An upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.
Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.

1st chemical attack by terrorists in Iraq:
WorldNetDaily ^ | 6/26/04 | Joseph Farah
Posted on 06/26/2004 12:19:17 PM PDT by wagglebee
A day after the head of the CIA weapons inspection team warned that terrorists in Iraq are trying to get their hands on the Saddam Hussein regime’s chemical weapons of mass destruction, Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin reports the first attack with these weapons of mass destruction has been launched inside Baghdad’s Green Zone.
Few details are available, including any casualties associated with the attack using mustard gas.
[snipped]
Duelfer said his inspection team has uncovered bombs filled with blistering mustard gas or the nerve agent sarin.
continues.

Vindication shall be ours.
I never say anyone is worthless.....you can always hold them up as a bad example.
Seriously, President Bush is obviously a well intentioned but misled man. His efforts with regard to the War on Terror are above reproach. His domestic efforts have been dismal failures - No Child Left Behind, His backing of illegal immigration, the Medicare Drug Plan, and last but not least, he violated his oath of office (you know, the one where he swore to uphold the Constitution of the United States) he signed the Campaign Finance Reform bill knowing that it was unconstitutional and hoping that the Supreme Court would throw it out.
I certainly don’t think W has done a wonderful job.
But if he is vindicated on the ‘WMD’ issue, I just don’t think that ‘those who have no shame’ will ‘be shamed’ into giving him any credit.
Same reason he didn't release the info about solid links between Al Qaeda and Saddam:
"The administration does not want the victims of Sept. 11 interfering with its foreign policy," says Peter M. Leitner, director of the Washington Center for Peace and Justice (WCPJ). Leitner says the Bush administration may be concerned that if other victims of the Sept. 11 attacks also filed lawsuits and won civil-damage awards it would reduce Iraqi resources that the administration wants to use to rebuild the country. Leitner and others say this explains Bush's reticence at this time to report the convincing evidence linking Saddam and al-Qaeda that has been collected by U.S. investigators and private organizations seeking damages. "The [Bush] administration is intentionally changing the topic," claims Leitner, and sidestepping the issue that "Iraq has been in a proxy war against the U.S. for years and has used al-Qaeda in that war against the United States."
In in 1998, an Arab intelligence officer, who knows Saddam personally, predicted in Newsweek: "Very soon you will be witnessing large-scale terrorist activity run by the Iraqis." The Arab official said these terror operations would be run under "false flags" --spook-speak for front groups--including bin Laden's organization.
Then there were the predictions by an Iraqi with ties to Iraqi intelligence, Naeem Abd Mulhalhal, in Qusay's own newspaper several weeks before the attacks that stated bin Laden would demolish the Pentagon after he destroys the White House and bin Laden would strike America on the arm that is already hurting. (referencing a second IRAQI sponsored attack on the World Trade Center). Another reference to New York was [bin Laden] will curse the memory of Frank Sinatra everytime he hears his songs. (e.g., New York, New York) which identified New York, New York as a target. Mulhalhal also stated, The wings of a dove and the bullet are all but one and the same in the heart of a believer." which references an airplane attack.
The Arabic language daily newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabic also cited the cooperation between Iraq, bin Laden and Al December 1998 editorial, which predicted that President Saddam Hussein, whose country was subjected to a four day air strike, will look for support in taking revenge on the United States and Britain by cooperating with Saudi oppositionist Osama Bin-Laden, whom the United States considers to be the most wanted person in the world. This info is in the link provided below. How could these people have had foreknowledge without Iraq being involved?
Warning...slow loading .pdf file. This was from a lawsuit filed against Iraq after 9/11...the court ruled against Iraq.
There was also another lawsuit filed by the family of John ONeill (a former FBI agent who captured Ramzi Yousef after the 1993 WTC bombings) after he died in the WTC on 9/11. His personal files from his years of traveling around the world investigating al-Qaeda are were used as evidence in the lawsuit. The evidence includes documents unearthed in the headquarters of the Mukhabarat (Iraq's intelligence service) and information gleaned from the interrogation of both al-Qaeda and Iraqi prisoners. (Link below). It also quotes Vincent Cannistraro, the former CIA counter-terrorism chief, who stated in October 2000 that Iraq had been wanting to carry out terrorist attacks, and that the Iraqi military had been in contact with Osama bin Laden.
We know from these IIS documents that beginning in 1992 the former Iraqi regime regarded bin Laden as an Iraqi Intelligence asset. We know from IIS documents that the former Iraqi regime provided safe haven and financial support to an Iraqi who has admitted to mixing the chemicals for the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center. We know from IIS documents that Saddam Hussein agreed to Osama bin Laden's request to broadcast anti-Saudi propaganda on Iraqi state-run television. We know from IIS documents that a "trusted confidante" of bin Laden stayed for more than two weeks at a posh Baghdad hotel as the guest of the Iraqi Intelligence Service.

HOLY COW!! Just got the ping. THANKS!! Going to read the article.
“Anyone with eyes knew this back then.
The huge line of vehicles stretching across Western Iraq headed into Syria during the 3 weeks before we went in was a really big clue.”
I’m skeptical. All those people with eyes, but no-one brought a camera and virtually no imagery that we know of. Sure it’s been claimed that the imagery hasn’t been released because we had bigger concerns with the Russians or because we didn’t want the “no WMD” fiction to be exposed, enabling the insurgency to use it. But everything imaginable has been claimed. Research the hundreds of stories, and 99% are just snowballing an original or two that had multiple credibility problems.
I suspect the truth is in the middle, some valuable WMD materials, tools and documents were moved, but not the convoys of semi-trucks and fleets of cargo ships worth. WMD was more fiction than fact, but a lie perpetrated by Saddam, not by us. The most we were guilty of is not recognizing it, that an not making it more clear that there there were a half dozen good reasons to remove Saddam despite his crippled WMD program.
Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.

Well, well, well !
Verrrrry Interesting!
A caller to one of the talk shows yesterday called Bush
"Dubya, M.D.". Guess Bush will get the last laugh when
history sorts this crap out, huh???
And there is NO DOUBT that Saddam Who's Sane actually
USED WMD's MANY TIMES !!!! But you NEVER hear
that mentioned on ANY news or talk outlet, do ya ???
Isn’t President Bush suppose to give a big speech tonight or tomorrow to coincide with Petreaus’s testimony? Woonder if this news will be on the agenda?
I dunno. Interesting.
We shall see! :^D
See, this is the distinction that the liberals and the MSM refuse to draw, even though they’re smart enough to know better. They scream about “Saddam had no WMDs.” And he really didn’t, not that we’ve found, except for some ancient chemical shells dating back from before the first Gulf War.
But what he DID have were what got shipped out of the country—THE MANUFACTURING COMPONENTS. “Missile components, reactor vessels, and fermenters,” from your article. The stuff that you set up and use to CREATE the WMDs.
The media and the Democrats have deliberately misled us about this. They can truthfully say “Saddam had no WMDs,” but what they never follow up with is that they could also truthfully say, “but given a fairly short period of time, he could have started producing them.” Maybe not nukes, but biological and chemical weapons for sure. He had empty chemical howitzer shells, and chem agents aren’t exactly high-tech to produce. If some moron in a motel room in Las Vegas can damn near kill himself with some ricin, you don’t think a government flush with billions of dollars in illegal UN Oil-For-Food kickbacks couldn’t produce enough ricin to be dangerous?
}:-)4
“In 2004, the police in Jordan seized 20 tons of chemical weapons coming over the border from Syria.”
This news would not have helped in the eternal quest to get John KErry elected president, so it was UTTERLY IGNORED by the US Media, and down the memory hole it went.
Now, it’s “Old News”, and is “meaningless”...
This is the main reason I am incredulous when I hear, "There were no WMD".
It’s useful now.
Wow! This could be a big deal if we can confirm.
