Prediction: IF Trump’s account is cancelled by Twitter, some other similar service will IMMEDIATELY arise worldwide, Trump will take his messaging to that service, and it will be an immediate success due to ALL his followers flocking to that service. Twitter will hurt greatly as a result.
Modify that “Let the name 0bama be stricken ...” just a little somehow such that we have a clearly seen morsel of his shameful legacy that demonstrates for all time how terrible it is to put in office someone who hates the United States and its history.
IF I understand the CRA (Congressional Review Act) properly, Trump ought to submit Obama’s transgender order to Congress for approval, and have them strike it down (by majority votes). I believe that if Congress reviews a regulation or rule manufactured by executive order, or any other executive branch department, and overrules it, that the executive branch is barred evermore from submitting any regulation that is substantially similar. That would assure it is with the states, unless Congress makes law concerning that subject.
Such action would bar a new president from simply reversing the Trump orders.
Of course, I am assuming that Congress would be able to get a majority of both houses to overturn Obama’s ...
I can envision a (rather large) cable controlled robot that could withstand this radiation flux for hours. However, I do not know of any camera, tube or Solid State technology, that would be worth a darn after a few minutes in that flux.
I am wondering why this study was “discredited”... on what basis? Sample selection, questions, methodology, other? If anyone has looked into why, I would appreciate a reply... I don’t have time right now to look into it.
“The Remittance Status Verification Act, introduced by then-Senator David Vitter (R-La.) in 2014 but never passed into law, would have fined senders of international cash transfers seven percent of the transfer amount if they could not show proof of status under U.S. immigration laws.”
Though well meaning, this Vitter proposal definitely would have the side effect mentioned in the last paragraph.
A simple 2%-5% federal fee on ALL such remittances would not do so, it seems to me.
Great run down of why I have been so disappointed about the GOP for many years, although I would say that started much earlier... that would go something like:
1996-99 - abandoning Mr.Newt’s successful ploy, “Contract with America”, for little reason.
2002-07 - squandering the 2001 patriotism by succumbing to the Demodogs’ and DinoMedia’s characterization of Bush43’s clear mind that we need to WIN the battle against radical Islamofascists as wrong-headed.
2006-07 - idiotic GOPe concepts for “comprehensive immigration reform” before definitely securing the border.
