President Bush: "We are dealing with one of the worst national disasters in our nation's history." Push has appropriated vast federal resources to assist with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

78,000 people are currently in shelters. New Orleans evacuation continues. 10,000 additional National Guard troops have been called to service.

Hospitals are running low on supplies, and public health concerns include water borne disease, poor sanitation, food and drinking water contamination and shortages, mosquitoes, carbon monixide poisoning from electricity generators, lack of childcare, and the special needs of the elderly.

Senator Landieu is not the brightest bulb in the closet socket.

These feel good (Can't We All Just Get Along)pacifists blame America first Democrat politicians are not getting the job done down in Louisiana.

Bob Livingston a Democrat politician from Louisiana said last night that the Democrats in charge of Louisiana and New Orleans will have lots of tough questions to answer in the near future.

I'm sure the likes of those weak creeps such as HowWeird Deaniac, Georgie Boy Sor@$$, Murdering Teddy Kennedy, Babbling Boxero, Nancy Polutesy are chomping at the bit to throw Democratic turds into the fan.

I have no respect for Democrats and little patience with their stupid whinning.

Isn't it special how when Democrat screw the pooch on a local level (Florida election fiasco and this)the blame has to be deflected onto Pres. Bush?

I have been extremely frustrated with the way this has played out and think whatever their plan was was extremely short-sighted. But we need to focus our ire on those most directly responsible: local and state authorities who failed their citizens miserably.

Good God - I may have to stay away from the TV & computer today.... I was a student at Kent State when Gov Rhodes sent in the NG - guess I'm dating myself - this whole situation feels just as surreal as that day did.

Ah well. I spend enough time on the net--it's a priority and Dad pays for it so Praise The Lord!

Really helpful when counseling former students in Taipei as well as someone else in the USA all on MSN plus FREEPING several threads plus email plus XCell for class etc.

Gets silly sometimes.

I can't remember who was doing the Shep bashing earlier in the thread - saying that all he had to do was tell those people on the highway to go get help from the staging center below I10 near the SD but he wouldn't cuz he wanted the images and the "story" - but I believe they are wrong.
I saw a repeat of where Fox tossed to the female reporter - Anita Vogel - and she said she was below I10 in Jeff. parish, just outside of the city. People were spread out over the grass - and were getting food and water there.
Idon't know how far this would be from Shep's location.

Ok this is a stupid question but just more a fear I guess. One would hope this anarchy doesn't spread...Ok I threw it out there...Someone calm me down

I am sitting here wondering if I should make sure my daughter has a 9mm. "Worst case" could be very ugly across this country. Praying that respected leadership within individual communities clearly speak out against lawlessness.

Lord, God, please send your angelic forces to protect and guide the forces of good and to neutralize the forces of evil there and in the whole area.

May all evil hearted souls be isolated and neutralized in the fullest, fiercest ways until that spirit and activity is thoroughly snuffed out.

If there are evil forces deliberately trying to wind the terror and chaos up for traitorous reasons, please neutralize them in very terminal ways soonest.

In Jesus' Name.
