My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Ah ha! I'll move that post right over here.
It's so weird being in the same hemisphere as everybody else! When I first came around, it was like, if you missed somebody with one message, get ready to wait 12 hours before they woke up again!!
Well, I miss that little room on the sixth floor (with no elevator) in Taiwan, but, I think I can get over it!!
OK, memory card, get to work!! Start downloading! :-)

groggy in the morning greeted less by sun
than fire in the east bounding toward us
Friday nightstands gave fair warning
as we drifted off we only smiled
and said, 'of course, of course'
miffed by our indifference
they sounded the alarm
with urgency awaking us
shaken like a work day
rising angry we
bullied them down
pulled their plugs
and
attempted a return to slumber
thus instead of ready
we got caught unrested
when fiery sun came bursting through
the window and crossed the floor
it caught the dog, the foot of the bed
and burned us finally as we groaned
curses aimed at nightstands went
unheard, at least unlistened
just two nightstands
sitting smugly scowling they
will say it serves us right when we
go downstairs to make the coffee.

When the world has you upside down
and you want to turn on the tap and cry
Remember, you have to hold your beak up
to swallow or you’ll be living dry!
When the sun does not shine on you
one day at a time you can try
to keep your sunny side up and soar
through every cloud in the sky!
Living the birds life is a fine way to go
when you travel light and hold
to the knowledge of an airport
nearest you will take you up, up
and away any day of the week.
So I advocate flying as a sure way to cure
anything that bugs and may get in you ear.
Climb aboard the wings of the sky
boarding pass in hand, plans well let them
be damned, just in that jet and fly!

Did I ever mention to you my trip to Bon Aire' in the Neatherland Antilles, 1980s.
Well, we were 75 miles by air from Venezuela, the Flamingo nest on Bon Aire and fly to Venezuela in daytime to feed. Most interesting birds.

oh those birds, chatter, chatter away about nothing.
I had a fabulous time there. Man is was pleasant weather- even hot you might say, lol. Nothing like swimming in the Carribean Sea surrounded by brightly colored tropical fish. The island has some WarII history. It's a small island 17 miles long and 3 miles wide.
I saw a green sunset there. What an experience, Brazilian Coffee and goat's milk. First cup was a jolt after that one it was great.

Today was uneventful. No one tried running the gate saying that they were late for a DMV appointment or looky-loos asking what is the facility and what occurs inside and finally what do all those antennas do? The weather was nice and that usually brings them out in full force.
