It is interesting they posited the bacteria would change this favorably and be responsible for such body changes, outside of the loss of calories. The mice given the changed bacteria had the benefit without changing their diet.
Thanks.

800 calories per day? Yikes! My target is 1,800 and that’s hard to achieve.
“Around 2 billion people worldwide are overweight.” There’s a huge amount of fear being broadcast about upcoming food shortages, so maybe this problem will take care of itself.
So you can go to the all you can eat buffet as long as you sprinkle some skinny gut flora on your food....
these posts are amazing for “health lurkers” like me - thanks
I’d rather have a full belly than a long life and an empty belly.
They’re getting ready to tell people worldwide that food shortages are a good thing.
800 calories a day! Good luck in the gym lifting weights. LOL. We live among such promoted insanity these days.
Was this written to prepare us for the Biden famine? 🤪
There was an earlier article about food processing plants being set on fire as a form of food terrorism and my thought was the only terrorism going on for many is against the weight bearing components of their bathroom scales.
Actually lifting during the fast period of one’s day is supposed to yield better results.
Not when your muscle glycogen is nearly depleted. All I can say is good luck.
How do you know?
I’m a creature of comforts.
800 calories a day is plenty for a 70 pound person.
You need more than 800 calories a day. Many more - some in the form of Yuengling.
Walk. WALK. Be on your feet more than on your seat.
I just sold out of my biz and took a coveted job at a local private golf club. Lots of tour players. Lots of activity. Great membership - mostly young - that throw money around like crazy.
Couldn’t be happier. At my age I wondered what could keep me young, and I figured it out.
So, like maybe I should eat/drink yogurt or cultured buttermilk or kefir or sweet acidophilus milk? Just checking. These bacteria have to come from somewhere eh?!
Sardonic wit, the breakfast of champions.
TRF = Time restricted feeding. ND = normal diet
“Performance wise, TRF clearly outperformed ND. Low-responders in both groups increased their bench press by merely 4% in both groups, with the highest number reaching +12.2% in ND, and an impressive +22.7% in TRF. “

I am all for time restricted eating but it doesn’t even seem safe to lose weight that quickly. Rapid weight loss through IF/CR could trigger gallstone problems for one thing.
