (one way to be) a natural born US citizen.

1790 First Congress, Act of March 26th, 1790, 1 Stat. 103.
“And the children of citizens of the United States that may be born beyond the sea, or out of the limits of the United States, shall be considered as natural born citizens: Provided, That the right of citizenship shall not descend to persons whose fathers have never been resident in the United States”.

The Moral of the Story that I want:
Modified, limited hang-outs DO lose Presidencies.
This is what the Obama birth story is so far: A classic modified, limited hang-out.

It’s irrelevent who delivered McCain and where.
See previous item. McCain was born of US citizens and thus was a citizen at birth, as determined by Congressional law in 1790. It doesnt matter where he was born.

For the same reason, Mitt Romney’s Dad, George Romney, was qualified to be President even though he was born in mexico city.

We get confused because most of those among us born overseas are immigrants. Immigrants born of foreigners who then move here become citizens by naturalization. They are ineligible for the Presidency as they were not natural-born US citizens.

“Modified, limited hang-outs”

By whom? The “Israel Insider” blogger who over-stated what McKinnon said?

I have yet to see any modification from Obama camp on this story. They are laughing their asses off over this.

Obama was born in Honolulu. End of story.

This story completely misses the mocha Marxist by a mile.

Speculation can be slander, still Stanley is dead, and by law the dead can't be slandered, and further this particular line of speculation is not slander at all.

It is public political discourse of an essential nature to the functioning of a democratic republic, regarding the character of a candidate and his eligibility for office, without which such type of discussion, inquiry and consideration voters would be not prepared and informed. So that even if it should by occasioned idle or rude movement move into slander or libel, by the first amendment we would still be protected.
