Rinos are not really big tent party people. They are vindictive liberals and that is the only way to deal with them. Wipe them out of power. I can’t be a Republican voting for liberals. If I were a liberal I would be a Democrat.

We took out DeeDee and that was the number one goal. It would have been nice if Hoffman had won, but that was not the number one priority. Taking out a left wing Rino was the number one priority. We will take out others too. With Steele in charge of the GOP, they are going to lose more seats to Democrats because they are going to keep throwing Rinos in our faces and they are going to keep losing until Steele is replaced with a conservative who knows how to lead and deal with Rinos.

Wait til South Carolina gets a wiff of Graham’s jihadists Obama is bringing to South Carolina at Graham’s behest! We need to run third party against him for sure. It we need to run third party against Snowe and Collins, too. And then there is McCain...

Yeah he sure is brain dead. Brain dead enough to build a net worth in the multi-millions., a CPA practice, and own various real estate development projects that his children and he manages. Yeah, he’s an idiot.

Steele is not in charge. Romney, Rove and rove’s trained beta-males are. Fox news will now trumpet the wonderfulness of Bob McDonnell, about how he offended no independents and moderates and how smart those who ran his campaign are(all romney staffed /rove trained.) And they will blame Palin for NY23. It will be the lead on all the fox news teleprompter readers for Wednesday.

Considering Hoffman only entered the race a month ago, that he is a political novice and that he was representing a party with little or no infrastructure, he did damn well.

I hope those idiotic pubs who chose scuzzy over Hoffman or one of the other potential candidates learned their lesson and that others with the same penchant took notice.

I figure the pub party has next year as their last chance to hang onto the base. If they don’t get the message, they will know nothing but darkness for the rest of their political days, which will definitely be numbered. I think most are willing to work with them, but we’ve supported them long enough. They need to make a major move in our direction or prepare themselves for oblivion.

Obama can point to NY-23 as a reason to pass immediately his “health care” bill. He can say VA and NJ were about state matters, but when it comes to his socialist program, NY proves the American people are on board ad infinitum. People do want these unfree “free” things.

In retrospect, Newton Gingrich may have been partially right about NY-23, when he said it would never vote conservative. People there are not hard-core leftists, but they have been conditioned to see government as the first path to “solving” many “non-problems”.

I disagree. VA and NJ were about jobs and taxes. That means “NO” on socialized health care and its behemoth price tag.

I really don’t read the NY-23 race that way, either. Hoffman may have been more conservatives than that district wants, but Hoffman was only in the race a month. He didn’t have the time or money to put forward a forceful, effective campaign. He got stabbed in the back by the pubs. The Conservative Party has little or no infrastructure to put on a good ground game. I think it’s remarkable that he came within 3 pts. of Owens. There will be another race in a year. If Owens gets forced by Pelosi and Hoyer into some bad votes, the pubs could easily regain it. Meanwhile, a strong message was sent to the pub party leaders. This race may well eventually serve to move the pub party right and unite conservatives and moderates under a more conservative umbrella.

I appreciate Hoffman’s effort. I think he’s a good man and I think the voters in NY-23 know that. This was no help to zero or his atrocious bills.

Lindsey and McCain have been pushing for Zero to close GITMO and bring the jihadists captured during the war to the United States. I read an article yesterday that Zero decided to put the jihadists on a base in South Carolina.

Right. Steele is a push over for loser Rinos. We need a new RNC head that is a leader of Republican ideas which appeal to the majority of the base - not a vapid pushover or a tool for Rinos who now have the party in a minority status in both houses of Congress and have permitted a Marxist to get into the white house due to their incompetence.

I don’t care how the Rinos spin picking a liberal democrat to run as a Republican in New York and getting her bottom handed to her. The fact is, the largest group in this country is conservative and we do not need two Marxist friendly political parties. No matter how they spin, they got the message that they are going to lose with Rinos - even in New York.

If the GOP wants to pretend whatever - they can go ahead and do it on Fox or wherever. It does not change reality that they totally screwed up and they don’t have the power to push Liberals into GOP power. Not only that, when the GOP runs Rinos, they know now that they face a third party challenge so it is their choice if the GOP will exist as a major political party or if it will exist as a weak imitation of the Democrat Party with another party of anti-corruption, reform and freedom.

Although I was a Republican and would prefer the party represent conservative reform and constitutional ideals, I am more attached to conservative reform and the constitution than I am to the Republican party.

I liked Hoffman he seemed like a first class guy. But, he was anything but a charismatic candidate which could possibly have won 23.

Look at CNN, Fox, NY Times, MSNBC online.

They ALL say this was a big defeat for the Dems.

They dont’ even MENTION NY-23 in their main stories.

Frankly, this was a huge defeat for Obama and even they know it.

Great night even with NY-23.

You are right about Hoffman’s non-sex appeal. But he is the best we had and way above scuzzy from a conservative point of view. He beat scuzzy within the GOP and that matters a lot in the end because it sends the Rinos a message that they may be in control of the party by it is a losing control.

Yeah I agree.

Thanks to Sarah and other noted conservatives we sent the RNC a message they won't soon forget. And when they do we will keep reminding them.

I often use the phrase we have to keep waterboarding them until they get it.
