Mind your manners, boys- hubby's a Navy SEAL Incidentally, Jenna Lee's brother plays NCAA football, and her father was NFL quarterback Bob Lee -a guy who appeared in two Super Bowls. And Jennifer Anne Lee married B. Leif Babin -a Navy SEAL officer- in early 2011. He left active duty soon afterward, but happens to be the very same officer who opined in theWall Street Journal that President Obama and senior members of his administration were revealing many damaging operational details of overseas military operations for political gain... Lyin' Ryan Is At It Again (Budget) By Karl Denninger (03/20/2012) These guys never quit. Ryan's "budget proposal" is out once again, just like last year. And just like last year he's lying again. Let's count the lies: Repeals President’s health care law; Advances bipartisan solutions that take power away from government bureaucrats and put patients in control; No disruption for those in or near retirement; Ensures a strengthened Medicare program for future generations, with less support given to the wealthy and more assistance for the poor and the sick Then Medicare still goes bankrupt. The fact of the matter...

2008: “I can make a firm pledge. Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.” --Candidate Barack Obama, Sept. 12, 2008 “No one making less than $250,000 under Barack Obama’s plan will see one single penny of their tax raised whether it’s their capital gains tax, their income tax, investment tax, any tax.” --Joe Biden, Vice-Presidential debate in St. Louis, Oct. 3, 2008 2012: “So if your family makes under $250,000 --...

Can you believe it's over? Wow! Let's take a look back at all the happenings since election 2012 and where we are today. The Mayans were about half right, if you think about it. December 2012 is when the recently defeated (by something of a landslide) Obama administration declared martial law, said they were nullifying the elections and appointing Barack Hussein Obama as "president-for-life" and regent of the new USSA until such time as the elections were "thoroughly" reviewed by the United Nations, the Organization of American States, the 57 member Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the European Union. Troops...

<p>It’s a bit of a homecoming for space-geek-turned-celebrity Ferdowsi, who earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington. But this time he’s coming for the ballet — not the aeronautical and astronautical engineering program.</p> <p>The Pacific Northwest Ballet just announced its orchestra will be performing sci-fi themes and celestially-themed classics to kick off its new season in September. They’re calling it a “futuristic space extravaganza of music, dance, video, song, and celebrities.” Yes, celebrities like “Mohawk Guy.”</p>

Someone on another thread mentioned that they didn't see "2016 Obama's America" listed on Fandango's website so I went to check for myself. Turns out it is there and seems to have been there since it's release. (They must have been searching locally and not nationwide.) I found it interesting to read through the reviews. I recommend looking through them to anyone who's interested. It's very entertaining to read the negative reviews and compare them to the positive ones.

Hi, Well I guess here we go again. Luckily, I drove my sister down last week to her beach house and we got to have some time talking alone (for a big change). She got very tired alot - had just finished her radiation for the cancer on her brain, so we figured it made her tired. (BTW, just as she was finishing radiation, she had to euthanize her German Shepherd. It's been that kind of month - there's even more to it than that, but suffice for now.) So today my mother calls me to say they took Barb...

Brewer is the Arizona empress who has now defied a directive from the Obama administration, whose easing of deportation rules took effect last week. The federal ruling allowed more than one million people to qualify for the temporary program, which enables certain younger illegal immigrants to apply for work permits, Society Security cards and driver’s licenses. Unless they live in Arizona. The almighty emperor Brewer says no way. ANd if she is breaking federal law, well, hey, she's the empress. Nobody tells her what to do. Last week, she signed an order barring illegal immigrants who qualify from getting any...
  • How immigration enforcement impacts children & families

What happens to children when their parents are deported? How do these deportations, now more numerous than ever, affect families and the communities in which they live? This report (see sidebar) looks at how immigration enforcement shapes family life in the United States, both among immigrant and mixed-status families, and in their wider communities. Even as the United States has failed to pass comprehensive immigration reform in the past decade, it has increasingly taken a hardline stance on immigration enforcement, particularly in targeting unauthorized immigrants living in the country. The number of immigrants removed has steadily risen, from close to...

Code Pink members attend We Are Woman rally in vagina costumes Mainstream media outlets struggling to find a tasteful way to cover the “Pussy Riot” protests in Russia have another challenge on their hands, this one much closer to home. Representatives of Code Pink (as identified by the poster of the image) attended today’s “We Are Woman” rally dressed as vaginas. This clearer photo identifies at least two of the vaginas as representatives of the Feminist Majority Foundation’s Feminist Campus project. The costumes did garner attention, if not necessarily respect.

Is Obama caught between a rock and a hard place? Many of us have speculated that he would do anything to get reelected. He would even have a war with Iran or N. Korea... but, maybe that is off the table. It would not help him with conservatives. We know he is bad and want him gone. It might help a little with moderates or independents, but it would hurt with a large chunk of his no war, noway base. I was fearful that he would get us in a huge international disaster before the election, but with each passing...

Question for fellow gun nuts: I have a lot of guns at my dad's place in Ohio. Rifles (.22, 30/30), shotguns(410, 12ga, 20ga), and pistols (.38, .44). No assault weapons. Here's the thing. I want to drive them back to Idaho at some point, but I just heard a news story about a guy that is being charged with "Transportation of Firearms Across State Lines". If I get pulled over, am I going to prison? I know, this sounds like a stupid question, but I would hate to go to prison for driving legal firearms across the country.

MOBILE, Alabama — Five men who were working at a Satsuma company are among 3,500 illegal immigrants across the country that law enforcement authorities contend obtained fake identification from a Missouri-based fraudulent documents ring. This morning, Werner Hernandez-Ramirez, 26, became the third local defendant to plead guilty in Mobile’s federal court to use of fraudulent documents. He is eligible for probation under advisory sentencing guidelines, and then will be turned over to immigration authorities, who have initiated proceedings to deport him to Guatemala for unrelated violations. “He was just trying to work,” defense attorney Greg Hughes said. “It’s a sad...

Joe Klein (author of "The Amateur")said his sources in the Clinton camp told him that Jarrett invited Hillary to lunch two weeks ago and asked her if she would accept the VP slot to replace Biden. Hillary refused to encourage an offer. Klein said that Bill and Jarrett (and it is assumed Michelle and Barry) were for it, but Hillary figured that if Obama lost, she would be finished and she wanted to preserve her options for 2016.
