Logan’s Miracle Room

Welcome to Logan’s Miracle Room.

We were all a part of this miracle through our prayers for his healing, and we thank God for the blessing received from being chosen to be a part of Logan’s life.

We ask that you come forth with your sick little ones and loved ones.
Tell us about the sickness, and your grief and your sorrow and your dread for tomorrow.
We understand.
We’ve been there, too.
Join with us and experience the power of prayer.
With God, all things are possible.

Update. After all the diagnostic work the problem is related to King Vanity's narrowing brochial openings and bronchial spasms due to his Cerebral Palsy.

We have for the last ten months changed our lifestyle. With medications and keeping his enviroment quiet breathing is under control, yet must be assessed and treated through out the day.

The RNC was to much and sent him into broncial spasms he gets overly excited and the spasticity overflow clamps down on him lungs. He can stiffen up like a 2 by 4 piece of wood.

So as I have for 25 yrs new game plan and work around the problem.

He is more sedated in order to make it humanly possible to get him into his wheelchair.

His social activity and outings are very much about quiet not over exciting functions.

My heart broke as he is very social that is his life and now having to slow down to preserve his quality of life hurt me like I have not hurt in many years.

He visits the locally owned grocery store where everyone visits in town and that has to be limited to no more than an hour or he gets into breathing complications.

No more smoke filled Casinoes and Comedy clubs as it is overtaxing on his neurological/nervous system.

He still loves politics and everyone asks him for his opinion.

The local paper came out and did a human interest story on him and his dogs after he tried to put his eldest Labrador who we had to put down, knew it was coming, under the human Obits.

We are going to do a thread on how he almost pulled that stunt off as soon as the article comes out in the paper.

He is a prankster big time, so bottom line nothing about his spirit has changed just the pace at which his physical being must perform. Sloooooow Down Son.

We added two Yellow Lab puppies over the last year which keeps me,mom, careprover, busy and active as a hobby and gets me out of the room where I do his around the clock medical care.

He has visitors to the house but a few jockey to be his best gal so I keep them apart. No cat fights!

He is excepting his slowing down the upside is with not running around town all the time he has two long hot showers a week. Spa day if you will since it takes a few hours to do that routine.

We are blessed to have thought ahead and our home is totally WC friendly.

15yrs we have lived here in our home.

It is a peaceful rural property on the Yaquina Bay.

Thanks to all who keeps us in their Prayers.

I have learned that now being homebound, except for my respite days so I can take a break, that a strong prayer life is essential to my mental health.

I am glad we travelled throughout the last 25yrs and that he has lived an active life.

However he plans on going to 100 so we must both take care of our health.

I am looking into if God forbid I die that we can donate our home to a group home, private run and that would open a space for another guy who is severly disabled to come live independantly in Chris' home and he can stay put.

He is so wild with uncontrolled movements other facilities will not except him, he must maintain a life in his own home with a 24 hr nursing staff. Not easy.

Other than slowing down I am healthy, but these things must be dealt with.

God Bless all.

I'd like to ask for prayers for my first grandchild, Jack, born on 10/12/04. He has a heart problem called "Long QT Wave" and is to receive a pacemaker tomorrow 10/15/04. The doctors have told us that if he makes it to 18 months (50/50) he will get a defibrillator inserted in his abdomen.

Other than the heart problem he looks perfect. In fact I'd say he's the cutest damn kid I've ever seen:) He weighed 7 lb 8 oz and was born at 10:12 a.m. on 10/12/04. Thanks for your prayers.

Hi Clink..

Little Jack has our prayers as we begin our day today.

Dear God, please place Your healing hands on Jack. Today he has surgery for his little heart. Guide those who treat him that they may find the way to make his heart strong and healthy. Give this child a long and healthy life in order that he may serve You. Console and give strength to his entire family. Remind them to be positive because as little as he is, he draws his strength from them.

Bless Jack with Your mercy and love.
In Jesus' name we pray. Amen

Our love and best wishes for our new little friend Jack.

Hi OP...

God love you! He knew what He was doing when He blessed you with your beloved son. Few would do as you have. Truly, you are the symbol of "a Mother's Love". You and Chris are a love story that is so sweet and tender. Thank you for sharing it with us.

We pray for both of you in our daily prayers...and will continue to do so.

*TT*, Beth & Nana

Thanks for the prayer plug!

My husband and oldest daughter left for Louisville about 5 hours ago. I am staying home with the little ones because we didn't see the point in dragging them over 700 miles one way when they don't understand what is going on. Besides, our 2 y.o. son's behavior as of late leaves much to be desired sometimes.

The coroner determined that my husband's grandfather suffered a massive heart attack. Even if they had found him while it was happening or if he had been in the hospital, it would have been too late. It was a combination of the cancer and other health problems that contributed to his death. His long suffering is over, and he died as he wished--at home and not in a hospital.

Our sympathy to your husband and your family in the loss of their grandfather. He is at peace now, without pain.

We hope your little one is doing well. Mommy says I must be approaching two too, because I've learned to throw "fits" when I want something and don't get my way! Shamie, shamie!

Hugs to you Okies....

Oh, Termite, you make me laugh :)

My Steven is 2 (last month) and he is the Master of Temper Tantrums! If you need lessons, see him lol.

Brooke is going to be 4 months old on Sunday--we can hardly believe it! She is so 'girly' and sweet. She sleeps through the night (most of the time). She has almost mastered rolling onto her belly from her back. Next step--solids :)

Well, it's time to get the little ones to bed. Then Mommy gets some quiet time! Nighty Night!
