Shill ( plant ) Alert:

GENERAL KEITH KERR A HILLARY PLANT ---> APPEARED ON CNN DEC 11, 2003

A Powerful Fraudulent Moment

Published by Gaius under Uncategorized

Jonathan Martin at The Politico got pwned - badly - by a very badly rigged question - and question asker - at the CNN/YouTube debate.

A retired Army general, Keith Kerr, just listed all his military credentials and then left the crowd silent by saying at the end of his video that he is "an openly gay man" and wants to know why gays can't serve in the military.

Romney was hit by Anderson Cooper with a past statement (imagine that) saying that he "look[ed] forward" to the day gays could serve. Pressed hard by Cooper about whether he had changed his mind, Romney plainly looked displeased. "This isn’t that time," Romney first said, noting the national security threats.  He said the "don't ask, don't tell"  policy "seems to have worked" and, toward the end, even drew some boos (it was tough to discern exactly why).

Kerr, present in the audience, was then introduced by Cooper and said he didn't feel as though he got an answer.  Explaining why, he got his own boos (partially snuffed by some shushing).

Here's the problem. Kerr happens to be a consultant to the Hillary Clinton campaign. CNN either did not practice due diligence or rigged this question in an intentional fraud.

On the eve of the 38th anniversary of Stonewall, Hillary for President announced the formation of "LGBT Americans for Hillary," a national steering committee of over 65 leaders in the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. Members of the steering committee include LGBT elected officials, activists from national LGBT and Democratic Party political groups as well as leaders from the worlds of business, entertainment and sports. This leadership committee will work with the campaign on several areas including political outreach, communications, policy advice and counsel, and fundraising.

The steering committee lists the following member:

  • Keith Kerr, retired Colonel., U.S. Army; retired Brigadier General, California National Reserve

This is a scam, not a "powerful" question. And the Clinton campaign should rightfully take serious heat for it. Plants are dirty tricks and should be called for what they are.

UPDATE: CNN claims it never knew.

UPDATE: CNN later learned that retired brigadier general Keith Kerr served on Clinton's lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender steering committee.

CNN Senior Vice President and Executive Producer of the debate, David Bohrman, says, "We regret this incident. CNN would not have used the General's question had we known that he was connected to any presidential candidate."

This is a basic matter of research that bloggers found in about three seconds on Google. This is not rocket surgery, for Pete's sake. Kerr was not "connected" HE WAS AN OPERATIVE. CNN either actively collaborated in a loaded scam question from a rival campaign or is too stupid to claim a mantle of professional journalism.

Hillary plants question in Republican debate...turns out that Keith Kerr, retired Colonel., U.S. Army; retired Brigadier General, California National Reserve, who submitted a YouTube question about gays in the military, is actually a member of Hillary Clinton’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transexual Americans For Hillary Steering Committee.

CNN committed a major error by allowing Brig. General Kerr to stage a question without disclosing that he serves on Hillary Clinton's campaign.

The Hillary Corruption Train Keeps a-Rollin

HILLARY'S WEAKNESS: Bill.

FINALLY: Hillary manages to plant a question! Shockingly, it slipped past CNN's google abilities.

And lots more observations from Bob Krumm.

Dick Morris unveils the true Hillary!

AN ANALYSIS WORTH READING

by Dick Morris, former political advisor to President Bill Clinton

If you happen to see the Bill Clinton five minute TV ad for Hillary in which he introduces the commercial by saying that he wants to share some things we may not know about Hillary's background . . . beware . .

As I was there for most of their presidency and know them better than just about anyone, I offer a few corrections;

Bill says: "In law school Hillary worked on legal services for the poor."

The facts are:  Hillary's main extra-curricular activity in law school was helping the Black Panthers, on trial in Connecticut for torturing and killing a federal agent. She went to court every day as part of a law student monitoring committee trying to spot civil rights violations and develop grounds for appeal.

Bill says: "Hillary spent a year after graduation working on a children's rights project for poor kids."

The facts are:  Hillary interned with Bob Truehaft, the head of the California Communist Party.  She met Bob when he represented the Panthers and traveled all the way to San Francisco to take an internship with him.

Bill says:  "Hillary could have written her own job ticket, but she turned down all the lucrative job offers."

The facts are: She flunked the DC bar exam, yes, flunked, it is a matter of record, and only passed the Arkansas bar.  She had no job offers in Arkansas, none, and only got hired by the University of Arkansas Law School at F ayetteville because Bill was already teaching there. She did not join the prestigious Rose Law Firm until Bill became Arkansas Attorney General and was made a partner only after he was elected Arkansas Governor.

Bill says: "President Carter appointed Hillary to the Legal Services Board of Directors and she became its chairman."

The facts are:  The appointment was in exchange for Bill's support for Carter in his 1980 primary against Ted Kennedy.  Hillary then became chairman in a coup in which she won a majority away from Carter's choice to be chairman.

Bill says:  "She served on the board of the Arkansas Children's Hospital."

The facts are:   Yes she did.  But her main board activity, not mentioned by Bill, was to sit on the Wal-mart board of directors, for a substantial fee. She was silent about their labor and health care practices.

Bill says: "Hillary didn't succeed at getting health care for all Americans in 1994 but she kept working at it and helped to create the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) that provides five million children with health insurance."

The facts are: Hillary had nothing to do with creating CHIP. It was included in the budget deal between Clinton and Republican Majority Leader Senator Trent Lott.  I know; I helped to negotiate the deal. The money came half from the budget deal and half from the Attorney Generals' tobacco settlement.  Hillary had nothing to do with either source of funds.

Bill says:  "Hillary was the face of America all over the world."

The facts are: Her visits were part of a program to get her out of town so that Bill would not appear weak by feeding stories that Hillary was running the White House.  Her visits abroad were entirely touristic and symbolic and there was no substantive diplomacy on any of them.

Bill says:  "Hillary was an excellent Senator who kept fighting for children's and women's issues."

The facts are:  Other than totally meaningless legislation like changing the names on courthouses and post offices, she has passed only four substantive pieces of legislation.  One set up a national park in Puerto Rico.  A second provided respite care for family members helping their relatives through Alzheimer's or other conditions.  And two were routine bills to aid 911 victims and responders which were sponsored by the entire NY delegation. Presently she is tryi ng to have the US memorialize the Woodstock fiasco of 40 years ago.

Here is what bothers me more than anything else about Hillary Clinton. She has done everything possible to weaken the President and our country (that's you and me!) when it comes to the war on terror. 1.  She wants to close GITMO and move the combatants to the USA where they would have access to our legal system. 2.  She wants to eliminate the monitoring of suspected Al Qaeda phone calls to/from the USA. 3.  She wants to grant constitutional rights to enemy combatants captured on the battlefield. 4.  She wants to eliminate the monitoring of money transfers between suspected Al Qaeda cells and supporters in the USA. 5.  She wants to eliminate the type of interrogation tactics used by the military & CIA where coercion might be used when questioning known terrorists even though such tactics might save American lives.

One cannot think of a single bill Hillary has introduced or a single comment she has made that would tend to strengthen our country in the War on Terror. But, one can think of a lot of comments she has made that weaken our country and makes it a more dangerous situation for all of us.

Bottom line:  She goes hand in hand with the ACLU on far too many issues where common sense is abandoned

Clinton Denies Role in Gays-in-Military Debate Question

Update: The plants keep sprouting like weeds (CNN debate)

The Clinton News Network Does It Again

November 29th, 2007

Apparently, CNN’s latest efforts for their Democrat masters involved stacking the Republican debate with questions from full-time Democrat activists.

According to internet research as compiled by Michelle Malkin and others, they so far include:

“Concerned Undecided Mom” LeeAnn Anderson, who is an activist for the John Edwards-endorsing United Steelworkers union.

“Concerned Undecided Log Cabin Republican” David Cercone, who is an avowed Barack Obama supporter.

“Concerned Undecided Young Person” “Journey,” who is an avowed John Edwards supporter.

“Concerned Undecided Young Farmer” (from Manhattan Beach, CA) Ted Faturos, who is a former intern for Democrat Congresswoman Jane Harman.

“Concerned Undecided Young Black Man” David McMillan, who is an avowed Republican hater and John Edwards supporter.

And lastly but not leastly, this mother of all ringers, “Concerned Undecided Retired General” Keith H. Kerr:

Mr. Kerr is in fact a top Hillary Clinton supporter who is even on her Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgendered “steering committee.” (Which, as we noted previously, is headed by Hillary’s Wellesley roommate, Eldie Acheson.)

Mr. Kerr is also a member of the Veterans and Military Retirees for Hillary Committee.

Of course CNN knew all of this. Indeed, Mr. Kerr has appeared on the network before.

Moreover, it’s clear that the General got very special treatment from CNN. He not only asked his question via YouTube (how many generals use YouTube?), but he was flown in from California so as to be in the audience.

In fact, Mr. Kerr was conveniently seated up front so near the stage that Mr. Cooper could hand him a microphone to continue his political diatribe.

Obviously CNN knew what they were doing. They just hoped the audience wouldn’t catch on.

But thanks to the internet and Bill Bennett, Anderson Cooper (don’t ask, don’t tell) was forced to come clean:

Though one suspects that if Mr. Bennett had not raised the issue on live television it would have never been mentioned by any Mr. Cooper at anyone at CNN.

But of course by the time the admission was made most of the viewers had tuned out and Mr. Kerr’s objectives had been accomplished.

As so far there is still no acknowledgement from Mr. Cooper or anyone at CNN about the other “Concerned Undecided” questioners.

Mind you, this is the self-same Mr. Cooper who likes to go on about “Keeping Them Honest.”

It is to laugh.

Two weeks ago Edwards and Obama endured a CliNtoN staged informercial featuring Hillary(D) plants as post-MassDerbate “analysts” as well as Hillary campaigners planted as “undecided voters”, per Doug Ross’ roundup

A Democratic Party bigwig
An antiwar activist
A Union official
An Islamic leader
A Harry Reid staffer
A radical Chicano separatist

In other words… a representative sample of the (D)emocrat party.

ADVERTISING AGE: "CNN seems intent on finding its few remaining Republican voters and driving them into the arms of Fox News."

Plus, "At CNN, November is planting season."

UPDATE: Bob Krumm: "This is crystal clear evidence that CNN has hired the New Republic to do its fact checking." Ouch!

Media barely even trying to hide its bias--In 2004, Newsweek's Evan Thomas described media bias as being worth 15 points to the Democrats. I do not believe that is any exaggeration, and I believe it applies to almost every race. Consider the following: The MSM is trying to use permatantrum™ and fibrication™ techniques to talk us into a recession, or worse. Meanwhile, most sectors of he economy are screaming along at a pace that is the envy of the developed world...

The Maginot Line doesn't always hold --There's a whiff of  panic among the pollsters, consultants, acolytes and other ladies in waiting in the court of Hillary Clinton....The one-time Lady Macbeth of Little Rock — before she scraped the Arkansas buckshot mud off her sturdy matronly pumps and became a New Yorker — looked invincible at Halloween and for a few weeks afterward but suddenly her campaign plane over Iowa looks a little like a broom and a prayer...the CNN debacle proves the media is not even smart enough to understand how to cover its own tracks.

LOSING GROUND (Hillary campaign...South Carolina up for grabs)---With her lead slipping away ...it's hard to get elected when 1/2 the people hate your guts. Not much margin for error...

NH Hostage-Taker Wants Free Health Care

December 1st, 2007

From the Clinton News Network, CNNHe said he’d been to a local psychiatric hospital but was told he’d have to pay “thousands of dollars” — money he said he didn’t have. The call ended.“I need to speak to Hillary Clinton,” he said. “Something’s got to change. Ordinary people need help” with their insurance.

Of course the case could be made that the hysteria Hillary and others have whipped up about health insurance may have contributed to Mr. Eisenberg’s unfortunate actions.

In fact, it’s a miracle we don’t have more things like this.

Misty, Watercolored Memories

Published by Gaius under Media, Politics

Gerard Baker compares the relative merits of the celebrity endorsements that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton just scored, Oprah Winfrey and Barbara Streisand respectively, and judges the probable impact of each. Decision: Obama got the better deal by far.

Streisand long ago crossed the blurry boundary between celebrity and politics. She is yesterday's news, proudly waving the banner of liberal preposterousness since 1965. Her only memorable recent cinematic performance, for all the wrong reasons, was as the oversexed sexuagenarian alongside Dustin Hoffman in the utterly tasteless Meet The Fockers sequel.

Her intervention this week is fitting, though, precisely because it captures what looms as the largest impediment to the increasingly troubled ambitions of Mrs Clinton ? that what the former First Lady is offering is a better yesterday. Mrs Clinton's campaign might in fact be summed up in the lyrics of Streisand's most famous locution, back when she was still a bona fide celebrity:

Memories, like the corners of my mind,

Misty, water-coloured memories

Of the way we were

Despite her efforts to portray herself as something new, voters know well enough that Mrs Clinton represents a restoration rather than a revolution. For many Democrats, angry and bitter about the direction of US politics these past eight years, this is just fine ? the dewy memories of The Way They Were in those aquarelle days of the 1990s is good enough.

But there's clear evidence now that this won't do: 2008 is shaping up to be what political strategists call a change election. It is not just eight years of George Bush that voters want to consign to the past but the whole political culture of the past 20 years or so.

Even the press release that Streisand put out announcing her support for Clinton made sure that Streisand got top - and bottom billing:

Legendary filmmaker, artist, and Democratic activist, Barbra Streisand, today endorsed Hillary Clinton for President. Streisand cited Clinton's ability to bring about change and the historic nature of her campaign as reasons why she is supporting Hillary's candidacy.

[Insert obligatory mention of someone else]

Barbra Streisand is a singer, theatre and film actress, composer, film producer and director. She has won Oscars for Best Actress and Best Original Song as well as multiple Emmy Awards, Grammy Awards, and Golden Globe Awards. She is considered one of the most commercially and critically successful female entertainers in modern history.

As Baker points out, Streisand is so very yesterday. Will celebrity endorsements be enough to tip things? Who knows. But what obscure book last became a best seller because Streisand endorsed it? Think about that for a moment.

Clinton Hostage-Taker Allegedly Cited Her Campaign Ad --I guess the hidden message here is “ unless anyone forgot just what magic Hillary can work, here is a reminder”.
OTOH, I don’t know if the Clinton Campaign wants to be reminded of just what magic she was capable of years ago,
when “the messenger” is an abject lunatic.

ANN ALTHOUSE: "Did yesterday's hostage crisis teach us anything about Hillary Clinton?" "The more I think about it, the Hillary! campaign is just a Hollywood production. The World Turned Upside Down

Published by Gaius under Politics

Legend has it that the band of Lord Cornwallis' army played that tune when they marched out to surrender to the Continental Army at Yorktown. That story may be only a myth. This one isn't. The latest polls in Iowa show Huckabee on top for the Republican field and Obama leading for the Democrats.  If it holds, just like that the race changed. Completely...

...all the "destiny", all the "inevitability" are out the window.

The old Chinese curse applies. May you live in interesting times. (If that is any more true than the tune the band played when Cornwallis surrendered.)

Oh, fer Gawd's Sake:

We TOLD You...

'Nonpartisan' groups help Hillary's bid

Hillary Clinton is booed at campaign event --Obama is MUCH more difficult to beat than Clinton. He comes across as a far more likeable individual. His ability to play the “I”m not partisan” card will work, even in his blatant partisanship. He’s very good at praising “free stuff” giveaways as he’s doing with the subprime housing situation right now. And on top of that, he’s youthful, energetic, and has a magnetic smile.

Hillary and Obama: The Democrat Punch and Judy Show

December 3, 2007 03:35 PM by Michelle Malkin4 Comments |

Hillary Will Assail Obama's Character, Laughter Abounds

In what would qualify as satire, the Washington Post reports that Hillary Clinton's new strategy in Iowa will focus on Obama's character rather than his policy positions. Hillary has fallen behind Obama in recent polling in Iowa, and has decided to campaign against him more aggressively. However, given the track record of the Clintons, character hardly appears to be a winning forum for the national frontrunner: Obama may have a skeleton or two in the closet with his Chicago connections to Tony Rezko, but the Clintons have a figurative graveyard in theirs. Obama can start with the Travel Office firings and the trumped-up criminal case that attempted to cover it up, to the 900 raw FBI files the White House illegally held, pass up Monica Lewinsky and go straight to the records that Hillary and Bill refuse to release from his administration. If Hillary wants to make character an issue, then she legitimizes all of that debate, and plenty more besides.

If she thinks she can win a character debate in the general election, she is getting very, very bad advice. (via Power Line)

Gallup: Hillary Losing Ground (Update: Worse Than First Thought)

Recall the pushback when we linked to the Zogby poll that showed Hillary's support eroding at the end of November? The numbers showed Hillary losing ground against all Republican contenders, and had some correlation with Rasmussen's numbers as well. Nonsense, came the response; Gallup's polling in November -- two weeks earlier -- showed Hillary maintaining her momentum.

Oops:

Hillary's ship has begun to take on water. With negatives at 44%, two-thirds of which are tied to personality or character issues, she has been exposed as a major liability for the Democrats. Can they afford to dump her now -- and given the Clinton's ties to the party Establishment, is that even possible?

UPDATE: USA Today has the polling results, and they look even worse for Hillary.

UPDATE II: Big thanks to Rush Limbaugh, who quoted from this post today.
