Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) on Thursday pushed back on criticism to the budget agreement reached with Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.), saying he wants Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) to "read the deal and get back to me."
In a post on Breitbart.com on Wednesday, Rubio wrote that the deal would continue to make it harder for Americans to achieve the American dream.
Ryan was asked on MSNBCs Morning Joeon Thursday what he would say to Rubio.
Read the deal and get back to me, Ryan said.
Rubio was one of the first lawmakers to express opposition to the budget, even before Ryan sealed the deal with Murray on Tuesday.

I like that there is NO income tax increase in this deal.
Also the unemployment benefits are not extended to infinity.
Of course I do not like there is no spending cuts.
Right now, GOP is the minority in senate and Rats own the White House Executive power. Gop is in no position to dictate deals. Losers in elections have no power.
I don’t get it; I thought that “the Sequester” was already the law of the land and laid out spending for 2014. Ryan has to come to an agreement with the Democrats to increase spending in 2014 by 45 billion dollars and we need to think that is a GOOD THING? WTF
And so whom does that leave us after various litmus tests are applied?
Nobody. You never trust anyone, you always hold their feet to the fire and expect them to lie to you.
FIRST ONE MUST WIN ELECTIONS! ONLY THEN YOUR AGENDA HAS A CHANCE.
Aask losers Romney, Mourdock, O'Donnell, Akin, Angle etc. how much power they have to change any laws or make deals.
We have to take back the Senate in 2014 and the White House in 2016. Any ideas?
Exactly the point made this morning.
You can’t piss off your base in order to win elections. The GOP is toast.
What arrogance.
Why? Isnt this really a false choice - either do the deal or we have a shutdown? Why cant the Republicans just offer up a clean CR for another year and let the Dems do what they will? They could accept it or choose to shut down the government. If they do shut down the government (not a certain thing), what makes anyone think that the public will react like they did in October before they realized that Cruz was right and Obama and the Dems lied to them? I think that the House RINOs that keep repeating this statement (Without this deal, there will be another shutdown) are just a bunch of Dems lite that do not have a spine and cant see that the world has changed considerably since O and the Dems were proven to be liars. Oh, and no amount of media propaganda will change the fact that real people have had real increases in their insurance and losses of coverage because of these lies. This is a time for offense, not prevent defense, in my book. Unfortunately the Rs lack real leadership.
But, you can concentrate on things that matter to you and work for that agenda.
As a whole, I think the GOP gave up the 'populist' type agenda years ago, and that has costs them.
Trade reciprocity
No more bailouts
Immigration enforcement
No more picking winners, no more tax breaks for certain types of business; have lower rates for everyone
Cut spending. Cut Spending.
Cut the budget.
and winning with liberal GOPe’s gets us what?
:p
Okay, I'll play. What agenda is being advanced here?
We conservatives cannot accomplish any of these worthwhile objectives without control of both houses of Congress and the White House. That should be the objective over the next three years.
“We conservatives cannot accomplish any of these worthwhile objectives without control of both houses of Congress and the White House. That should be the objective over the next three years.”
Sure, but do we lay down our principles along the way? Will the next mantra be, “it’s a bad immigration deal, but we have to fccus othe next election?”
“You cant piss off your base in order to win elections. The GOP is toast.”
True, but in many states, unfortunately, conservative candidates cannot win with support only from the base.
Do you ANY senator that read the bill? THAT'S what I am talking about.
