Police find cocaine on Florida Governor Bush's daughter By MIKE BRANOM Associated Press Writer ORLANDO -- Gov. Jeb Bush's daughter was found with cocaine at a rehabilitation center where she is undergoing drug treatment, police said Tuesday.
Police were called to the Center for Drug Free Living in Orlando late Monday, where workers gave them a substance they said they found on Noelle Bush, 25, Police Sgt. Orlando Rolon said.
The workers told police that the two grams of powder tested positive for cocaine, but police didn't immediately arrest her because they couldn't obtain a sworn statement that she was in possession of cocaine, Rolon said.
The investigation will continue, said Rolon, who added that police hadn't interviewed Noelle Bush as of Tuesday morning.
Possession of any amount of cocaine is a felony, said police.
She was arrested in January at a Tallahassee pharmacy drive-through window for allegedly trying to buy the anti-anxiety drug Xanax with a fraudulent prescription.
In July, Noelle Bush was found to be in contempt of court because a worker at the treatment center found her carrying prescription pills. A judge sent her to jail for three days.
Won't be the last before November. This is what they do.
Exactly. You nailed it, Tallhappy, as always.
Welcome to the world where asking for prayers for others in need is a hate crime.
BTW, what is that line and verse in the Bible since you have become a Bible scholar all of the sudden.
JMO, but I don't think that God would condemn a person asking for prayers of those in need.
You got it. "A Marxist/DemocRAT planted it on her", was my FIRST thought when I read the "story".
Here's your Bible cite:
Matthew 6:5
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.Matthew 6:6
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.Matthew 6:7
But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen [do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
All true.
Makes her great fodder for the Democrat dirty tricksters.
Ask in church, not as a political statement on the internet in order to glorify yourself. You penance is not up to me. It's not too late to ask forgiveness, hit your knees and change your ways.
I guess I shouldn't ask for prayers for a cancer patient either according to your book.
Opps, another lie. Back to your knees.
You are one bitter person aren't you. The vitriol shows it.
I expose liars, you can mischaracterize that just as you do most other things. You are the king of vitirol.
Certainly. It would be immediate and controlled. Which is the most suspicious part; this would trigger an immediate pee-test. The coke can be tested on the spot, however, and it will be up to her to prove her innocence to keep from being removed to a cell. That is how it works. That is why she went to jail for posession the last time.
No one is swearing an affidavit for one of two reasons; either procedure is preventing it, or no one wants any skeletons uncovered.
It depends... By virtue of being in rehab, they can drug test you at any time for medical purposes. The workers there are private citizens and do not act in a law enforcement capacity.
HOWEVER, those tests cannot be used as evidence of a crime because your 5th ammendment rights have not been respected.
Furthermore, once charged with 'possession', you cannot be compelled to provide evidence of use against yourself.
There is no way she can be charged with possession without the sworn affidavits of the workers--and even then, a lawyer would get that thrown out based on the shaky 'chain of custody' of the evidence.
There is no case here. It's laughable and I suspect a political dirty trick. This case would be the same as if I called the cops and said: "Diddle E. Squat had some white powder that I tested as cocaine--go arrest him."
You should be consistent at least.
Yeah, me too. She was innocently on her way to the drive through at the Beer Barn, but accidentally stopped at Right Aid and some lefty stuffed a fake prescription for Xanax in her hand.
Don't worry. The plot to ruin her reputation will be exposed and she'll be spared. She's clearly not one of "those" people, you know, brown of skin and poor, and who deserve to be in prison for years for being drug scum.
per reply #151.
Not necessarily. If she had just obtained it, and hadn't had a chance to consume it yet, it could look like a plant when it isn't.
Is it possible drugs were planted? Yes. But she is at this point, not above reproach. Is it also possible she got the drugs with the intension of using them? Yes.
Oh well, to answer your question. When it comes to the issue of drug legalization, yes, I get the sense that the pro-dope crowd does not want the government involved at all. That government is evil (knocking down doors, confiscating property, mandatory sentencing, etc.), that drugs are none of government's interest or business, and that government should get out of the way. Do I read the responses correctly? Is that not the definition of anarchy?
But to call those on the opposite side of the argument statists, that's perfectly fine with you. I have seen more reasoned responses from that side of the argument than I'll ever see from the pro-dope side. Things like support of medical marijuana, decriminalization, support of the tenth amendment and states rights, etc.
What do I hear from the pro-dope side? "Get the government out of my life". Read the responses yourself, that's where I get my info.
Yeah, but the results of that test cannot be used as evidence of a crime because that would violate her right against self-incrimination.
They found 'coke'. She's now suspected of possession--she's now a suspect and her protection against self-incrimination kicks in and the result of any coerced drug test is not admissable.
This whole think stinks. I think it is a crock and I would say the same thing if this were any democrats daughter or anybody...
