Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

If Rudy was a socialist, then why did Steve Forbes endorsed him???

Because Malcolm Forbes, Jr. was a phony all along.

Yes, but, sugar, you are the one making all of those piles.

You need to grow up, stop being destructive, and stop venting your rage on people you don’t know and have no reason to be angry with.

"...so the onus shouldn’t be on the conservatives."

I think they are all conservatives. I concede that Rudy is a "liberal," but I think the Rudy folks that were on FR were conservatives, I believe they proved it over time. I won't agree that they should not argue strenuously and freeper-like (which can be kind of tough) on behalf of their candidate, since he is the leading contender for the conservative party in America, the GOP, if that's what is meant by being divisive. I will agree that the onus is on them to prove that Rudy is a conservative.

It doesn’t surprise me that you are one of the more reasonable one’s on the other side (so to speak).

Yes, RWR is the reason I am a Republican and a conservative. It took awhile to get the mush out of my brain from all of those liberal socializers in school and in the media.

Your reading comprehension and ability to place things in context is severely lacking then.

I'm clearly referring to the size and power of the respective voting blocs....no other comparison.

You are so bored that the fish aren't biting any more aren't you?

So you don’t answer the false dilemma but just turn around and pose another “have you stopped beating your wife” type of false dilemma.

Is conservative vs. conservative infighting acceptable?
***This is a socon forum and we’ve had a bunch of solibs pushing their liberal candidate in a rude manner. So it’s conservative vs. Solib.

This isn’t just conservatism vs. Rudy supporters.
***Another place where you twist the truth. It ain’t conservatives vs. Rudy supporters. It’s socons vs. solibs who want to push FR into supporting a liberal candidate. There are still plenty of rudy supporters on this forum but they’re on notice not to be so rude. I would hope that they would answer questions of substance as well, because I get so tired of crickets.

>>>>>However, does “Swift-boating” a Republican ultimately serve conservatism and the preservation of this Nation...?

IIRC, JimRob came up with that term. I think its a good idea and a worthy endeavor. In my book, a vote for Rudy is a vote for liberalism. So a "Swiftboat" style campaign to knock Rudy out, is something I will support. That is how serious I am about assuring Rudy doesn't win any election.

>>>>>Who, of the conservative candidates, supports this?

I don't know about the candidates. I do know that conservative activists around FR support it.

Hey that tactic used to always work when you had 15 other people come in and pelt the person....so break it down better than that.

I wouldn't expect less from you--whereas you have me confused with someone else. Your SNR is approaching zero.

Forbes only cares about money....and I admit he is quite adept at making it. He has no problem with illegal immigration, as it fattens the bottom line. Forbes? You can have him....and Rudy duped him by agreeing with Forbes on tax reform....and once he got the Forbes endorsement, said he was “just kidding around”
