William Henry "Bill" Cosby, Jr. (dob 7.12.1937) is an American comedian, actor, author, television producer, educator, philosopher, and musician.
Cosby got his start at various clubs, then landed a starring role in the 1960s action show I Spy. He later starred in his own series, the situation comedy The Bill Cosby Show in 1969. He was one of the major characters on the children's television series The Electric Company for its first two seasons, and created the educational cartoon comedy series Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, about a group of young friends growing up in the city.
Bill Cosby has also acted in a number of films. During the 1980s, Cosby produced and starred in what is considered to be one of the decade's defining sitcoms -The Cosby Show- which aired a full eight seasons from 1984-92...
Dr Cosby produced the spin-off sitcom A Different World, which became second to The Cosby Show in ratings. He starred in the sitcom Cosby from 1996 to 2000 and hosted Kids Say the Darndest Things for two seasons.
Bill Cosby is still a most sought-after spokesman, and has endorsed a number of products, including Jell-O, Kodak film, Ford, Texas Instruments, and Coca-Cola. In 1976, Cosby earned a Doctor of Education degree from the University of Massachusetts.
Although loathe to discuss politics, Dr. Cosby is also generally known for his no-nonsense conservative views, particularly regarding the plight of the black community...

Among other things, Cosby was a Hospital Corpsman in the U.S. Navy.

“Russell, my brother whom I slept with”, amazingly funny album. I saw him his last taped comedy show live “Himself” I think it is called. I sat with my back towards him, and still have neck pains from laughing with a bent neck. The only reason I didn’t turn my chair around was that I was just dating this very nice looking young lady. I would do ANYTHING to make sure the date ended “nicely”. Looking back, I should have made her take my chair, I PAID FOR IT.......lol.

I think Bill Cosby is one of the better comedians that I’ve seen in my lifetime.
I grew up with him and the Fat Albert era.
Really says something that you can be CLEAN and still be funny. Most of the “comedians” today rely too much on vulgarisms. Bill Cosby is genuinely funny.

Cosby's and Bob Newhart's standup from 40-50 years ago is still fresh and hilariously funny. I doubt the same will be said about today's so called entertainers. I miss talent.

FWIW, I believe he's doing a show or two in Boston this weekend.
He was on the radio last week promoting it last week. He explained
why comedians don't do their old, but memorable material - the
audience destroys the punchlines.

Cosby is one of those guys who is so funny, he doesn’t have to say anything, just make a face, and you ROFLOL.

Let’s not be too quick to pick him for our side. Sure, smart, funny, rich, educated, accomplished.
But he signed on, lock, stock and barrel, to the Tawana Brawley scam, excoriating white America for its racism. Again, he scorched whites for demanding that Lisa Bonet, a co-star from his TV show, do a nude scene in a movie, “Fallen Angel” I think it was.
And he pushed the racist America that his wife, Camille, cited for the death of their son by a...Russian immigrant. But it was still the fault of white American.
Sharpton can have him.

Agreed. And, audiences today are too easily entertained. All these comedians have to do as say WTF and the whole audience is in hysterics. I don’t get it. Bill, Bob Newhart and Bob Hope were the best.
