Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site
12/11/2009 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 12/11/2009 5:57:16 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Free Republic is a fringe right-wing Christian fundamentalist site... or so they say... and they might even be right.

We don't go for any of that godless left-wing big government socialist malarkey. And we do put our faith and trust in God, not government. We are pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Family, pro-Country and pro-Liberty.

We do not believe that government or science knows what's best for us or our children. We will make our own decisions thank you very much.

Every once in a while some group of posters get together and try to bend Free Republic to their will. Now, we tend to be pretty free-wheeling around here and will take a lot of guff and a lot of obnoxious insults from a lot of people, but eventually a breaking point is reached.

For example, when a group of RINO lovers recently banded together to try to force FR to accept an abortionist/gay rights RINO as our presidential candidate, they soon found themselves on the outs.

And a few years ago a group of evolutionists tried to force FR over to their way of thinking and they soon found themselves on the outs.

FR is a pro-God, pro-Creator, pro-Life, pro-Liberty site.

And now we have yet another group of Darwinists trying to have their Darwinist way with us. Well, as I've said before what doesn't kill us will only make us stronger.

Darwin Central has again declared war on FR. They have ping lists and email lists and will try to pull away as many FReepers as they possibly can. So be it. Those who would rather go with Darwin, please go. I sure as hell won't try to stop you.

FR will remain a pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-Creator conservative site.

We wholeheartedly believe that our unalienable rights are a gift from God our Creator not from man or government. And no man, no government will ever deprive us of same.

Keep your powder dry.

If our rights to life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness don’t come from the Creator, then who/what do they come from?

Ayn Rand and the Flying Spaghetti Monster?

Cheers!

Well, I'm deeply religious, but I don't subscribe to any particular denomination because I can't trust the clerics whose feet are made of clay!

I too have taken the oath of office and share your point of view on that.

Opinions are like belly buttons... everybody has one, and like Rush said the other day, not everyone's opinion is valid because many of them are just wrong!!!

However, I really don't think Mr. Robinson is too quick to condemn/reject or eject FReeper's opinions as long as they remain opinions expressed in fundamentally civil manners without seeing anyone being beat over the head with one competing point of view.

I'm sure he'll correct me if he feels, rather thinks what I said here is wrong. It would then be wrong for me to be touchy, or thin skinned about his expressing his wish that within reason, we all can come here as conservatives and share our fundamental beliefs, religious or political.

I've been a ham radio operator for years and they have an unwritten rule forbidding the discussion of religion or politics because the airwaves know no national boundaries and no one wants it to become like Citizen's Band became in the 1970's, 10-4??? (grin)

"Keep in mind that Satan was sent here long before humans."

Only if you believe that "here" is a part of Satan's realm.

Satan is only a shadow here on Earth. When you face God's glory, that's when Satan is forced to "get behind you".

It nursing school we are taught that gravity is the force that pulls all things to the center of the earth...our faces being pulled on the most goes first...I am not telling you what goes second....it will leave a bad picture that you cannot get out of your mind....:O) like Helen Thomas nude......even I go yuk at that one...

It is obvious from the literal meaning of the words. That’s all the explanation necessary.

The Lord gave Adam the means over the animals of the earth. (that means they were already here). The sin began shortly after and we all know that outcome.

Are you referring to “faith” and “fact”?

No, I will not. I cannot believe that Iron age people, for whom all of natures caprices were the result of some unknown god, can be the basis for today's science.

Gensis has more than one creation story, and they are contaditory. Exodus has God visiting Moses much as Zeus came to earth, and, inexplicably, in Exodus 24, after God has sent Moses to Egypt to free his people, he comes to earth to kill him.<

You find contadictions in science, but not in the Bible? How so?

Satan was cast to the Earth. He is in charge. Humans are the struggle that were injected by the Tree of Knowledge.

But there are threads which barely got past the ping list ping before the evos jumped in with both feet and started the derision and ridicule. And these are just those threads. That doesn’t count where it happened later. And recently a poster was banned for some vile anti-Christian sentiment in the form of a picture and a screed, and three threads were pulled this week alone, and those evos on that thread were NOT blameless.

Go back further.

Heavens and Earth, Earth without form and void.....dust cloud/disk orbiting the proto-sun........sun ignites, day divided from night......Earth cools, water forms.....you get the drift, eh.

So, how did the authors of the Torah know?

"Satan was cast to the Earth. He is in charge. Humans are the struggle that were injected by the Tree of Knowledge."

And we're all standing around on the backs of elephants that are walking on a giant turtle, right?

I think my mileage varies.
