Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

One of the top 5 posts of the day...this really nails our former Freepmates to the tee:

“Some of those who were zotted didn’t start out as trolls/moles. At least not intentionally. They signed on early, as devout Republicans. They have remained loyal to the party, as they see it. They never had conservative values to begin with. I think it’s been quite a shock to them that the new direction (left) that they’re trying to steer the party, isn’t acceptable here. I think they really believe their plan to liberalize the Republican Party is necessary to save it, and they just can’t understand why conservatives won’t jump on the bandwagon. They have no concept of core values. They honestly believe that party loyalty is a core value. It’s sad.”

I would carry it one step further and state that a few “top cadre” did figure it out and have encouraged some coordinated anti conservative ambushes.

Well, Mia T doesn’t think this way. I know it as a fact. She only wants to help.

In the video on Mia’s old thread to the RR, Bill Clinton is talking about “fundamentalism.”

As best as I can recall, Clinton says the Religious Right is like the islamofascist terrorists because they both believe they have the absolute truth and are intolerant. He goes on to imply that like the islamofascist terrorists, the RR would kill anyone who did not agree with their idea of the truth. And you could hear the hatred of the RR in Clinton’s voice. That thread is worth a look and listen.

You'll only be happy when your 'true conservatives' are less than 1% of the population and republicans lose in every general race.

Wrong. I'll be happy when Republicans are acting conservatively again...because that's when they will win, and that's when we will actually make progress in restoring and defending the principles that underlie our free republic.

Just because Giuliani served in two presidentially nominated positions doesn’t mean that Reagan personally chose him. The only thing we know for a fact is that Reagan signed off on his nominations.

"Right now you could be right. This is becoming the antithesis of a place of liberty and freedom, a place where we can fight government corruption."

Uh, who do you support in this race? With your stated zeal and apparent enthusiasm for Liberty, freedom and clean government, it can't possibly be Giuliani.

What is this little troll republic you speak of? What is “WA”? Either I’ve been napping or I wasn’t on the list of invitees!!! Could it be because I’m “too conservative?”

What happened to you in Arizona is also happening in other States. It's not productive to run on divisive issues! It affects party support.

This is how I view it. So I suppose you can look at the same thing in two different ways. You see it as a betrayal, and I see it as a political mistake that caused a backlash that affected the party and the future for that matter.

Now I see the answer being proffered is to do more of the same, only with more emphasis!

So you see, this causes me a great deal of heartburn, but they make pill for that, as I have discovered.

I’ve been listening to that stuff since 1980, when the “religious right” and the “new right’ were first invented as bugaboos. Richard Viguerie, Paul Weyrich, Jerry Falwell, and Pat Robertson were presented as the enemies of freedom. Ronald Reagan was viewed as their evil king.

Bill and Hillary Clinton represent a vast empire of wickedness funded by the foundations and George Soros. They wouldn’t recognize genuine Christianity if it kissed them, and most genuine Christians don’t want to run for office anyway.

I know hatred when I hear it, and the Clintons’ controversy isn’t with me or you, but with a far higher authority.

I’ve stated continually that I intend to vote for DH, unless FDT gets in the race. Do you only read the crap that directed at you? I’ve also stated that if RG is the victor in the primaries I will vote for him in the general, stomach turning though it may be.
