Brandeis University on Monday announced the suspension of its decade-old partnership with Al-Quds University following a recent Nazi-style rally at the Palestinian school in Jerusalem. At the Nov. 5 rally, Al-Quds students wore black military gear, carried fake automatic weapons, gave the Nazi salute, and surrounded the main square of their campus with banners depicting images of “martyred” suicide bombers. “While Brandeis has an unwavering commitment to open dialogue on difficult issues, we are also obliged to recognize intolerance when we see it, and we cannot—and will not—turn a blind eye to intolerance,” Brandeis said in a press release. “As...

**SNIP** Organizers had also hoped that seeing a large peaceful gathering of armed citizens in the downtown of the country's seventh largest city would be a step toward making people comfortable with the sight. There were people of all ages in the crowd, including young children. Some waved flags that read "Come and Take It," others dressed in period costumes, but most looked like anyone else one might encounter on the street, they just happened to be carrying rifles. Men strolling through the streets with rifles isn't an image to which Hilary Rand thinks people should have to grow accustomed....

The government shutdown the World War II memorial, now truckers are shutting down America. On October 1, the Obama administration closed the WWII memorial in DC, which was paid for with private funds to honor the country's most beloved veterans. One week later, the Administration allowed for an immigration reform rally to take place on the National Mall with hundreds of illegal immigrations in participation, just a few hundred feet away. The outrage caught national headlines and the National Park Service has since changed the wording on the signs around the memorial. Ride for the Constitution has sent their drivers...

Two Secret Service cruisers were blocking vehicular access to 17th below Constitution Avenue. I was late arriving and missed Sarah Palin, Mike Lee and Ted Cruz. According to one of the Shark Tank’s correspondent on the ground, ‘Special K,’ two police cruiser blocked entrance into WWII memorial, in an effort to stop truckers from arriving from the highway. Did you know that Pres. Lucifer closed the World War II Memorial in D.C., although the memorial had been built with private (not government) funds? Did you know, however, that illegals were allowed to demonstrate in the National Mall just a few feet away from the WWII Memorial, on Tuesday, Oct. 7 — notwithstanding the supposed government shutdown? Illegals at National Mall Here’s an update of the Truckers Ride For the Constitution movement: These are the demands of RideForTheConstitution.org: Our Constitutional demands are simple: We want our legislators to follow the law. WASHINGTON - Thousands of people converged on the World War II Memorial on the National Mall on Sunday morning and tore down the barricades blocking it off, protesting the closure of the memorial during the federal government shutdown. Beginning at about 9:30 a.m., Sens. Mike Lee, R-Utah, and Ted Cruz, R-Texas, as well as former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, were among the luminaries in a crowd that chanted "Tear down these walls!" and sang "God Bless America" as well as other patriotic songs as they entered the memorial, which has been closed since the government shutdown that began Oct. 1....

Rtightened his handcuffs. “I thought I’d be treated better ep. Charles Rangel (D-N.Y.) said police who arrested him Tuesday by the Capitol Police than I was,” Rangel said on FOX Business Network Friday. Rangel was one of several Democratic lawmakers arrested by U.S. Capitol Police at an immigration reform rally on the National Mall. “I think they were trying to help me, but the cuffs were so tight that when I said loosen up the cuffs — and I wasn’t cursing then — in an attempt to loosen it up, one of the rookie cops actually tightened it,” he said....

Please pardon the vanity! I just got home from an Overpasses for Obama's Impeachment rally in Latham, NY. This one was to support the truckers effort. WHAT A BLAST! Thousands of cars passed us and the majority of them honked, gave 'thumbs up' and/or waved encouragingly. A few people hollered 'THANKS!" We got a very few negative shouts and maybe 7 'thumbs down'. There were 6 of us, and 2 more people parked their car and joined us. How cool is that??? I swear to you as well, a few black guys walked past us at different times and they...

Veterans first fought America’s wars, then they fought the National Park Service over White House-ordered closures of war memorials because of the partial shutdown of the federal government. Now they’re developing a response to President Obama’s “war” against them: A rally. The Million Vet March on the Memorials will be held Sunday, Oct. 13, at 9 a.m. Eastern at the World War II memorial on the National Mall, the location where rangers under orders from the White House tried, unsuccessfully, to prevent vets from visiting in recent days. The announcement said the group Special Operations Speaks is organizing the rally...

SPRINGFIELD — Supporters of immigration rights plan a rally in Springfield on Saturday in support of two bills they say will keep the state safer. The rally is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. at All Souls Church, 449 Plainfield St., in Springfield. The bills are known as the Trust Act and the Safe Driving Act, according to a statement from organizers. The Trust Act would prevent individuals released by judges and magistrates from then being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers. The bill would also clarify that it is not the responsibility of local law enforcement officials to...

I want to comment on Jonathan Hayes' letter of Sept. 13: "Wants all to love all their neighbors as themselves" In good spirit you critique Mrs. Jane Brown's "Contends there is a fight between good and evil" letter of Sept. 10. Your statement of "...what you described was completely out of touch" leaves me thinking that there is no current "fight between good and evil going on." I'm sure you did not mean that. Of course good and evil have been part of our lives from the beginning. It is the reason for baptism to cleanse us from original sin....
