Homeland Security: Forget about foreign jihadists getting nukes or planting bombs in their underwear. The real enemies, some say, are domestic militia groups who play at war and those nasty Tea Party racists. The raid on a Michigan militia group accused of plotting war against the government will no doubt feed into the arguments of those who claim in the wake of health reform that the vast right-wing conspiracy is not only angry, but armed and dangerous. According to an Associated Press report, "Authorities said the arrests underscored the dangers of homegrown right-wing extremism of the sort seen in the...

The Hutaree militia and the rising risk of far-right violence By Eugene Robinson Tuesday, March 30, 2010 ....By contrast, there has been explosive growth among far-right, militia-type groups that identify themselves as white supremacists, "constitutionalists," tax protesters and religious soldiers determined to kill people to uphold "Christian" values. Most of the groups that posed a real danger, as the Hutaree allegedly did, have been infiltrated and dismantled by authorities before they could do any damage. But we should never forget that the worst act of domestic terrorism ever committed in this country was authored by a member of the government-hating...

Media Bias: Not long after pro football welcomed a convicted felon back on the playing field, Rush Limbaugh is dropped for his opinions from a group seeking to buy an NFL franchise. Won't someone throw a flag? When even Keith Olbermann says back off, you know the politically correct critics of the conservative icon and megaradio talk host's proposed part ownership of the St. Louis Rams are guilty of piling on. The prospect of the leading conservative voice in America participating in the purchase of a football team sent the liberal elites into cardiac arrest and into a frenzied campaign...

That Oswald assassinated President Kennedy by himself and shot Kennedy and Governor Connally with one single, magic bullet. That President Clinton knew nothing about Janet Reno’s order that resulted in the massacre of 26 children at Waco, Texas. That Flight 800 was brought down by a spark in the fuel tank instead of by a missile that most of the witnesses saw.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The FBI failed to fully investigate information suggesting other suspects may have helped Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols with the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, allowing questions to linger more than a decade after the deadly attack, a congressional inquiry concludes. The House International Relations investigative subcommittee will release the findings of its two-year-review as early as Wednesday, declaring there is no conclusive evidence of a foreign connection to the attack but that far too many unanswered questions remain. The subcommittee's report will conclude there is no doubt McVeigh and Nichols were the main perpetrators, and it discloses...

MINDANAO, PHILIPPINES - There are so many links between the Abu Sayyaf Group of the Philippines, which beheaded an American hostage a few months ago, and Osama bin Laden's Al Qaeda terrorist network, that on paper they look like the route map for a Peshawar-based airline. The links run from that high, bleak border city in Pakistan to terrorist dens in Afghanistan and Yemen; to murders and bombings in the Philippines; to the first attack on the World Trade Center; to a foiled attempt to assassinate the pope during a 1995 visit to Manila. A captured Abu Sayyaf guerrilla, ...

A California congressman said Thursday a House subcommittee will investigate whether there was a foreign connection to the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., chairman of the Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee of the International Relations Committee, said his committee's investigation will focus on whether those responsible for the Oklahoma City bombing had help from a foreign source. "We need to answer some very serious questions in order to have confidence that the truth of this monstrous crime is fully known," Rohrabacher, who has conducted an extensive personal inquiry into the bombing, said in a...

Font Size: Vidal Baboon By Scott Galupo Published 03/18/2002 TCS ALEXANDRIA, VA - Gore Vidal is a weird hybrid, an intellectual schizophrenic with equal affection for radical leftists like Noam Chomsky and America Firsters like Charles Lindbergh. In a 1992 lecture at Harvard University, Vidal described the radical half of his brain this way: "I am a radical reformer. The word 'radical' derives from the Latin word for root. Therefore, if you want to get to the root of anything you must be radical. It is no accident that the word has now been totally demonized by our masters,...

LONDON, July 10 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) – A U.S. author has launched a blistering attack on U.S. president George W. Bush’s war on terror, a U.K. newspaper reported Wednesday. In his latest book titled Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace: How We Got To Be So Hated, Gore Vidal raised several question marks, U.K. daily newspaper the Daily Mirror reported. The outspoken 76-year-old said the U.S. provoked the September 11 attacks with its own military intervention in countries around the world, the paper said. Staunch democrat Vidal, a former White House aide to John F. Kennedy, insisted the U.S. should...

LANCASTER - "When I'm God, everyone dies." Those words, scribbled in a 15-year-old boy's notebook, were part of the evidence on display Friday at the Lancaster Sheriff's Station. That notebook was accompanied by a three-ring binder featuring pictures of Columbine High School killers Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, Oklahoma City bomber and white supremacist Timothy McVeigh and the infamous Charles Manson. The 15-year-old, a Quartz Hill resident, and a 17-year-old Lancaster resident were arrested Thursday for allegedly planning a "Columbine-style" attack on Quartz Hill High School. Their target date was next Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, 2006, a date selected from...

Terry Nichols, Philippines, bombs, etc. See Mark Tapscott here: “Before Able Danger and Mohamed Atta, There Was Murrah Building Bombing and Hussain Al-Hussaini; Journalist Uncovers OKC Links to 9/11, which links to this L.A. Weekly article: “The Rohrabacher Test: Congressman questions Terry Nichols about Oklahoma City bombing”. The Mark Tapscott link also has a comprehensive statement from Jayna Davis, who has pursued this story for ten long years and has now written a book entitled “The Third Terrorist”. One interesting quote — among many — in the L.A. Weekly piece is from Richard Clarke: Clarke wrote that the theory of...

Two avowed New Jersey racists have been charged with trying to build a fertilizer bomb similar to the device that blew up in Oklahoma City, authorities said yesterday. Gabriel Carafa of Pennsville, N.J., and Craig Orler of Whiting, N.J., allegedly gave a federal informant 60 pounds of a fertilizer component and asked him to build a bomb. "Carafa boasted that this urea was more pure than the stuff that [Timothy] McVeigh used," authorities said in court papers. McVeigh was executed for his role in bombing a federal building in Oklahoma City. Convicted of beating a Hindu store owner in 2002,...

The links between Nick Berg and Zacarias Moussaoui, once described as the 20th hijacker of 9/11, opened now room for new speculations, if there are deeper ties between the OKC Bombing'95 and 9/11, than thought before. Apparently Berg knew also Moussaoui's roomates. One of them was Mujahid Menepta, who is connected to both 1993 World Trade Center bombing and the 1995 OKC bombing. But Menepta wasn't arrested in Summer 2001, when Moussaoui got caught. The FBI waited until after Sep11th.Why?Berg, Moussaoui and the OK bombing tieshttp://inn.globalfreepress.com/modules/news/article.php?storyid=269 By Ewing20012004/5/24 On May 18th, 2004, according to Newsmax, Nick Berg's family insisted that...

On the surface there would seem to be little to unite the Aryan racialists of the neo-Nazi movement with the terrorists of radical Islam. To the neo-Nazis, Muslims are almost all members of ``inferior`` races; and to the Islamic terrorists, the neo-Nazis are almost without exception either atheists or members of fringe quasi-Christian sects. But the reality is that there has been close cooperation between Muslim extremists and Fascists ever since the founding of the Nazi movement in the 1920`s. For all of their differences, Muslim extremists and Nazis have always been united by a common group of beliefs and...

Bombshell new evidence ignored by the FBI suggests a link between the Oklahoma City bombing and the man who masterminded the first World Trade Center bombing and who later drew up the blueprint for the 9/11 attacks, Fox News Channel's Rita Cosby is set to report Sunday night. "It's amazing to me that not more has been made of those phone records,” Oklahoma City attorney Michael Johnston tells Cosby, for her tenth anniversary special on the 1995 attack. The explosive new evidence shows that OKC bombing co-conspirator Terry Nichols repeatedly called a boarding house in [the Philippines'] Cebu City, an...

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma taxpayers spent almost $4.2 million to provide a defense for bombing conspirator Terry Nichols, paying for such things as books, seminars, lawn care, coffee sweetener and an alarm system. Expenses filed by court-appointed defense attorney Brian Hermanson included $28.05 so Nichols could read the book, "The American Terrorist," an account of the life of Oklahoma City bombing mastermind Timothy McVeigh. A $300 claim was filed for lawn care costs for one of the defense attorneys, whose $750-a-month rental house in McAlester was paid for by taxpayers during Nichols' trial. Coffee sweetener that cost $3.99 was among...

WASHINGTON (AP) - Just weeks before Timothy McVeigh bombed the Oklahoma City federal building in 1995, U.S. intelligence and law enforcement received several warnings that Islamic terrorists were seeking to strike on American soil and that a likely target was government buildings, documents show. The information, though it was never linked to McVeigh, was stark enough that the Clinton administration urged stepped up security patrols and screening at federal buildings nationwide, including those in Oklahoma. The government, however, didn't fortify buildings with cement barriers like those hurriedly installed after McVeigh detonated his explosive-laden truck at the curb of the Murrah...

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Terry Nichols admitted during plea negotiations in his state trial last year that he played a major role in the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, a newspaper reported Sunday. Nichols admitted to prosecutors in a signed statement that he helped Timothy McVeigh make the bomb that killed 168 people in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in 1995, The Oklahoman reported. McVeigh was put to death for masterminding the attack. "McVeigh told me what to do," Nichols said in the statement, which was prepared with the aid of his attorneys. Nichols, 49, is serving life sentences without...
