Free Republic | 6-8-2010 | None

Posted on 06/08/2010 8:16:24 AM PDT by RKBA Democrat

I didn't see a live thread started, so I figured I'd go ahead and post one.

A big primary day. I believe it's 12 states including the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Haley will clean Sheheen’s (The Dim nominee)clock. SC has grown to love Haley thanks to Palin and the Tea Parties support.

I understand your frustration. It’s hard to get good, honest people to participate in politics. First of all, they can usually earn tons more money in the private sector. But many times, they simply won’t put their families through the stress, scrutiny and mud-slinging of a campaign.

Additionally, open primaries often skew the results in favor of dems or RINO’s. And the RNC isn’t smart enough to button up this fraud-laden practice, apparently.

If those numbers hold up, the 2nd place person will likely drop out rather than waste the next month fighting the inevitable.

I want Blanche to go down in flames.

So do I but so far she has a slight lead with 4% of the votes counted.

Hurrah! Hurrah!
The nation’s risin’
For Henry Clay
And Frelinghuysen!

Had they managed to carry NY (which they lost by 1%, in part due James Birney of the Liberty Party getting over 3%), Clay and Frelinghuysen would have been elected President and VP.

no, Lee is the tea party candidate. Gowdy is the GOP establishment candidate that they got behind because they knew Inglis was going down.

Although I think Lincoln would lose in the general election, Halter would probably lose bigger. He’s much more liberal than Lincoln and Lincoln had to do a great acting job pretending she was conservative enough for AR. This seat should go GOP no matter which one of the libs wins.

I wish that VA had run-offs if no one got 50%+1 (or at least 40%+1 as in NC) in primaries. Heck, I wish every state had primary run-offs.
