What Makes a FReeper a FReeper?

I often wondered what exactly makes a FReeper a FReeper? Is it the simple act of reading articles on FR? Do you have to post articles or replies? To call yourself a FReeper do you need to engage in effective activism like writing letters to politicians, getting out in the street to carry signs, or, is being a FReeper an attitude. If so, what attitude is that?

I often wondered what exactly makes a FReeper a FReeper?

The moment I log onto FR, a whirring sound begins. My coke-bottled glasses transform into ultra-sensitive seeing. My mundane work clothes become an Italian 3-piece suit. The decor of my apartment changes from a Gen X bachelor pad, covered in Packers' memorabilia, into a New York nightclub with blonde chicks dancing under a huge disco ball.

And thus I am EEE, able to sniff out BS in the liberal media and attack liberals in both parties (Superfriends cartoon narrator: "Meanwhile, over on the Hillary thread...")

I believe FReepers share the silent knowing. That knowing defines what “is”...really “is”...and at the same time they are quite capable of flaming each other in the pursuit of outing the chaff.

Makes no sense..but then again...it does.

Lucianne coined the phrase. At the time I objected to it because it sounded weird and didn’t describe what we do.

It quickly became part of the FR lexicon. I’m good with it meaning “Free People”.

You have to hate rats, I have been hanging around here since the end of '97 in one guise or another, and I hate the Democratic Party, FReedom Stealer's.

If there weren’t a dem party we would have to invent one. Politivs works that way and I’m a believer in the two party system.

To me a democrat is someone whose opinion I might change. On the other hand, I hate liberals. They’re close minded, arrogant collectivists whose only objective is the consolidation of power to enslave free people instead of liberating them.
