Logan’s Miracle Room

Welcome to Logan’s Miracle Room.

We were all a part of this miracle through our prayers for his healing, and we thank God for the blessing received from being chosen to be a part of Logan’s life.

We ask that you come forth with your sick little ones and loved ones.
Tell us about the sickness, and your grief and your sorrow and your dread for tomorrow.
We understand.
We’ve been there, too.
Join with us and experience the power of prayer.
With God, all things are possible.

Thanks, tiki!

I know the family will appreciate this.
The doctors are very closed mouth about this disease.

I will tell the family that a lot of people they don't know are praying for this young man.
I'll tell them where to look for us.

May God bless you bountifully.

Our prayers are being said for this young man and his family TC.

With all of our prayers, and the medicine available today, this young man will pull this... We've seen so miracles by the goodness of God and the power of all of us who pray for one another. We will now pray for another one.

Our love to this family and their good friend...

Sorry -- I don't know where to look for you. I missed the thread. Keep trying -- good luck! I hope your friend's illness is not as serious as it sounds. Miracles do happen, too; Logan is a prime example.

Dear Lord, I pray with others on this thread that TexasCowboy's young friend is now healing from the disease that attacked his bloodstream. May every artery, vein, and tiny capillary be free from all traces of this condition; may he be filled with the light of the Holy Spirit and remain in radiant good heath all of his days. May his family and friends rest secure, knowing that their prayers are being answered. In Jesus'' name I pray.

Thank you, PW and all, for your prayers.
I just got in from Oklahoma, and I can't get in touch with my friend. I suppose she's at the hospital.
I'll post an update as soon as I know.

JP, I would think that the doctors treating our troops are aware of the problem.
It seems to stem from our overuse of antibiotics here in the United States. The germs are outrunning our advances in antibiotic research.
Like I've always told mothers, the child doesn't need antibiotics just because he or she has a runny nose.

See below update from sausageseller about his son Dustin.

_____________________________________________
Dustin has been very weak the last four days. Chemo since the second week of Sept. has taken its toll on his body. The doctors and nurses have warned us this was coming. Yet it is very hard to watch.
Sissy is feeling the pressure too. He needs almost constant care and we have a 20month old litte girl also a 16 and 18 yr. old girls. She also went back to her part time job several months ago. And this has created a lot of pressure now. It involves home work time and she is having a hard time fitting it all in.
We covet your prayers. And again thank you so much for your concern. ( Post it if you like)

Latest update from Starter, by starter who's mother, Cheryl was struck by a car on Dec. 18th

Sorry for the delayed reply. I haven't been checking my Freepmail. And I've started over on this e-mail several times, so it may be a bit disjointed as well.

Short answer: She's doing much, much better. She's no longer at death's door, and the neurologist's assertion that she was brain dead has been proven to be quite wrong.

Slightly longer answer:
I've tried writing out a blow by blow of what happened, but I think a Cliff Notes version might be better, so here goes: We changed doctors and treament, since we were rather dissatisfied with the original doctor's care. Since that time, she's out of her coma (which was induced by the doctors in the first place, to help her heal, so that's not terribly surprising.) She's begun to breathe on her own again, although she still needs the respirator for most of the day, and she still has a trache in her throat. More impressively, she's regained conciousness and, over the weekend, began talking again. (Although with the tube in her throat, it's hard to understand her.) She also shows no signs of paralysis and even the cast on her arm has been removed. (The original docs not only misdiagnosed the brain death, they somehow misdiagnosed a broken arm as well. Sigh.)

There's still a long way to go for her. But she's making a lot of progress.

Extend my thanks to all those praying for her and feel free to forward this message to them.

From a FReepmail I received from Starwise.
______________________________________________________

Hi dear ones,

Asking kindly that you add a classly lady buddy of mine to your prayer lists for me. She is so strong and brave, making you own way in her own design business since she lost her husband, and now it has been confirmed that she has myelofibrosis, a pretty much fatal disease of the bone marrow .. it becomes scarred over and doesn't produce red blood cells.

It is SO sad .. because she has been struggling for quite awhile to make her way and establish herself, driving herself across country to trade shows, etc. and make sure her adult retarded daughter is well and and provided for.

I told her no one can say when a life is over .. and I believe that, and pray for her strength and healing. She is already dealing with great discomfort from an enlarged spleen and kidney. She is starting to make plans to get her daughter provided for and put her affairs in order. God bless her and provide merciful healing .. and thank you both for your dear hearts.

I'm pretty stunned and saddened .. she's in her mid-50's, very attractive .. and VERY brave.

Star

FRom an e-mail I received from nerdDad about John Dillon who's FReeper son FReeper Clarinet_King had brain surgery.
__________________________________________
Thanks so much for your prayers.

Matt(FReeper Clarinet_King) is doing wonderfully.
(Gosh I hope I posted something on the thread about it.
Maybe I only did private mail?? Now, I'm embarrassed.)

He had to spend a day longer in the hospital because of
a fever but has not looked back since.

He and I were able to go to the Liberty Bowl and he was
able to participate in the halftime show with the USM
band but did not play his horn. He returned to school
after the Christmas break and is buried in his classes
again.

He is still having trouble playing because of the
pressure that puts upward into the sinus and brain area
but that will come with just a little more time.

We appreciate all the folks prayers over at the Miracle
Room. We firmly believe that yall's prayers and those of
our many friends have made a huge difference in how
easily he handled the surgery and his quick recovery.

Please pass on the news to the prayer warriors. And
thanks again.
