The Clinton Legacy Cookbook

The only item to escape the Clinton Administration
without DNA on it!

August 27 2000, I posted a simple Thread. That was the beginning of an adventure that has lasted all of these months.

A fun and fanciful look at the world of great food and witty politics expertly blended by renowned master Chef Carlo Morelli!  This 272 page collection of favorite recipes, hilarious cartoons, and whimsical humor is a true recipe for sidesplitting and tummybustin' fun. In gratitude to the collaborative effort of over 200 Freeper contributors, proceeds from the sale of this venture will advance the heroic efforts of the FreeRepublic.com.

Among Chef Carlo's accomplishments, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Empire Cruise Lines, and the site coordinator and Chief of Protocol of the Southern Governors Conference.  He owned or managed over 56 restaurants and hotels, including Houston's world renowned, four-star French restaurant Le Pavillon ; Élan, the award-winning chain of 14 private clubs with nationwide locations; The Cowboy Club, with locations in Houston, Dallas, and Memphis; Cadillac Bar in Houston; and the Rice Rittenhouse Hotel Houston, Continental Plaza Chicago, Century Plaza Hotel Beverly Hills, Crown Center Hotel Kansas City, Houston Oaks Westin....... more

I too just received my Clinton Legacy Cookbook and couldn't be happier. It is one hilarious work of art, a tribute to Free Republic, and chocked full of wonderful-sounding recipes (not to mention a hugh undertaking). Thank you and all involved with this masterpiece!

I've decided to add Clinton Tails (lobster by otterpond) and Fettuccine al FReepin Fredo (your recipe) to our Christmas dinner menu as mountain oysters aren't in season here right now. I cannot wait to attempt Phantom Lord's pork pot stickers and many other fabulous concoctions sometime over the holidays as well.

A work of art! Thank you sir!

My copy arrived yesterday and it's so well done that I am going to give it away as a Christmas present to a close friend. I only wish that I had ordered more copies to give as presents. You can expect an order from me today as I now need one for myself.

I also received mine yesterday. Unfortuanately it was just before I had to go to work, so I didn't get to read it until late last night. I read until my eyes couldn't focus anymore...LOL

Carlo...it's a masterpiece! It's put together superbly. It captures the wit and wisdom of Freepers perfectly. The recipes alone would make this worth double the price! Add the Freeper humor and it's a steal (sorry Hillery, that's just a figure of speech...you'll have to pay for it just like everyone else!)

Christie...Excellent layout! The recipes are easy to read and the comments in the margin add to the flavor. How you managed to squeeze so much onto each page and still have the type large enough to read is mystery the historians will be trying to solve in the future...(shhhh...don't tell 'em...let 'em figger it out on their own.)

Firebrand...You had the monumental task of editing this work of art. You truely have a gift from God and a lot of patience. I applaud you!!

Howie...The front cover is beautiful. It definately captures the spirit of the book! Your cartoons throughout are hillaryous (Ha!). My personal favorite is the Bill and Hillary vultures.

Billie...I still remember working on that Clinton retirement pad...that was fun. You always do great work!

This is a cookbook that will get a lot of use in my kitchen. I only worry about soiling the pages while I'm cooking (I can be such a messy cook...LOL). I may have to purchase another and save this one as a family heirloom.

Those are yours?? Whoo hoo...you're famous!!

Ha, ha, ha, I don't believe it
Da, da, ah, ooh, don't touch me
Hey, Ray!
Hey, Sugar!
Tell them who we are .....

Well, we're big time Freepers
We've got recipe keepers
And we're loved everywhere we go (that sounds like us)
We write about justice and we write about truth
For ten-thousand dollars a post (right)
We take all kind of stabs and give all kind of jabs
But the jab that'll make 'em look
Is the jab of total glee when you get your recipe
On the cover of the Clinton book

(Clinton book) Wanna see my recipe on the cover
(Book)Wanna buy five copies for my mother (yeah)
(Book)Wanna see my Liver Paté
On the cover of the Clinton Legacy (that's a very, very, good idea)

It's a work in progress...

Gee, he looks just like a bumbling idiot!

Hey, Howie, now that the book is out, do you think the Arkancide squad will be after us for the Hisses and Booze? If Hitlery runs for President, you can put that pic on a T-shirt.
