But after shooting this rare albino moose near Belle Cote in Nova Scotia last week — and posting the pics to social media — the trio has sparked considerable outrage, particularly among the region's Mi'kmaq indigenous community. These guys breached a kind of unwritten code of conduct that has also upset many in the hunting community.

A man from Dryden and another from Fort Saskatchewan, Alta., have been fined a total of $2,500 after the Ministry of Natural Resources received complaints about boaters harassing a cow moose. Court heard that Dryden District conservation officers responded to public complaints on July 29 of people harassing a moose with their boat in Outlet Bay on Eagle Lake west of the city. Several witnesses provided evidence to the officers, including a video showing a boat circling a swimming moose.

Two cars collided on a road between Trollhättan and Vänersborg in western Sweden on Friday afternoon due to an elk having chosen the unusual spot to give birth to a calf. Ikea says it has withdrawn 17,000 portions of moose lasagna from its home furnishings stores in Europe after traces of pork were found in a batch tested in Belgium. Ikea spokeswoman Tina Kardum said the product had only been on sale for a month when it was pulled off the shelves on March 22.
