What they really mean is quit stealing our food.
What they really mean is some government reg is making us say this...
Exactly what I first thought.
Well... maybe most members of Congress.
“It is hard to eat a healthy diet when you eat at fast-food restaurants often,...”
I don’t think that is an untrue statement. If you eat a lot of fast food then you are ingesting a lot of extra calories and fat that you don’t need to. And, as for a McD’s employee, I’d think they’d get pretty tired of the stuff pretty quick anyway.
I think their statement is pretty much “fast food is okay in moderation but don’t live on it” is pretty accurate.
Don’t know if it is still the case, but employees used to get one non-premium McD sandwich, small drink, small fries per shift.
That’s the real meaning. This dictator and his minions are trying to take complete control over our food, and everything else. Having worked in a restaurant in high school years ago, I know the temptation to eat burgers, fries, etc every day you’re there. Once in a while is ok, but every day could be a problem and it is hard if not impossible to go to another place to buy healthy food on a short lunch break.
Bottom line though, it is time to rebel against this crap. If rebellion against this oppression doesn’t work then the other R word will be necessary.
Mickey D’s Nanny State PING!
I’ll do my thing at Burger King instead.
bump
Haven’t had a fast food burger in over 25 years and don’t miss them . We make burgers here at home in Japan but skip the bread . Rice or sometimes fries as a side dish w/ salad . Happy .
McD’s cheeseburgers are one of the best hangover cures I’ve ever found.
Some of the best burgers I’ve had were in Asia.
Lamb-burgers with thin buns sandwiching the patty, fresh tomato slices, onions and a creamy carrot-cabbage slaw dressing.
Sigh!
The norm for the burger kings that I have patronized is they are all way less than average level cleanliness. McD’s are always way above average clean, Wendy’s are maybe average or slightly better, and Whataburgers are above average clean, with a couple that I patronize way above average.
No wonder they wanted $15.00 an hour!
At $15 an hour....robots will be introduced, and a quarter of all fast-food employees will find themselves out of a job within five to seven years. Since we got rid of most industry jobs to Mexico and China....it’s hard to see where this crowd goes to get work next.
