Upon closer inspection, you would find that this is no random collection of bones, but rather is a deliberately constructed roadway delineated by the towering rib bones (some in excess of five metres high and weighing 300 kg), and dotted with huge whale skulls and large square pits dug into the permafrost. It would be a perplexing sight indeed.

Youre a deck hand on a North Atlantic fishing boat. Youve been at sea for a couple months, youre tired, youre cold, and you think the rest of the crew might be planning to eat you if the food stores run out. Then one day, while youre on deck doing whatever it is that deck hands do (I dont think it has anything to do with caressing the deck with your hands, but I could be wrong), you glimpse something odd on the shore of a tiny island by which you just happen to be passing. You see towering white spires, arranged in a double row all along the shoreline....... What Ive just described is the scene youd find if you travelled to a tiny Bering Sea island called Yttygran, which sits near the Cape of Chaplino in the Russian Federated Territories also known as Siberia.
Wow, and I thought Sarah Palin had good eyesight to see Siberia from her house. North Atlantic to Siberia is a stretch.

Ha Ha Ha!
They should have said “North Pacific”!
(And although Tina Fey thought she was being clever in mocking Sarah, there actually ARE islands in the Bering Strait that are part of the United States, where you can SEE other islands in the Bering Strait that are part of Russia.

Personally I always thought Stonehenge was just a party spot erected by some medieval frat boys....Leave it to celibate, nerdy scientists to try to place some religious significance to it........
As for the whale bones, I think it was cool that the Eskimos decided to stick them upright in the ground rather than just leave them lying all around........Maybe they were primitive goal posts for whatever game they made up to pass away the boredom

I saw an Alaska show where they flew supplies to Little Diomede in the winter. As he came over, you could see footprints and snowmachine tracks going from Siberia to America and back. He mentioned the natives always visit each other.

Indeed.
And I can bet that they can see each other from their front porches.
That is, before they freeze to death! LOL!
