Listers, on the Solemnity of St. Joseph 2013 His Holiness Pope Francis celebrated his inauguration to the Petrine Ministry. In his expected style, Pope Francis charmed the crowd by stopping the popemobile to kiss a baby and bless a handicapped man. His Holiness homily spoke of the poor and weakest amongst us to the delegations from over 130 countries and hundreds of thousands of people. Everyone described their experience of the papal inauguration as a joyous experience. Well, almost everyone.
Vice President Joe Biden in the crowd at the Papal Inaugural Mass 2013.
Listers, we post these in good nature and simple fun. If you have a caption you think is good add it to the comment box and it may become a meme! Weve posted more memes and photos of Pope Francis at 30 Memes and Photos to Love and Share and some of his more notable quotes as a Cardinal at Quotes from Cardinal Bergoglio on 7 Moral Topics. Cheers.

Thank you for the link to the 7 memes. All of them very, very revealing about the Pope’s intentions. I loved the last one in particular...
To those who are now promising to fix all your problems, I say, Go and fix yourself. . . . Have a change of heart. Get to confession, before you need it even more! The current crisis will not be improved by magicians from outside the country and nor will [improvement] come from the golden mouth of our politicians, so accustomed to making incredible promises

"I would have really been impressed had Pope Francis excommunicated both Obiden and Pelosi . . . "
and even more impressed if he'd have excommunicated everyone that's in the Jack Ass party they rode in on as well.

Back in the early 60’s, many conservative Americans were concerned that Kennedy’s election would mean the Pope would meddle in American politics.
Nowadays, conservative Americans are concerned that the Pope isn’t meddling in American politics.
The church holds that abortion supporters have already excommunicated themselves. To do so publicly would essentially be a political act.

Fine. Upholding Canon Law is not a political act, deny the scum communion because they've excommunicated themselves instead of acting like obeying Canon Law when the Sacrament of Eucharist is celebrated is cause for a "diplomatic incident" which is what political acts are called.
If, on the other hand, that's a political act as well, then since it's damned if you do damned if you don't very openly excommunicate them and stop pretending that anything the Church does will be portrayed as a political act by those who sacrifice human infants on the alter of politics. Call them out for sacrificing infants on the alter of their god and be done with it and God will take care of His Church.

Oh...I agree; apostates like Pelosi and Biden, et al, should be publically excommunicated and certainly denied the Eucharist. My remark was only directed toward those who once complained and voiced their fears that the Church would insinuate itself into American politics, and now insist that it does.
The Church should exile the pro-aborts, but do so in order to remain true to its teachings and not to satisfy non-Catholic (or Catholic) political conservatives. Non-Catholics who complain that the likes of Pelosi and Biden haven't been openly excommunicated base their objections in the politics of the matter and not the Theology.

I see. I misunderstood what you were saying as advocating that position, sorry.
I think the Church should post in every parish everyone from Prince to Pauper who has been excommunicated, has excommunicated themselves by their public actions, or is otherwise ineligible to receive communion. When everyone is on the list it's not singling out politicians and it helps everyone keep the Sacrament Holy by being aware of those who should not be presenting themselves.
That may tick off a lot of people but when there's a war going on a lot of what has to be done ticks off people who want to ignore the war. It's all well and good to say that's between God and the individual, but if that's actually the case than Canon 915 is absurd on it's face.
