In the wake of Glenn Beck's hugely successful Restoring Honor rally held in Washington, D.C. this weekend, the Huffington Post has published an offer of $100,000 to anyone with evidence that would destroy Beck's reputation and take him off the political/cultural battlefield.
An essay written by Beau Friedlander, the last editor-in-chief of Air America before it shut down this year, was posted in the Politics section of the Huffington Post today with the title, $100,000 For Glenn Beck's Sex Tape.
Friedlander says he will not use his own money for the hit, but that he will "broker" the deal.
It is time to pop the tea baggers' favorite balloon (so what if it will be replaced by another?), and with that in mind I hereby offer to negotiate a $100,000 payday to the person who will come forward with a sex tape or phone records or anything else that succeeds in removing Glenn Beck from the public eye forever. I am not offering the cash myself, but I will broker the deal and/or raise the money for what you bring to the table. (And it better be good.)

Friedlander couches his offer in the context of Andrew Breitbart's offer of $100,000 for the Journolist listserve messages, but this is more in line with pornographer Larry Flynt's blackmail campaign against Congressmen during Bill Clinton's impeachment, which followed a threat from Clinton conveyed by George Stephanopoulos to expose their sex lives.
Likewise, the Huffington Post has ties to the Obama White House, raising the question of whether the White House is behind this targeting of Beck.

There’s nothing new in this offer. Lefties have been in the “market” since that drooling POS Flynt posted HIS “reward”.
These are incredibly evil people. If they cannot produce proof, they will make stuff up, start “whispering campaigns”, and start rumors.
Evil.
You know, they must be awfully damsure that they’ll get full cover from the administration and the rest of the media to be so brazen in this “offer.”

The idiots who read the Huffington Compost wouldn’t know what sex looks like anyway. Look at them with their miserable lives, they probably have never gotten laid. They are jealous because Glenn is happily married, has great kids, meanwhile liberals dont have a life, live in their mama’s basements, and sit at home waiting for their welfare checks to come

They’ve been reading Saul Alinksy, it seems....and they are desperate:

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.
I don’t know how much of this nonsense is intentional Alinsky methods, and how much is just their juvenile knee-jerk reaction to people they don’t agree with.
Saturday’s event was about as apolitical as an event could be.
As for Conservatism, there were folks making presentations regarding the U. S. still needing to end racism. How rabidly right wing was that?
So what you had here was a radio and television talk show host trying to urge folks to return to God. Yes, that was his crime. He urged folks to rededicate themselves to God, and support worthwhile non-profit organizations.
For this, the Left can’t leave any stone unturned to destroy him.
The Left is Satan incarnate. It’s just undeniable how evil they have become.
Those that trash the Tea Party or Beck for the ‘political event’ on Saturday, know nothing about it. They didn’t watch and are only being lied to about what it’s emphasis was.
In turn they are doing their best to destroy the man and the cause, both very worthwhile entities, even from a supposed honest Democrat vantage point.
Beck referenced the truth that Democrats participated in the presentations on Saturday. How inconvenient is that for today’s rabid Marxists.
