I have long enjoyed Free Republic as a news source, and greatly enjoy the depth of the commentary. I woke up from my political coma, like many Americans, during the 2007 Presidential campaign. I have since been silently witnessing the pain and suffering of our beloved country and liberties. I sincerely want the tide of politics to shift, but fear it too late. Time will show. I hope I can contribute to the FReep discussions intelligently.

WoW ... I did not expect all this response (103 so far) to my post intended to just introduce myself. To all who complain that I did not yet reply ... all I can say is I MUST sleep sometimes. My day begins at Noon Pacific Time and ends usually around 3AM - which is near when I posted.

I have not surrendered yet - I aim to help the conservative cause in any way I can. But I am very dis-heartened from what I’ve seen the past two years.
FourPeas - I didn’t think posting into Bloggers & Personal with my introduction would be problematic, since it was not a News thread. Should I have chosen General/Chat ? I was, after all, introducing my blog, such as it is.

LoL ! That coach might just be the very therapy I need right now. I’ve been screaming at my screen so loud that I would likely turn coach’s hair as white as mine. That’s part of why I like FReep so much, it’s like a chorus has stood up behind me, all screaming ‘WTF is going on here’ in perfect harmony. :)
